This weekend brings a diverse lineup of new streaming options across multiple platforms.
- Prime Video debuts The Wheel of Time Season 3, with its first episodes now available.
- Netflix offers the legal and family drama Adolescence, featuring four episodes filmed in continuous takes. The platform also launched Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney, a 12-week live talk show, and the sci-fi adventure The Electric State, starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt. While audiences have responded more favorably, The Electric State has received overwhelmingly negative reviews from critics.
- Apple TV+ introduces the crime drama limited series Dope Thief.
- Peacock premieres the crime thriller Long Bright River, starring Amanda Seyfried, along with Top Chef Season 22, which takes the competition to Canada.
- Disney+ welcomes Moana 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the animated favorite.
- Max adds a touch of horror-comedy with The Parenting.
In theaters, Disney’s live-action Snow White had a lackluster opening, earning $45 million amid controversy and mixed reviews. Meanwhile, Robert De Niro’s mob drama The Alto Knights struggled at the box office with a disappointing debut.
