But I remember when I had started it, I was growing a beard, y'all. I don't know how the hell I was the only one in my family that could grow a beard. I think it's because my mom had cravings on balut. Yeah. That's why I'm hairy. But anyways, it was really painful. How does the electrolysis feel like? Because I know they like stab you in. So I was just like, just do it. Just raw dog it. Just raw dog it. And it wasn't worth it. No, it's not. It was the most painful thing I've ever done. And I was like, what is this message? Yeah. And then it banned right after. I was there for literally the second it got banned. Really? Because my boyfriend, he's out of state right now, but he was texting me. He's in the East Coast. And he was like, babe, TikTok is being banned in 30 minutes. And I was like, girl, I'm in the middle of my workout. Like, what do you mean? Girl.

So after my workout, thankfully I was like almost done. I went in the sauna and I was like doomsday scrolling in the sauna for 20 minutes. And then I saw a live of my friend Fernanda.

They were on live, like, counting down, like, the second of the band. Oh, my gosh. And 8.30, East Coast hit. 5.30 our time, I think? Yeah, I think so. I think it was 3.30. 5.30, right? Okay. 5.30 our time. And it didn't shut down right away, right? It didn't shut down right away. It was, like, 5.33. Yeah.

Yeah. And then I check my notification and then my notification was not loading. And I was like, okay, bitch, let's try to like post something. So at like 534, I posted me making my matcha just for fun. Just to see if it would upload. I think it did upload. And it uploaded. Yeah.

And then I think 10 minutes after that, that's when we all got the note. Yeah. Like the official like TikTok is shutting down and whatnot. I'm kind of mad because I did. I'm one of those Americans, I guess, that deleted the app. Me too. Oh my God. I can't find it on the app store. Wait, so you don't have TikTok? I don't have TikTok. You don't have TikTok? Why does this feel not like the same app that it was? Because I have it on my other phone and I was scrolling through it and I was like, it's not, it doesn't feel the same. Yeah, I mean, I'm still getting the same like For You page, but it's just like the energy of it. I'm like, wait.

And I was really excited for that vibe again. Yeah. And I felt like a lot of YouTubers, including me, was starting to feel like, oh my god, let's go back to YouTube. I mean, I am kind of back to YouTube. I'm making a podcast episode every week. But even I was like, hmm, let me like go back to my mukbangs with my sis.

Honestly, you know. Because honestly, I feel like TikTok doesn't take long to make. But making YouTube videos is long to make. But it's also fun. You know? Do you think Americans will ever just pick up our shit and leave like how we did with Vine? Because Vine, did it ever shut down? No, I feel like Americans, we all just collectively got over Vine. No, I think it got shut down. Can you fact check that, Kat? And then they turned it into Musical.ly.

I thought it was the other way around. No, Musical.ly was its own app and then they sold it. And then it became TikTok. Musical.ly was the original TikTok. But Vine, I think... It said Twitter shut down Vine in 2017 because it wasn't profitable. Okay, but does that mean like everyone just quit Vine and then moved on? They probably just like took it out because it wasn't making any money and then made… But why was it not made? It was having competition from other platforms. Yeah.
