Thank you all for giving me this opportunity. My apologies. (Gestures with hands). Absolutely fantastic. Sir, I'm overwhelmed by your welcome. I'm also overwhelmed by your interest in Ironman. You're curious about my Ironman experience.

First of all, I'll introduce myself. I've been a pediatrician for over twenty years, serving in Pimpalgaon Baswant.

My education... I come from a farming family in a rural area. My education was in a rural setting. I entered medical college after my higher secondary education, specializing in science. I did my MBBS at Nashik Medical College and my PG in Mumbai. After working in Mumbai for some time, I started serving in Pimpalgaon Baswant. I've been here for over 20 years, running the hospital.

But in these 20 years, something happened that changed my life. I felt a need for something more. I felt a need to challenge myself. That's how it started.

I started thinking about what else I could do. I started focusing on fitness. I started running. I participated in the Nashik to Pandharpur pilgrimage run.

In 2017, our Nashik Police Commissioner, Dr. Ravindra Kumar Singhal, introduced me to the Ironman title. Ironman is one of the toughest single-day endurance events in the world.

It involves a 3.8-kilometer swim, a 180-kilometer cycling race, and a 42.2-kilometer marathon, all to be completed within 16-16.5 hours.

I completed three Ironman races in Pimpalgaon. I also completed the Comrades Marathon.

Comrades is another tough ultramarathon, covering 90 kilometers and requiring completion within 12 hours.

So, I've completed three Ironman races and one Comrades Marathon. My son is also the youngest Ironman in the world. He completed an Ironman at the age of 17. He's the only child in the world to have achieved this at that age. Sir, I just wanted to share that.

How do you manage both? What's the most important thing you'd like to share about managing both? How do you manage both? Well, when I have time, I give it my all. When I'm focused, nothing else matters.

Ironman's tagline is "Anything is possible." I believe anything is possible if you have the will.

When I train for Ironman, I don't compromise my work. Even when I'm tired, I give my best in rural areas. When a child needs me, it's not just a professional obligation; it's a commitment. I feel responsible for every child.

I spend the whole day seeing patients. To balance this, I dedicate a specific time for my training. I usually train in the evenings.

A common question from new parents, especially modern parents, is what common mistakes they make that affect their child's health.

If you delay having children, it can lead to difficulties.

What about the government's guidelines? The minimum age for marriage is 21 for boys and 18-19 for girls. But nowadays, people get married later due to education, usually around 24-25 years old.

There's no specific rule about when to have children, but the government's minimum age is 21 for males and 18 for females because physical development is usually complete by then.

For boys, physical development is usually complete around 21-22 years, and for girls, the reproductive system is usually mature by 18. Ideally, if you get married around 23-24-25 and plan to have children, it's better to be prepared and healthy.

If you delay pregnancy, the risk of complications increases. There's a common question about when to introduce solid foods.

Mother's milk is the best food. I consider mother's milk to be nectar for the child. I recommend breastfeeding for 4.5-5 months.

If the mother is well-nourished, there's no need for supplements. In some villages, mothers don't eat enough. They think that if they eat more, they'll have problems. That's not true.

If the mother eats well, her milk supply will be good. The child's growth and development will be good. I suggest breastfeeding for 4.5-5 months.

After that, you can introduce complementary foods like cow's milk, water, rice porridge, etc. You can also add fruit juices.

If the mother has a cold, cough, or fever, she should still breastfeed. The infection is unlikely to pass through the breast milk. The mother should wear a mask and maintain hygiene.

If breastfeeding is possible, it's best because protein-energy malnutrition is a major cause of child mortality in India.

There are HIV-positive babies. If you adopt such a child, it's important to take precautions. I strongly recommend breastfeeding.

Start weaning early, around 4.5 months. Introduce cow's milk, rice porridge, etc. This will ensure proper physical and mental development.

Many people use packaged foods, thinking they are better than breast milk. But that's not true. Packaged foods are convenient, but not necessarily better.

Prepare traditional foods like rice porridge using millets. These are healthier options.

Pasta, bottled water, etc., are not necessary. Breast milk is sufficient. After delivery, breast milk will come naturally. In normal delivery, breast milk comes immediately. In C-section, it may take some time.

If the initial milk is less, don't worry. The quantity will increase. I suggest giving only breast milk initially. There are many reasons why a mother may not have enough milk. But sometimes, it's due to deficiencies. You can use some supplements.

Children's physical activity is decreasing. This leads to obesity and other health problems.

At birth, BCG, polio, and hepatitis B vaccines are given. Within a month, other vaccines like triple polio, rotavirus, pneumococcal, and IPV are given. The government provides these vaccines for free.
