Be the right club. Be the right club today. That's better than most. How about him? That is better than most. Better than most. Expect anything different.

Ladies and gentlemen, we've got it all we could ever ask for out of a day of golf and all we could ever ask for out of a Sunday at the masters. Welcome of course, to the no laying up live show presented as always by our friends at high noon. He's back after a night off. Mr. TC, how are you? I'm great. Great date night last night. Great day today. Uh,

We had three games between flag football and baseball, and then just sitting out back watching golf all day. What a day of golf it was, Solly. And a little programming note here. Not scheduled to appear tonight. No. We had some logistical issues from the guys getting back from Augusta. I'm back in Jacksonville as of this morning, but had to bring in Mr. Big just to check in on how things are going. We're going to let him out quickly. He's the opener tonight. But how are we doing, Mr. Big? God, we're excited, Solly. Legitimately excited.

stoked for tomorrow. I mean, the stage could not be set more perfectly. We're going to have so much to talk about regardless of what happens tomorrow. I cannot wait. It's going to be a fabulous, fabulous Sunday.

All right, well, here's the tea about High Noon's non-carbonated vodka iced tea. It's made with real vodka, real iced tea. It's got no added sugar. And if you're a hard tea lover who's done with those sugary malt-based teas, I know that includes my guy TC, you're going to love the non-carbonated High Noon vodka iced tea. It's got 90 calories.

It's great for any occasion under the sun. Comes in four delicious flavors, original, lemon, raspberry, and I'm still rocking the peach. All week long, I've been killing these peaches. Neil, when we got to Augusta, he went to highnoonspirits.com to find where we could find some iced tea. He literally actually did it. It's not just a normal call to action in the ad. The ads were working on Mr. Neil Schuster. So high noon, sons up. Thank you to high noon for sticking with us from Augusta.

through all the major rounds that were not this one uh because this is this is peak this is about as good is this the biggest saturday night we've ever had since we've done this show i think uh saturday night before it was like saturday afternoon before the before the old course with cam and rory was up there as well but i mean the big golfer and

And really, Pinehurst was pretty big, too. Yeah. This is different. This is different. This is the Masters, man. This is the Career Grand Slam. This is the Rory thing. Well, tonight seems different. You guys, no light show? No...

I'm outnumbered here. We're not in person. The party, it was a big party today. A lot of people came through. A lot of people that had RSVP'd no started swinging around a little bit. Were you guys partying today? Are you guys sweating it? Where are you at, Randy, right now? What are you rooting for? What are you hoping happens tomorrow? All right.

I mean, I gotta be honest. I was sweating it a little bit when Rory rolled in that Eagle on 15. And I think the lead got to four. I was like, Holy shit. Like this could be four or five shots, uh, by the end of the day.

trev had said earlier in the round like he thought 15 16 might be the winning number i thought that was crazy but then i was like well yeah rory might be the one to go get there i i legitimately nervous which made me so happy tc our guy the big golfer making plays coming in fighting the swing but getting the ball in the hole the table is set i mean i think since sunday night last year at pinehurst

Like you could not have asked you, we could not have arrived at a better moment in men's professional golf. Like this is this, if you can't get up for tomorrow, you can't get up for, for golf. It's like that Under Armour commercial. Like exactly. You know?

And we're just thankful that your guy, Scotty, didn't ruin it and have one of the worst moments in professional golf history that this would have been if he would have been up there to ruin this one. But can we, regardless of what happens tomorrow, regardless, and we're going to have a field day, of course, if Rory goes out and shoots 76, can we give our guy some love for a Friday 66, Saturday 66, after the disaster that happened on Thursday? Does this, my question to you, and I'm going to start with you, TC. I know, Big, we got to get you out of here soon, but

Does this feel like a different guy? Does this feel like a different Rory or is it the same thing? TBD. No, you got to answer. Can I walk you through where I'm at with it? Because I think birdie, eagle, birdie start. And then when he birdied five, I was like, oh shit. I was like, chill. And then eight was sloppy. I think between eight and then he had a good one in the nine, but between eight, ten,

11 and 12. His distance control was pitiful. And then he kind of got it back there, 13. 15 was one of the best shots I've ever seen anybody hit, ever. And really, really proper shot into 17 as well. So kind of a mixed bag. I don't think it's a different golfer, though. I think he's just playing great golf, as he has been for the last

nine ten twelve months it's it's no different than that but uh he's got bryson on his on his heels bryson's got like his c plus game and he's only two back and i would be worried if i was you guys i mean of course i'm worried like why wait what hold on hold on hold on hold on what tell me walk us through what exactly you're worried about i'm worried that tomorrow goes horribly give us the mindset monsters

or Bryson just runs them down and plays better. All of them. I'm worried about her showing up on the first tee shot. Again, it's not – I'm not going to sit here and celebrate tonight like it's all over. I've been through this too many times to even remotely do that. Jordan Spieth took like a six-shot lead in the back nine in 2015 and didn't even come close to winning the whole damn thing, right? So anything can happen on this golf course. It's not over. He has a meltdown on the back nine tomorrow.

I'm not prepared for that. I don't even know what I said at the Pinehurst recap last year because I was just so bodied and so just bewildered, beleaguered, whatever the phrase is. I don't know how I'm going to get through tomorrow.

night. We didn't have a live show when the speed thing happened. I was legitimately despondent that night and I couldn't, I could not handle it. And if that happens tomorrow, it's going to be an all time. It's going to be an all time show either way. Like I truly, it's going to be an all time day either way. I cannot wait to find out.

I still stand here. I'm very stoked. I'm very excited about the pick and the enthusiasm and the belief that this is a different guy. Cause what we saw the last two days is like what I was picturing in terms of this feels different for Rory. And this feels like a great opportunity. Like no one else that kind of rose up at any point today could withstand what happened. And the guy did Rory did. He had a couple of bad moments, but everybody did today. And he answered the bell and,

Bryson making the big birdie on 18 doesn't – it's great for action. It's a great moment. It doesn't change anything about what Rory did today, Big.

No, no, no, no, no, it doesn't. And to your point earlier, Rory, he's put together two fabulous, fabulous days of golf. I, you know, I can't even develop a bit fabulous days of golf, but downgrade him. He's, he's, he's been playing wonderfully. I'm nervous, Solly. I'm worried that, you know, one of my favorite bits, I, we proclaimed Rory dead. What was that five years ago, six years ago now,

Like that, the bit might be dead tomorrow. I don't know how much sleep I'm going to get. Like I've staked most of my reputation on that. I totally forgot about this, Randy. He has said to me before that when he does win another major, he is going to call you out in the press or afterwards.

And I don't know. Maybe it's been long enough. If he does media, Solly. I think if he wins, he probably will. But it's been six years since you declared him dead. I don't know if he's going to remember that, but I forgot until you said that he's going to call you out in the press conference afterwards. We will see. I know you got dinner plans, and we appreciate you popping on, but I'm not going to let you out without your actual –

pick prediction on what is going to happen tomorrow and think this through about how you want to do this. Right. No, I know. I know. I know. Truly. I think my head, I know. Well, I will just note, you know, Bryson had a three shot lead going into Sunday at Pinehurst last year. We're not quite exactly flipped, but you know, Rory, a two shot lead here. Um,

My head says Rory is going to win, and I can't believe I'm saying that. Wow. Come on over, boy. No, my heart. I want the bit to keep going. I want the content. I mean, can you – if Bryson body bags Rory twice in under 18 months, like – Unrecoverable. He does it without his A game. Yeah. I just –

I think Rory is going to do it. He had a look in his eye. He had a look in his eye. And I want to be clear here, Randy, I don't think you were like wrong on the dead thing. I, again, I think he's reborn. I think this is a, if he, if he goes on to win, I don't think your, your, is he dead bit is wrong. Cause I, I honestly think that he has died multiple deaths in the last several years. Uh, and he's been reborn. Uh, if he goes on to triumph tomorrow, tomorrow's not Easter Sunday. Uh,

We were off by a week. Darn it. You've got to want to root for that. You've got to want to root for that. I'm sorry. I can't wait. Like I said, either Rory's going to play well and win, and that's going to be obviously a thing. He's not going to play well and not going to win. Or he's going to play well and Bryson's going to play better and run him down. Like, there...

No matter what happens. I just want to see good golf from both of them. I know. I know. I want a moment that's going to stand the test of time tomorrow, TC.

I was worried that it was going to get that we were looking at like a five-shot lead there, which would have been... It's a bad spot to be for Rory, honestly. This is way better. He's going to stay a little more competitively sharp. He doesn't have to think about not blowing it tomorrow. He knows he's got to go out and play a great round. Before I get out... Randy, question for you. Yeah. Do you think Rory is leading by the time they get through number two tomorrow? Yeah, I do. Okay. Yeah.

I was going to ask you guys, is this a two-person tournament? Like, it's a two-person tournament, right? Yeah, for sure. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, I think if Ludwig was, like, at seven or eight, I'd feel a lot better about that. But, yeah, he's just – his iron play was atrocious today. Yeah.

Conor's just playing great. That's not dismissive. He doesn't seem to make the birdies to do it. Big, I know you got plans. We really, really, really appreciate you popping in. We have a dinner, Rezzy. I know. You weren't even supposed to be on the show tonight. This was an emergency call to the pen. With the way bullpen schedules work. Yeah, that's difficult. It's a challenge, I know. Guys, have a great show. Tomorrow's going to be lit. Tomorrow's going to be lit.

Speaking of lit, I believe this guy was out on the golf course at Augusta National Golf Club. Mr. Kevin Van Valkenburg. Been working on a little side project on the course of this week. Kevin, where were you for the big moments today? What did you see out there? So Schuster and I made a plan to meet up 15 Green at 5 o'clock. We've been gathering sound this week. So I went out there. You know Neil likes punctuality, TC. I was like not going to be late.

great a carter schuster couldn't find him anywhere uh so i was i went up to the top of the bleachers sat next to one of the green jackets uh talked to some the members and they were just like come sit with us like let's let's talk i want to talk about the podcast it was incredible we were like making you know they were making wagers about guys sitting in 16. so we slowly saw the afternoon wave come through

And I was right there, top of the bleachers, first Rory shot into 15. We could see it was the longest. Kids were telling me that I was sitting with longest drive of the day. Oh, my God. That's in the absolute go zone. So I was kind of narrating it. I was kind of doing my impression of Randy and Cody, you know, narrating for Sky Sports. Oh, my God, Rory's over the ball. This has got to be the moment of the tournament. And you got the audio? I got the audio. And just, I mean, when that ball hit, you could just feel a place just vibing. It was so fun. I mean, I haven't seen, you know,

I would say, you know, I came to start in golf covering in 2015. That's one of the best shots I've ever seen live. I mean, just truly, you know, TC, I heard you say one of the great shots of all time. Shooter just walked in, my God, here we go.

Neil saw his ex out there today, probably, after all that talk last night. It turns out, you know, I was vibing. It turns out Schuster and I were like probably, you know, probably 50 feet from each other the whole time. We didn't even know it. It was electric. It was so much fun. And then Bryson, obviously, like, birdie on 16 was really cool. Just a really fun experience. The Green Jackets are telling me, like, all right, son, just put brakes a little bit to the left. You don't want to leave this one short because it drifts right at the end. I was like, God, this is some good, like, insight. You know, I loved it.

So it was really a lot of really fun stuff out there today. I was at that moment, that shot in 15 when he hit the shot starts walking after it. I mean, the screenshots look so much like the tiger shot in 2011, which was on Sunday. And no, he didn't go on to make the putt. But it was it was like for all he's learned about that shot, hitting it too flat and coming back in from too far on Thursday, hitting it too flat, hitting the green and going way over it, leading to double.

going maybe under clubbing a little bit yesterday and getting lucky with that ball staying on the front to say, no, here's what I'm doing. It was six iron, I believe is what they flashed, which sounded like a lot of club to me for needing to cover. I think 189 to the front, maybe like 194 depends on there was two different yards listed.

but he just launched that thing so high up in the air. I don't know how exactly he did it, opened the face, weakened the grip, whatever he had to do. He swung so hard, got so much spin on it, and launched it up in the air. And I flash back to 15 at Pinehurst when he was in between two clubs, went with the lower lofted club, hit the green and couldn't hold it, went long, made bogey. That led to the cascade of errors. All that to say,

Maybe a lesson learned from that moment was when you need, you know, a long iron, mid iron into a hard green. When this happens again, I'm taking whatever cloud I'm swinging hard to get the spin on it, to shoot it up in the air and hold the green. And when it hit the green, I audibly was just like, yes, yes, yes.

Yes, because it kept getting closer. Oh, it was so good. And we had such perspective on that, watching shots come in all week on this hole and not hold and just all that we've seen from how hard that shot is. And that's, again, where I go back to, like, this is a different dude that we've seen to this point. To that point, I think, like, even in the moment, like, even before he hit it, I remember thinking, all right, this is –

he could tie up a loose end here. Like in, like, you know, in that moment, he's like, all right, I've been thinking about this shot for the last, you know, 36 hours straight. And I want another crack at it. And, and he got one and he pulled it off and he knew it. He pimp stepped it. I mean, it was like the, it was like Iverson, you know, like stepping over guys in the Lakers. Yeah.

It's just incredible. Yeah, I don't know. You said, Sully, I think it's Pinehurst, like that is your superpower. That is what you do. You take long irons, you throw them up way in the sky, and it was just fun to see him tap into that superpower. It's like someone forgot that that's the thing that they were as good as anybody in the game at.

I disagree with the data on this one, by the way. It says he only gained 0.96 shots with that. I'm out on strokes gained because he gained more than that on that one shot, if he has me. Go ahead. It was like strokes gained against scar tissue. That's true. KVV, speaking of just being the guy, where were you for the first five or six holes of his day? Were you watching from the media center? I was watching. I let Neil kind of take that one in the front. Look, very...

Roy's been doing really well every time Neil's been with him this week. It's only when Neil has abandoned his child that Roy has kind of fumbled. So I was like, you need to go out and make this happen if you wanted to make it happen. And then I kind of picked him up

On the back nine. And so I was there, TC, I was thinking to me today, I don't know if you saw Scotty's shot into 15, way over in the left trees, and just fired it right at the bleachers. Extremely kind of scummy move. Hit a guy, ball ricocheted back, and it got up and down for birdie. I was like, that's super unbecoming.

I mean, Rory was backstabbing on somebody's face there at one point, though, too. Like, he just straight up domed somebody. It didn't dome somebody. It landed on the ground. It hit somebody in the front row. It didn't hit somebody in the head. What was that, on 14? On 14, yeah. What do you got? I think, guys, if I could just say, you know, I've been thinking a lot about this a little bit on the ride home. This is like our Ollie Frazier.

Like this is, this is all the shit tomorrow. I mean, we're going to be thinking about this, whatever happens for a long freaking time. They always said like styles make fights, but here's two like very, you know, as you can different of styles as you can have in the game, but different personalities, you know, maybe it's Ali Frazier too, since they already sort of had their first bout. And I just think this is setting up to be either the greatest moment of Rory's career or one of the most crushing.

And all of that hangs in the balance. It really isn't. There's no scenario where Rory's like, well, it was a good fight and he won. It's just, if he gets through, like you said, if he gets through two and he still has the lead, great. If he doesn't, all of a sudden, full-blown panic. I think through two and three, that's going to be such a massive... There's just the opportunity for that to completely reverse. If he makes...

par and Bryson makes Eagle or or even going into three I think then you know then things kind of normalize four five six a little bit but man two could be like one and two are going to be really interesting tomorrow what was the setup going into Pinehurst final day Bryson was leading by three I think yeah and then it was quickly kind of and then Rory was up two or three on the one nine point in the back nine I know because I I should know because I detailed every single

coming down the back nine. So end of third round, Bryson was up by three over Cantlay Rory and Matthew Pavon. Um, and at one point on the back nine, Rory got it to eight under par with a birdie, uh, on 13, um, Bryson. I don't think he ever got to more than two up cause Bryson never fell below six under par. Uh,

There was a brief moment, Sully, when Bryson was standing over a birdie putt and Rory took a three-shot lead for about 30 seconds. And Bryson had to make that putt to get it back to two. I remember that very briefly. How many balls does Bryson hit tonight, man?

he just didn't have it man he did he honestly it's been spraying all over i mean it's yeah i was impressed that he really like gritted it out i mean that was grit that's not the guy who used to like completely melt down to the gusso that is a dude who was like no i cannot let this get away from me even the birdie putt that he had on 15 like that was a you know a must make he did not hit a great shot way left of the green and was able to get it up and down that was crucial that was

It was five at that point. It was letting it really get close to slipping away. I thought the chip on 10. He lost almost two shots with approach play today. He was truly vibing his face off around the greens. The up and down on 10, do you see? I thought that was like, all right, Bryson's going to be exposed here. He's going to be exposed here. He just never got exposed in anything. He's accelerated. I think it could have gotten pretty squirrely because that second shot in nine was god-awful.

That was so bad. Half short. And then he missed this, kind of got caught with his hand in the cookie jar on 10 on that approach shot, went going right at that pin. And it's like, that's kind of a do or die shot. And I think could have gone a lot farther down, down the hill there too. His chip on three was garbage. Like that was a terrible ball short there. Oh, that was, yeah. Awful bogey there. But like, you know, he just,

like really good two putt on nine and then the up and down on 10 like that like he could have easily played him like played his way out of the tournament just on those two holes and and then you know bogey on 12 but just gritty as hell down the stretch the birdie on 16 and then you know 18 was kind of a gift but you know you got to have those go in sometimes yeah all right kev we're gonna send you out of here on this what happens tomorrow what's your official prediction

I think Rory wins. I think that he has played the best golf over the course of the week. His swing has looked incredibly in control. I know that the narrative is there. I know that like people are going to feel like, oh my God, if it gets close, like, is he going to sort of melt? But I really think you have to sort of stick with like whose swing has looked the most dialed. You know, I don't know that Bryson can go and hit 400 balls tonight and get back to the sort of

premium ball strikers you know way that he was for stretches uh at pinehurst he wasn't obviously great on the last day now bryson already showed that he can hit it all over pinehurst and still kind of hang in there but i just think that you know royce swing he just is hitting those like

The shots that feel like hold-offs, it's not the full release, club goes all the way back around your neck. It's just like I'm controlling trajectory, I'm controlling spin, I'm doing all the right things, and he's starting the ball on really good lines with putts. I feel like I don't buy into like, oh, he's due. I don't think this place gives anybody any breaks, but I just think if I had to lean one way, I'd say he's playing the best golf, and he's going to get it done.

All right. Thank you, Mr. Kev. I believe we're going to roll in a next guest here shortly. You guys know, I don't know what's going to happen, but what I do know, T.C.,

is that Roback has our favorite polos, our favorite hoodies, shorts, pants, you name it. They got the best fit. They got the best feel. It's as simple as that. We're in the heart of spring. They are dialing up some incredible polo designs. I like that hoodie you got on too. I love this. This is a little herringbone, the herringbone, a little footy hoodie. We actually have these in our, we still have these in our shop. We got these. I think we sold out. I think we got some more.

We like a lot of the row back that we put in our shop. We're struggling to keep it in stock. The floral polos are great. If you're not a floral guy, the fairway fusion polo is great. And they also got the fun stripe combos going as well. They got a bunch of good color block stuff right now. It's just, they're vibing their faces off over there.

The Delta Looper shorts are my favorite. They're back in stock for the spring as well. They're great for golf, great off the course. They're incredible. They're very comfortable, look good, and feel good in any situation. Time to load up on some RoBak now that it's spring. Use code NLU at RoBak.com for a generous 20% off your first order through the end of this week. That's spelled R-H-O-B-A-C-K.com. That's 20% off polos, shorts, and more with code NLU.

I'm sorry, I left... Oh, God. I left my window open to... I'm sorry, can you hear it? Can you hear it in the background? Oh, my God. Gentlemen! I want it. I call it a noise complaint. I don't know what to do.

It's a family neighborhood.

Can you hear me? Mr. Garrido Schuster. Neil Schuster, welcome to the party, pal. Oh, my God. Thanks for having me. Can you hear me? Loud and clear. All right, good. I'm just making sure. First off, I want to apologize to Cody. I was supposed to have the camera set up. I had a whole plan, and then the plan went out the window when Rory hit that shot on 15. I couldn't leave. I couldn't leave. I was out there all day. I watched, I think, 12 shots into 15. I was getting a little discouraged because I was out there looking for a roar, like an authentic...

Augusta roar. And I missed the one on two. I was up on eight TC. I was watching Tommy. I was trying to, I was trying to watch some other people on the front nine and I thought I was going to miss it. And I was like, God, it's good. Nobody's going for it. And then all of a sudden, you know, you mean Lee Westwood? Yeah. Lee Westwood. I was trying to be respectful of you TC. Anyway,

All of a sudden, this ball comes trundling down the fairway about 40 yards farther than everybody else's. And I was like, oh, my gosh, Rory's got, you know, he's going to have a mid iron in here. And I guess I just like personal highlight in my golf life to see my favorite player hit my favorite shot.

And not only hit my favorite shot, but hit it to four fucking feet was just like lifetime stuff. It was awesome. And then right after that, it got crazy. You had Bryson and Rory's team off on 16. Bryson's coming in. Just a lot going on back in that corner. It was like everything I could have asked for to finish that round. I sat up like KVV said. I was probably, I was over on the far left pinned against the railing at the top of the bleachers in 15. I've been saving that.

spot all week for Saturday because I've heard so many people say that that's the best grandstand on the property. And it delivered. It was awesome. I was sitting next to my guy from Mexico City. We were vibing. I mean, it was just, it was electric, man. And then Bryson comes through. He makes birdie. He's getting everybody riled up on 16. You know, the people's golfer. We have a clash of titans, gentlemen. I mean, this is the juice. This is it. So I know you've probably been over all this. I'm sorry I'm late. I'm just...

I'm really happy. I'm really jacked up.

Let's get to a couple questions then as it relates to this. I mean, we can talk about this all night, and we probably will. Our guy TGN. He's hanging out with his friend from Mexico City. Was it Benjamín Salinas? No. Actually, I didn't catch his name, but we were just hanging out up there. It's kind of like trapped all the way on the railing in the top row, and I had a couple of green jackets behind me. Everybody was just having a good time. I mean, it's fantastic. I was bummed. I did hear a get in the hole.

on Rory's tee shot on 16, which that was my only real disappointment of the day. That was unbecoming. But otherwise, just an all-time day in the bleachers. TGLNcell says, Rory's round. Why shouldn't we be panicking over the stretch where he was leaking oil? Should we be panicking at all? I didn't see any of that, so I can't comment. I don't think it's panicking, but...

You know, it's it's first of all, TGL incels been on fire this week. Yes. This is like the third time we've called on him for a question. He wasn't good. I don't think that was that was great.

I'll tell you why we're not worried, because he rebounded from it again. He hit the shot on 15. Yeah, his round was in three acts. He might have sent this question in before he had the great finish, I think. But he came out almost too hot. It was a question of how he was going to sustain that for another three hours after that run through the first six holes, I'll call it, because it was a good par he made on six, too. But

Eight was tough. Here's what I'll say about eight, nine, ten, all of that. It was just kind of marginal misses. They weren't good shots. They were deserved bogeys.

But I think the quote, the only thing that's going to undo Rory is like a big miss, big-ass mistake. And he did not make any big-ass mistakes. Like I was sweating the approach shot into 11. Like there was a chance of pulling that into the water. There was a chance of going into the water on 15. There was a chance of going into the water on 13. Almost hit it in the water on 16. Like that one, I didn't like being left with that pin. But he's not, you know, it doesn't feel like he's getting ready to have the big, massive miss. Can replay that one tomorrow night if it happens.

but that's, that's what has me feeling confident heading into tomorrow's like he balls going where he's looking. The distance is a little bit off at times, but that's going to happen at Augusta. Like it's hard with the elevation changes and the uneven lies and the winds and the, and the,

Different levels of adrenaline. So I don't know. I mean, I would say this, the shots I saw, the approach into 15, the tee shot into 16, the approach into 17 and the approach into 18. So good. I watched the one in 17 on the one in 18. He early walked that one too. I mean, early walk the one in 15 and,

It was just, he feels like he's really under control in the golf that I saw Rory play. And in the big moments, he hit the shots he had to hit. And TC, I heard you say earlier, you know, Bryson's got his C, you know, C plus game.

You could argue that should worry you that he's too back, but I would say that that's my catch up with him. Yeah. Because like he's, he was, you know, he kind of scraped it up there to the 15 great ship there. And then, yeah, he chipped in on 18. I mean, that's like Bryson's got something for the 18th hole. He keeps, he keeps having fireworks there, man. Remember when he didn't last year, he spun one back into the hole. Yeah. It was crazy to me that like watching 18, that Rory's drive looked like it was well, right. Yeah.

It's that far, man. And then Bryson's looked like it was in much better shape. And Royce ended up in the fairway and Bryson's ends up

at the distance they're hitting it or whatever the line is farther right than the than the camera makes it look from there like he was about on the right edge of where he wanted to be like rory just looked like he was he was losing it right you know a little bit of a spinny one there but i think like even going back to 13 for rory that i was really curious to see what he was going to do there because he was in that right you know kind of uh fuzzy stuff second cut yeah and um

You know, he hit a good shot there. Like didn't wasn't a great shot, but it was just like, man, he did what he had to do. He got it over the water. And then for him to chip it from an inch away from the bunker lift, like that would have been so deep in my head, made the birdie there and all that. So, you know, I listen, I'm impressed. He's playing. He's playing.

As good or better that he was at, at Pinehurst last year. So I share one other, I don't know if they should, they probably did show on the broadcast, but it was actually a really cool. Lowry was playing ahead of Rory and he,

it was like the entire property came to a standstill, including the group ahead of him. Lowry went over and stood next to that lone pine on six, between 15 and 16. And she just got, you know, kind of took it all in as Rory was making that Eagle putt. And it was just kind of, it was really cool to see like, you know, a good friend watching he's competing, but he looked back and,

I don't know, getting that whole scene and the place just went absolutely nuts. It was really, really cool. It's like everybody wanted to see him make that putt, and that was fantastic. And you know who wasn't going nuts through any of this was Rory. He just went 66-66. No arm raises, no tribal yells, no minor fist pumps with everything, but he just seems super mellowed. He seems like...

that did just that he's on a mission. Like that's just, again, I just keep going back to, it feels different. I mean, those were two unbelievable rounds of golf that he just played. He'd be round of the day, low round of the day, solo in round two, tied for low round of the day today with anybody. Zach Johnson, Zach Johnson. Next best round was three under with Bryson Reed, Ludwig Echevarria, Homa, Axe Homa. Hell yeah.

I saw Max. Max had a great up and down on 17. Great drive out into 18. It looks like he picked up his grind right where he left off yesterday. But the place was buzzing, TC. Zach Johnson had the place buzzing early, TC. You would have loved it. Did you hear the crowds yelling? El Capitan! El Capitan! And for him to do it against Rom. Same group as Rom. He was just pummeling him. Rom ended up

Playing okay. But yeah, ZJ just, I didn't, you know, that was, I think at one point I was like, all right, if Zach Johnson, you shot what, 66? If he shot 64 today, I was gonna be like, hey, we need to pause this thing. Like the conditions aren't right. This is not becoming of a major right now. If Zach Johnson's going out and taking this place to its knees, you know, someone with the hair plugs and he's clearly dying his hair now, it's, it's bad.

Scoring average. I mean, I kind of thought that earlier there was a lot of red on the board early, but scoring average was 72.3 today in round three. And it was 72.6 in round two and 73.5 in round one. But obviously there's the cutnessers and the, you know, kind of the past champs to play in those first two rounds. So.

I don't know. It didn't look that hard, but obviously the course is playing hard enough that only two guys shot better than three under par today, and one of them, Zach Johnson. That was so, so random. Yeah, it felt like a lot of guys ran out of steam, especially at 15. I mean, I know you guys probably already talked about it, but it was so scummy. Scotty just piping one into that grandstand. I think he was over to the left. It just...

I don't know. I didn't like it. And then he gets a birdie out of it. It's like, man, that, that feels like a cheat code. If you're behind the trees, just like hit it. You just aim. 15. Okay. So he, Scotty and Rory and the six groups that I watched come through were the only two and Bryson Bryson went for it too. Those are the only three to go for it. And, and yeah, Scotty sent it like into the, like the third row of the, of the grandstand.

which was good theater. But then everybody in the grand says, is that a free drop? I'm like, yeah, it is. And you know what? It's unbecoming. It's scummy. TIO has no place at a prestigious tournament. Yeah, Augusta should fix that themselves. Guys, I have a take on 15. I think they should pull that last tree down. Just open it all the way up. It looks awesome. I mean, that graphic that Cody pulled up earlier of –

you know, comparing Tiger's shot in 15 to Rory's today, it looks just so stunning with that whole vista opened up. And I think you just lean into it. All the tree loss, I think, is great, honestly. I mean, you know, I tweeted that out earlier, but just like the different look on the towel, how different the tee shot on 10 looks just compared to last year is kind of mind-boggling. Like, it took like a couple trips to, you know...

To see that whole in person and be like, man, is this – I got to go back and look this up. What did this actually look like? Holy shit. I did notice every time they had like a drone shot or a jib shot that was like getting ready to show a little bit of Augusta Country Club, it panned down immediately. Like as soon as there was a hint of a sight light of Augusta Country Club, the camera like immediately switched off of that, which I'm sure – I could probably guess why that is. Yeah.

All right, some more questions. At all square halved, has this been the best opening 54 holes at the Masters to date?

uh what would what would the other nominees be i mean it kind of be like speed running away with it like historical stuff like that you know where you're like man is this guy gonna break tiger's record like he's so young i mean that that's i mean tiger 97 is pretty tough to beat too yeah yeah but i'm talking about like my life kind of like i was gonna say as an adult i wouldn't feel qualified to speak on anything prior to us covering golf honestly because we remember a lot of we we

We remember a lot of the final rounds a lot, but it has felt like an action-packed first 54 holes. I don't know. I also think back to 2013 with Tiger when he hit the pin. When he was in the lead on Friday, he hit the pin on 15. That ended up being an Adam Scott win, and that was a really very, very busy and eventful first 54 holes. Well, I can't tell you how nice of a day it was, too. I mean, the energy...

Out there was awesome. The mega light, it was like, cool. It didn't really get above 70 degrees and these, it was cloudy. So, you know, nobody's baking in the sun. And then it was like perfect timing. The mega light would just come out. Like when Bryson was putting for birdie on 15, it's like, just here comes this like just golden hour. It was like, Oh my God, this is incredible. Rory's approaching the 17, same thing.

and I'm sure that showed through on TV, but just being there, it felt like you were truly in a painting when some of this stuff is going on. And, and again, that just, those two greens together when you're sitting up and looking down on 15 and 16, it's like,

I mean, it's really, really cool. Really cool. I know I'm not breaking any new ground here, but I just wanted to fire that takeoff for you. It's almost like how I'm kind of feeling about it as well, Neil, having been there for two straight years. If you'd asked me 10 years ago, I'd have said, oh, the Masters is like a 10 out of 10 tournament. You can't get any better. And then a decade later, I'm like,

All right. Yeah. I kind of need a new scale. Like, cause when I thought it was this, like it's even better at a level of 10 out of 10 in terms of in the leaderboard, this is producing the action, like the actual shot value that we see just consistently flow through this golf course, conditioning of the greens that they've got it in. The fact that we have width and we don't get like any rough, any shots out of any thick rough, every shot is from a good lie at Augusta national. And there's two guys that not according to speed.

Oh, yeah. Spieth had some organic matter. So frustrating. Called out that he got multiple mud balls today and that you're not allowed to talk about mud balls, which is kind of sick.

As he's a gajillion off the lead, but dude, it really is insane. And with less guys on the course today, I was, I don't know, basically until Rory hit that shot into 15, I was kind of questioning my strategy. I was like, God, you know, cause you have to kind of pick, you have to make an investment. You're like, all right, what shot do I want to see? Cause I stopped by aiming corner. I was like, I don't know. I'm not, I'm not really feeling it here.

I was like, I really want to go sit in that grandstand on 15. And for about 45 minutes, I thought I picked the wrong spot. But your patience is rewarded. It probably isn't rewarded every time, but I felt really lucky that I got to see that shot in person. Like, I'm never going to forget that. And I picked the right spot. But it very easily could have been, oh, you know, he eagled 13 and I missed the shot in there, you know?

You know, so you almost you have to. Yeah, you got it. Like you got to make an investment. You got to have a plan. And I'm glad mine worked out today. Getting word that the big golfer, the big hitter is currently at the range at Augusta with five bags of balls. I love that. That's awesome. It did seem like Bryce's big putt on 18.

I don't know if you were around 18 when this happened, Neil, but he was pretty subdued all day. He made the putt on 16 and kind of looked to the hill. Didn't really pump him up, but just kind of stared at the crowd. No, no, he pumped him up after he hit the tee shot into 16. Hats off. I mean, just matador, like waving it around, getting the people in the grandstands by the tee on 16 all jacked up. I was looking down on that. Did somebody say something to him? The guy left at 16? Or was he just...

channeling their energy. I think he was just getting them riled up when he made the putt. I mean, yeah, after he, I did not see him make the putt on 18. I saw that from the press center, but yeah,

But it was a great move from there. He just goes and high-fives everybody. Then it's like, all right, now the crowd is rooting for Bryson to make a comeback tomorrow. That's kind of what it felt like. I'm going to get the crowd on my side. Are people pulling for – at Augusta, like Pinehurst, more people were pulling for Bryson.

Okay. I have a couple. What's it going to be? So Rory, I mean, it's all about like Rory's definitely has a lot of juice. I mean, he's walking off 18. The Rory chants are echoing, you know, like just down into the gullies. It's unbelievable. But then I'm sitting, this kid and his dad were sitting in front of me.

And as Bryson's doing the hat wave thing, this kid gets all jacked up. He's probably, I don't know. He might've been like college age. He's like, see, that's it, man. He's so good for golf. I love you, Bryson. I love you. So like there, you know, there's a lot of, I mean, there's a good amount of love for Bryson out there too, but it feels like he is playing the hits, but it feels like there's a lot of, uh,

authentic juice for me. I would love to be here to see Rory get this done. You know, everybody, I think everybody knows how special of a moment that is. It feels like,

I don't know. I can't think of a bigger one than that. I mean, Bryson running them down would be great theater. Like I'm, I'm fat. I said it last night. I am just happy. I'm happy that Rory doesn't have a big lead or somebody else. I want, I wanted the clash of Titans. This is what I want. I'm feeling something either way. And I'm, I like come what may tomorrow, man. I just like the last two days have been the best golf I've ever seen. It's awesome.

Augusta's so, there's so many times I've looked up and be like, ah, Ludwig's out of it. Nope, now he's back in it. Ah, Ludwig's out of it. Nope, he's back in it. Like, ah, Jason Day, he can't do it. Ah, now he's back in it. This golf course is so hard to run away and hide. Like, almost nobody runs away and hides. I know we haven't had, like, a suspenseful final round. It's just all these little, like, heat check things.

Checkpoints throughout. Well, it's like, think about 15. When you need a birdie, you can't wait to get to 15. You're like, hell yeah, that's my birdie hole. And when you need a par, you get to 15, you're kind of like...

man i gotta either gotta hit the second shot you know on the green or i gotta hit the downhill wedge and and hold the green i could really fuck that up really quickly and there's all the shots look possible to make birdie and then when you need par all of a sudden they're like there's there's sphincter tightening uh kind of shots but um so a lot a lot of good wedges into that hole but nobody made that putt i honestly i don't think anybody that laid up uh

made birdie. And they were, you know, a lot of 15 footers kind of from back left and back right of that pin location. And,

So, yeah, it's a fascinating hole, especially from that angle to watch it from the left side like that. You can kind of see how skinny the green is. It was really cool. It's cool, too. You can see, like, from the moment they hit the ball almost, even before it apexes, you get a way better idea of the depth of the shot. You can almost be like, oh, got to go, got to go, got to go, or sit, sit. I never really fully appreciated until I looked at it on that hole of, like, how fast you can see, like, what good distance control is.

And TC, I did want to call this out to you. I hear, I think I agree with you in theory on like, man, they should change 16. But just with the skipping stuff and like the, they, they just, I mean, that is, there are so many patrons that love that hole and love the chance at a hole in one. They're just never going to, they're never going to change it, brother. I'm sorry. Big top circus right now compared to the.

I like the new green. I think the new green is better than the one prior. I like that slope just a little bit. I just feel like the green left of a creek on that just dripping off of a hillside into a creek would be epic. Neil, I don't think – listening to the podcast last night, I listened to it this afternoon.

We're not disagreeing. You've been like, you know, some of your nicknames, I think they stink. Aquaman, Lee Westwood, all that stuff. I thought that was disrespectful. Leo. That's what's good stuff. You know, I was talking about, I can't even take credit. Somebody else, somebody else, 36 hole glazing. You were saying it last night. It was, it was a little Tommy. Every chance you get, I'm not glazing. You're the glaze. All the,

You're fucking Krispy Kreme, brother. Why does everybody keep bringing up Tommy? I didn't pick Tommy this week. Krispy Carter. And all these people are like, oh, you flew over to the British Open. Yeah, because I wanted to support him. I didn't say that. You're a Thursday Glazer. At the halfway point with our guy that close to the top of the leaderboard, of course we're going to have the blood money. But Randy said last night, he was like, hey, I feel like this is a 36-hole trophy ceremony. And you guys are...

You know what? That is totally unfair. I did not read with him. I didn't know. I did not. I didn't agree with him. I said,

I am legitimately excited. My favorite player is two shots up, and he played awesome yesterday and played awesome today. I wouldn't say that's glazing. Like I said, this is not over by any stretch. I said last night, I don't want him to run away with it. I want him to slay the dragon. I want Bryson. Final pairing. Let's go. Rematch, baby. I don't want it to be an easy walk. It's going to be that much sweeter when he does it. All I'm saying is –

I've gotten a lot of vitriol from people. A lot of people bringing up priors on me with Tommy. Hey, that's your cross the bear, brother. That's not my fault. I'm not rooting against Rory. I just want to see great golf. Nobody ever said you're acting like I've been coming at you. No, I never said. I don't think I mentioned your name last night. You guys also ran a celebratory party on Thursday and danced on Rory's grave. Celebratory party? We can re-litigate that if

T.C., if you want to come to the block party and have a hot dog tomorrow, you're welcome to stop by. You can come over. You can have a neuter and a hot dog, you know, and just hang, man. No one's throwing litter in your yard. You're welcome to come over.

All right, if I'm pulling up the sheet here, if I'm going to my odds gods, you know, my North Star, my Bible, they got Rory at a 66% chance to win for tomorrow. Does that feel fair? I think that's very fair. That's, yes. Two out of three? Yeah. Bryson at 22.5%. With Bryson with five bags of balls on the range right now? Yeah, I'll take two out of three. What do you think it would be if they were even going into tomorrow?

What do you think it would be? How much of that 66% you think is the two-shot lead? That's a great question, TC.

I would say it'd be like 55, 45 Rory probably in their model. I would think. Yeah. Just based on like, I don't know his form, his season. Like, I don't know. It doesn't feel like you got quite as much of a view into how Bryson's been playing. I'll say this, his performance alone today, Rory gained 47% win probability with his round today. Bryson gained 6%. Uh,

With his 69, Rory's 66 gained 43%. What did Team Rose do to his win probability? Team Rose, it fell 11%. He was only around 11.3% to start the day. And his plus three round dropped him down that far. I feel bad for the guy. I had some allergies going. I had the sunglasses on all day. And I think the pollen, I mean, Neil, how's the pollen up there?

I haven't had any issues, but that's never been something that I've struggled with, TC. I feel for you, brother. All of our crosses together. So, sorry, was Rose struggling with the pollen? Well, I know Rose has had allergy issues in the past. That's part of the reason. That's why he wears the big shades. That's where the brain freeze comes from? I think that's a separate issue. That's the putt on the ninth that does that. Oh! And the drizzle. That's right. Then when Fuji lets his blood sugar get too high. Of course.

Well, let's get to, let's look at some odds, uh, ahead of tomorrow. Odds are of course, courtesy. The odds are all over. They're all over the place on, on our beloved FanDuel sports book. And they're subject to change, right? They are. And that's the official sports book of no laying up. Uh, we have all of our specials are live, uh, on FanDuel.com under the header, no laying up specials, or you can visit this, uh,

a link that we can put in the show notes as well. But what are we seeing up here on the screen? My screen is not. I'm seeing a two-horse race, Sully. That's what I see. It's a two-man tournament. Well, yeah, Bryson just moved down to plus 260. He was just at plus 240 a couple of minutes ago. Ludvig was at plus 4,000 about 10 minutes ago. He's now at plus 3,500. So there's some money coming in on Ludvig.

Rory's minus 200. I mean, to bet 200 to win 100 for Rory to win, that's spot on with the odds on Data Golf right there. Where would your pick be going if you're looking at odds right now? I'll free anybody of any burden of any picks going into the week to say if you're looking at this right now and you had to bet $100 on anyone, where would your money go? It's...

maybe on Ludwig, honestly, like just, just, you know, throw a dice roll for five bucks on Ludwig at 35 to one. And he gets crazy hot on the front nine. And those two guys kind of wear each other out. Uh,

Talk me out of going with P at 8,000 to one, only six back, only two back of third place in case Bryce and Rory both have a bad day tomorrow. I don't know. Part of my plan today, I didn't want to, I don't know, pass out on the front nine following Rory. So I went out with Lee Westwood and Xander and then right from then with Pete. Stop.

Was P and, and I, I had this great, you have to make an investment out there. Like, okay, here's my plan. I felt like one of those four was gonna, you know, pop off and they were all just kind of stuck in neutral on the front nine. It was kind of, I was like, dang, I'm not getting much of anything out here, but,

He he's got the best hands in the world. I mean, I miss P honestly, like somebody, he hit this wedge and he's greasy, man. Oh, greasy TC. And like, he just, he just flips his hands on everything. And I, he's fun to watch play golf. He's got that stupid, like he's always got a bracelet or like a necklace on. Like he's just kind of pizza flare on bad shirt, you know, like he, you know, he and Kessler, they're just kind of like,

a gummy greasy team. I don't know. I miss him. I miss P period. So, uh, and then Tommy TC, he can't putt. I mean, I'm sorry, man. He made a one putt on hand, but he just, he's not putting well this week. You know, that's, it's kind of the way that stats are bearing that out. You know, I took some notes and some people gave me, you know, they saw me out there. They're like, Oh, you followed, you followed Tommy. I was like, no, I'm following Lee Westwood, uh, giving some notes for TC. Uh,

No, Tommy's real issue today. I mean, he was minus two in strokes game putting, but he hit his irons like a dog today. He hit some great iron shots and some great tee shots. His iron into six was one of the best shots I saw all day onto the back ledge. A dog, dog, bad dog. I'm getting word that this is our Fandle segment. Thank you, guys. Sorry. All right. All right. Well, he just brought that up. So anyway, if you were asking me, Sully, I...

Honestly, I'm going to say Rory, but Bryson's a pretty good value two back. Like you said, things can change quickly out there, plus 260. If you're going down the board, I just don't think anybody else is winning this thing between those two. I think the real action is on the top five finishes right now of who's going to jump into the top five. My Scandinavian...

Supernova parlay, top five parlay between Hovland and Ludwig. Still in play. It was a little disappointing. Hovland's just had kind of a weird week. He's gotten just boned by some foliage.

Yesterday and today. Yeah, they don't put the foliage in the middle of fairway, TC. You said that earlier, and I don't know if he's getting boned by the foliage as much as he is boning himself on this. You can check out all the action on the FanDuel Sportsbook app. Odds, of course, are subject to change, and we'll be following a lot of that action closely tomorrow as well. There's some good group betting tomorrow, too.

as well like yeah disappointed yeah any other uh and who's who's the biggest disappointment of the day i guess if we're going uh uh going down the leaderboard who frustrated you or disappointed you the most today uh i would say zach johnson would be the biggest disappointment of the day uh just you know seeing his name up there no i think uh i thought morikawa could have

Kind of inserted himself into the mix a little bit today and ended up shooting even par. Just didn't, you know, birdied the first hole and then didn't really get off the bus after that. Yeah, he left the chip. He just got, he had bad energy on the front nine. He let a chip come back to his feet on three runs.

Ended up saving a par there with a really nice second chip. He shot it into the hill and it kicked up to about four feet. But he said, actually, he's walking down 9 Fairway. And he said, talk to me, JJ. He was asking his caddy to gas him up a little bit. He just didn't seem like he was in a great headspace. I mean, Sully, I think it's probably Scotty. Just kind of stuck in neutral today. Even par, he's five under. Let's say he goes out and shoots...

68 or 69 and he's you know he's three back like that would be a thrice in two back scotty three back i think that's that's probably the guy you're looking at i thought day was gonna kick it into high gear he's played a pretty clean tournament so far and um you know bogey on 16 kind of hurt i think i think i thought he was gonna finish it at

seven or eight instead of five um and yeah i mean to me like ludwig too like you know i know he made five birdies today but just not a like i think he missed long like five out of eight holes in a row it's crazy it was it was kind of an over club special for him today and putted his ass off birdied 14 15 16 to kind of claw his way back into it but

Would have loved to have seen, like, he's had his C game this week, C-plus game, I would say. And, you know, good to see the putter heating up there. Yeah, it, I mean, Tyrell Hatton vacated the premises pretty darn hard. He shot three over par to fall back to T-17. Didn't hate seeing that, if I'm being honest. Awesome chip in on 15, though. Correct. Hatton from...

um worth noting i thought yeah randy had a shitty drive by on matt mccarty last night and what did he say he's just like yeah like i think he's gonna put on the broadcast camo i believe it was what he said i hope he doesn't put on the broadcast camo and and also wasn't he exactly spot on no he wasn't though because like he shot he was he barred his first 12 holes

birdie 13 he was one under through 15 and like right in the mix and then he and then he hit a horrible shot no he hit a horrible shot into 16 that was the he did and then he actually got up and down for bogey from from the drop spot but so like it wasn't he was in the mix like randy said earlier he was irrelevant today he wasn't irrelevant he was at like minus six for a

You know, and just like I'm so impressed with him. He's a fucking dog, man. He's somebody to root for tomorrow to get a top 12 finish to get an invite back here for next year. A lot of the guys up towards the top of the leaderboard are pretty safe to be invited back. I would say Nico Echevarria is probably in that camp as well of

you know, secure that top 12 and no matter what your world ranking ends up the rest of the year, you get to come back to the Masters. Sanjay looked like he was going to make a little run too. He was kind of in the mix and fell back to the

the team can we go down the leaderboard i didn't throw i would say sungjae's never a threat to make a to make a run yeah the leaderboard i'm sorry i we've learned that twice no no i didn't even remotely fall for that today tc and shame on you if you did i'll say just as far as disappointments go i think for me it's it's rose so you called it out last night the putter was doing a lot of heavy lifting the first two days it seems like that's so bad with them again i didn't see any of it but uh

And then I think, but I think he and Jason day for me, I kind of wanted a veteran, a veteran in the mix. Somebody who's like, like that storyline, maybe, you know, I'm glad we have Bryson and Rory in the final group. You know, I'm watching the scoreboard all day. Just hoping that Corey Connors just, just, I don't want you to like,

get completely out of there, but I just don't really need Corey Connors in the final group. No offense to anyone. No offense to anyone north of the border. I just kind of wanted it to be Rory and Bryson, and that's what we got. I would have loved to see Day and or Rose a little bit closer to the action going into Sunday. Yeah, Corey Connors and Lowry just felt like they were hoovering up a little bit too much airtime today.

Connors was in it. You know those putts are going to stop dropping. Those 12-15 footers. And they did. And they did.

um a note just so far this week Roy McIlroy is leading the field in strokes game approach this was the baby probably the biggest question mark coming in uh with the different mix of shots that are required here I'd say the shots he's had in the 13 and 15 the last two days have done a lot of the heavy lifting on that number but he is that has been the difference in the tournament so far as how he played the back nine par three par fives uh each of the last two days he's

by my quick count, played them six under with the two Eagles and two birdies, I believe. So is there a way to like to isolate that on par fours? I could, I didn't, it would, it would take some digging for me, but even like just the, the shot that he hit into three today shot, he hit into three today. It only gained, I mean, I guess that was considered an around the green shot. Probably that shot was filthy. Yeah.

I mean, just really, really proper shot into the grain. Actually, Willie Shulman, our friend in Sweden, texted me about that. He was like, like the average player doesn't understand like how insane that shot was. Just how good that was. Just how he gets it to take the big stop and then not backspin and not like release, but just like actually stop on a dime. It's fantastic. So.

uh do you have any other downloads we've we've named pretty much everyone here at tc near the top anybody else you need to need to call let's see here i would say max i mean we we breezed past a little bit honestly before we get to max xander i think xander's showing something this is a really gritty like where did he question from he's p10 right now he's uh he shot 70 today really good round and and he's kind of like you can tell he's starting to pick up a little bit

a little bit of steam and I don't know, it's just been an impressive going without him necessarily feeling it coming in. And so I think even if, you know, like, like I'm not worried about Xander after this tournament. I know we talked about that prior to the tournament of like, I think he's right on schedule and he should be in a really good spot. Come, come quail hollow. And yeah, solid. Your point on, on, on Max, like good shit, you know, awesome. T14 and, and,

Go get you one tomorrow. And, man, that's some positive vibes going into, you know, kind of the meat of major season here in June. Yeah, we've been pretty steadfast in saying it's not over for our guy. He's going to figure it out, give him a little bit of time. He has a lot of belief. He's been through a lot worse than how he's played recently, and this was easily his best round.

of the year to shoot 69 here today and gain a shitload of field. Hope he, hope he gets in the top 10. I'll be some, I'll be, I know we'll, we'd call that backdoor yellow and anybody that wasn't our friend, but that's some, like that's some hard earned yellow. I would say he's digging that yellow out of the dirt. If he, if,

If he's not back door, it's like he's like digging a hole into the basement and then he's like tunneling in. It's kind of like the rat right now. Yeah, it's sick. I respect the hell out of it. Davis Thompson T-17. Really good debut here. Hogecoin.

Well, 70 today. He was playing with Max. They were vibing. I followed him up 17 into 18 T. They were like joking around on the green because there's like nobody watching them. You know, all the energy was back with those last two groups. It was kind of – it was interesting to be in parts of the property where like nobody was because like even the players, like they're kind of looking up to see what the Roars are all about. So like there and then when I was with –

zander and tommy on like eight green when rory chipped in like like everybody stopped like i was like well i wonder what that was so it's an interesting vibe i want to shout out the links master jordan spieth for a trophy ball clean card 69 today like the mud balls too not a clean card um what's that not a clean car with all that mud he had all over the place

Max Grazerman playing really well. I'm, you know, continue to be impressed by his game. Rasmus Hoegaard, you guys called him on the, maybe the international unstable compound last night on the show. And he, he kind of bared that out 75 today and he'll probably shoot 68 tomorrow. Probably will. Joaquin, I think Joaquin and Rom are paired together tomorrow. Rom's got to be kicking himself for that first round 75. Yeah.

What else we got? Mav McNeely. He's pretty good showing in his debut. I'm told H-E and... H-E and...

who was he playing with min wu lee we're placing the clock today they were a minute out of position they got placed in the clock today which i'm glad that you know you know what kind of shook me yeah i i uh i happened to uh stephen cox rolled by me in the cart and he stopped and i was like hey how's it going

rules official PGA Tour. Is that great? I'm just going to handle Min Woo's got an issue and he might be a little slow. So it was like I might have seen him right before that all unfolded, which is good stuff. I'm glad they're clamping down because I thought the shit that he pulled in Houston was pretty egregious. What else? Michael Kim, Danny McCarthy, you saw Aaron Rye birdied 13, 14, 15, and 16 today. Didn't have a great day otherwise, but

I think Aaron Rye, you know, you, you kind of wrote him off a little bit prematurely. I think in this, the, the TI 83 graphing calculator, graphing calculators, he's kind of, he's kind of graphing his way around the course.

All I literally said was this is like a tough golf course for someone like pulled a name out of my hat, Aaron Rye to compete on. And if you think this T30 standing after three rounds disproves that in any way, I'm going to just have to disagree with that. I think it is a point more than proven out at this point. But no, I think I think a drive by like that warrants like a miscut or something like that.

This is the easiest cut to make. This is like a signature event-making cut. This is not a hard cut to make. He's in the top third of competitors right now. I award him no points. I award you no points. Tom Kim, I want to congratulate him on playing in under four hours today. TC, can I... I should have been 310, if we're being honest. First thing I did today was go out and follow YTK and Mike.

Mike McDermott, the marker. I just, I think I love, I think the marker and Augusta is really funny. I wanted to see it in person. And Mike McDermott was, was, you know, on the first hole he hit in the bunker and then he splashed it out and Tom Kim was already up by the green and his caddy was raking the bunker.

I could tell he had some nerves, and he wanted to wait for his caddie to come up and give him a yardage. It was probably like 60, 70 yards, and it was so relatable. He kind of got stuck in the middle. He took a couple practice swings, looked back, and was like, I'll wait for him. And then he was like, nah, fuck it. And then he went up and kind of like hit the wedge real quick, and it was like 20 feet. So pretty good shot. He gets up, and he misses the putt, and then he scoops it.

and not hitting cups. No, no. And he, they insisted that cause they don't want like the Jeff Knox beat Rory like that. That was not the, I don't think the club liked that. And so when he scooped it, there was an audible gasp from the, from the,

Like, uh, grandstands on one because, because they're like, Oh my, you know, cause nobody, a lot of people, there was a lot of chatter about, Oh, that's the marker. And Stolle, uh, I wrote this down too. Cause you said yesterday, I don't hear a lot of, um, dumb golf comments out there, you know?

The marker, there were a lot. Like, oh, that's the head pro at Augusta. It's a different guy every year. Oh, that's Jeff Knox. I fought him for three holes, and it was really funny. But I could tell that –

Mike was pushing the pace on, I'm sure somebody said like, Hey, let's, you know, make sure that you're not the reason it's a slow first group. Yeah. Tom can basically had like a, like played a solo three 40 round, which like that should, that like, like he should have been put on the clock for that. Like it's the first, first time he's ever broken four hours in his pro career. And he's essentially playing alone. I can't look it up, but I followed him until 14 and, and, uh,

McDermott hit an awesome, unbelievable driving iron or something into that par three. I'm sure they don't track his score because he's scooping. The first roar I heard, I think he made that birdie putt. Tom Kim hit it to the right side of the green and probably had a 100-foot putt.

So I shot 72 today. Like they were probably playing in the same ballpark. All right. No, it looks like a four. So it looks like Tom Kim's the one that made the putt. So I, I, I, that's a mea culpa for me, but that was the first roar I heard of the day. I just walked away and it was like clearly from the fourth green. So I thought a team Rose and Bryson were going to get put on the clock at one point. They were like a half behind, like pretty early on.

So just a couple other things here. Can't lay T42 at the moment. The blow pig T42 shot 75 today. He's still searching for that elusive second, you know, top 30 in a major. Who else we got? JT 76. Minwoo, the aforementioned Minwoo Lee 77. Hideki hit one of the worst shots I've ever seen a pro hit on 13.

today just just dribbled one into the creek like it was on the ground for probably 140 yards um it was very like i would go go watch that one there um you know and then akshay i know you guys talked about on the pod last night a little bit akshay i thought he missed the cut he didn't miss the cut but just t-52 he's kind of dfl the guys who missed the cut with

Which is a bummer. I like Randy's take. I like watching him hit the ball, and I wish he was in the proceedings. It's a giraffe take from Randy. I liked it. TC, I have to salute you. You officially did it. You made it to the bottom of the leaderboard. You made it to TC. I mean, there's only 53 guys. That was impressive. That was really impressive. Just like making the cut, it's the easiest leaderboard to go down in golf. All right. What's the worst-case scenario for tomorrow, Neil? Yeah, I think...

I think Neil said it last night, Corey Connors. Yeah, I know. That was about to say Rory Bryson get too wrapped up in their match play, and they both make mistakes. Corey Connors comes out of nowhere and shoots a 68 and wins. Is it not Reed, though? No, I think P would be sick. Like I said, I miss P. I miss him. What's the best case scenario tomorrow? Rory.

We're in a playoff. Let's go. Yes. Best place. Best case scenario is a playoff between Rory and Bryson or like one of those two and like Ludwig or someone like somebody just climbs in with a 63 and shoots. It just careers it. That'd be epic.

We got this question from AC Wentz. Are we happy slash satisfied forever if Rory wins this? Feels like every win after this would be all gravy. Are you willing to sell your soul here for one Rory Greenjack? Career Grand Slam. I don't even think you would need to sell your soul because once you've sold your soul, it feels like it just frees them up.

He's got Quill Hollow as the next major after this. He's got Port Rush coming up. I mean, it is all gravy. I'd be worried he'd lose his inspiration. Because we've seen kind of apathetic Rory. If you go back like five years, it was like, yeah, I don't – back when it was like, I don't want to play in the Olympics. Yeah, I don't really care that much. That's not the Rory we're seeing. We're not seeing that guy the last –

I don't know, 12 to 18 months. I think it makes Rory into, Hey, I want to, you know, cause what he and Brooks are tied right now at four. No, Brooks has five. So then, yeah. So like, I, I think, I think this would supercharge Rory's motivation of, Hey, I have three courses coming up through the rest of the year that look awesome for me. Like I think Rory then is thinking like,

Grand slam within the year. Guys, TC, that's what I'm hoping, man. Let's go. You're getting me jacked up, brother. Come to the block party tomorrow. Come on, just swing through just for a minute. I thought I wasn't invited. I thought I wasn't invited. I have been so clear about this. You are invited and Randy's invited.

I don't care what you guys said in the past. You're welcome to come. You're more than welcome to stop by. I haven't said bad things in the past. You have said a lot of bad things. You have said many, many bad things. I just didn't like that he didn't do media on Thursday and then he hops into a shop by shot yesterday. I'm going back years. You've said a lot of nasty stuff. I was right on the old course. You've said nasty stuff, though.

Nasty things. Me, Neil, DJ, and Cody are going to... If this hits tomorrow, we're going to ride this one for a long time of being on the right side of history. A long, long time. As you guys should. If that's something you want to root against, actually, I think that is enough. This is 17, 18 years in a row. Don't bring your dog like last time. Just don't bring the dog, okay? We can't have the dog biting anybody. To answer the question, I think... And I don't want to get ahead of myself. I'm not assuming he's going to win tomorrow. But I don't think...

It is full like anything else's gravy. I do think, and Roy said this on Full Swing, like kind of, oh, shit, like there's somebody in my generation that has more majors than me now. I think he's got to pass Brooks. That's your exact point there, Neil, or TC, whoever said that. I think he's got to get to six and keep, you know, and Brooks stays down for it to feel like you fulfilled all of your promise. But, again, not getting ahead of ourselves there.

I'm a little bit disappointed in Scotty. He clearly hasn't had it this week, but I just like you kind of wonder, all right, if if if Bryson wins tomorrow or Rory wins tomorrow, it feels like this one's knocked more luster off of right off of Scotty's.

kind of, you know, deal going on, like just some of that mystique that he's had going for the last couple of years. And, you know, and he's kind of looking up at a couple other guys instead of, you know, I mean, Scottie's still never won a major outside of Augusta too, right? Yeah, I think it, Bama Bearcat sent a great question. Is this the end of Chef's dominance? And that sounds dramatic, but I kind of want to say it's at least

I don't want to say a pause. I'll say it's a pause in it. Like the dominance is over for now. It might be reassumed at some point, but he is not a dominant golfer right now. Has not been. It's not the end of his success, but it's the end of his dominance. Like he hasn't dominated in a while now. What if we emphasize this last year? Like what if he wasn't making that pasta, man?

He emphasized this at every point we could last year. He's playing like a god, and this is otherworldly, and he sustained it for longer than I even thought he could at the time. A little tweak like Xander's experiencing right now, too, and he's not the same guy. He's back to being kind of a little frustrated Scotty that we saw before he busted out and won a bunch. He looks a little bitchy out there still. It's crazy to see him losing shots off the tee at Augusta.

That's just, that's jarring, right? Yeah. Yeah, it really is. But anything else to hit? Oh, I'm hearing this is, this is from a couple of different sources. It's not confirmed, but it's well-sourced that the green jackets called the, the athletic director at, at a ball. So hard university, Arizona state and said that, uh,

by a stair is not welcome back like this is his last like yesterday was his last master's round but he's been if you he probably missed his opportunity to pee in race creek again though because he said he would do it again so maybe he does it as a patron at some point could potentially race creek actually extends well past augusta like you can go outside the neighborhood and pee in it take a dump in race that's that that's interesting well sourced tc thank you for that

Oh, man. TC, I have one note I wrote down. I saw Trevor Lawrence and Eli Manning had a nice little meeting next to No. 2 Fairway. That's got to make Solly just livid. He hates Trevor Lawrence. I'm worried about Trev.

uh just yeah just a couple of knowers you know mutual respect Society so that was that was fun to see for UTC did you have any T's and D's you know arranged for us or I know we've had a green man I kind of I kind of emptied the I have a ton of notes I'm sorry I'm a little unprepared that's all right well I would say well T I got one uh I saw two red chairs today next to uh three green I got I got kind of a delight out of that I was like how did they get these red chairs in here I thought then is that not allowed

It's only, it's only, I've been looking to see, cause it kind of was one of those like obvious things. I'm like, Oh, all the chairs are green. Like that makes, yeah, obviously everything's green to blend in. And so I've kind of been on the lookout. It doesn't seem like you can,

you know, bring your own chairs. You got to buy the master's green chairs or your chairs have to be green. I saw two red chairs next to three green on the right. So I don't know if they snuck them in or, or what happened there. Yeah. I'm 17 having sex. It was crazy. Um, I, I think I had one thing that was a total delight. It's a very specific scene, uh,

It was – the mega light came out from behind the clouds right as Justin Rose was aim pointing his birdie putt on 15 green. And even his aim point is pompous and, you know, has an air to it. He just, you know, just like – like the way he does his aim point, his pinky like bends. And, I mean, he's just –

I don't know, man. He's just Justin Rose. He's just Rosie. And the way he was being backlit while he was aim pointing. Rosie being Rosie. I was like, man, I need to get like Wabranski or somebody or Bayston to paint this. This is epic, epic stuff. So that thrilled and delighted me, Solly. Well, let's get to, before we get to our final predictions, we're going to end the show with final predictions. I've not heard this, but I had a special task.

for KVV to, I believe this is his impersonation or attempt at, write the script for Jim Nance for opening Sunday. Jim comes on the air, has the big welcome and all this. I challenge KVV to come up with his own version of the intro into one of the most anticipated Masters Sundays of our time. Hello friends and welcome to Sunday at the Masters.

I'm Kevin Van Valkenburgh, and I've been sleeping and eating poorly all week in Augusta, Georgia, a place where legends are made and hearts are broken. And where this week, a young man in an upside down Arizona state hat urinated in Rays Creek without consequences or remorse. I'm just glad my dear friends, Ken Venturi and Dennis Pihowski, were not here to see it.

14 years ago, a precocious 21-year-old from Hollywood, Northern Ireland, was poised to become the sport's shining star. But then heartache and an unexpected detour to the cabin's left of the 10th hole sent him reeling. Will today be a bookend and a story of redemption? Or will yet another year of our 30s end with us crying in our own Pringles can of proverbial despair? What kind of history will be written this afternoon?

Will an Englishman finish the day with dreams of serving a tasty roast at next year's Champions Dinner? Or will it be protein shakes and pizza from the biggest golfer to ever don a green jacket? I've got Sir Chris Solomon alongside me today to help call the action, and the great Todd Schuster out at Amen Corner, offering his unique acerbic brand of commentary. We'll have Neon Neal Schuster out on the 15th hole, mixing up among the patrons as he often does.

And, of course, who can forget about Phil Landis on 16, where the funnel pin will almost certainly bring him thrills and delights for yet another year. Working the ones and twos inside Butler Cabin is our guy Cody McBride, and our entire team has been outfitted with the finest threads by the irreplaceable Casey Landman. Jordan Perez has got you covered on the newsletters, and, of course, Matt Ramer is working his magic on the socials and doing beer runs when the keg runs low at our block park. It's Sunday at Augusta.

I tried. I did my best. Wait, did you call Rory an Englishman? No, an Englishman Justin Rose. I had to write it in the middle of the day. Yeah, with a roast. I threw that in for Patty, so in case he's listening out there. A tasty roast. All right, Kev, let's get your prediction for tomorrow. What happens tomorrow? I think Rory wins by two. I think Bryson kind of...

plays okay and stretches but ultimately like kind of struggles and i think rory um kind of just birdies both of the par fives on the back nine and uh eventually sort of pulls pulls away enough to where you know t shot's a little nervy on 18 but stripes it puts it in the middle of the green and nance has a killer line to uh to send us off thank you we need neil to come back in uh for his final uh prediction as well here if you don't mind tc what's your final prediction for tomorrow my final prediction for tomorrow is that rory gets it done

Thank you, TC. I just, it seems like it's time and he's playing great golf and irons look good. There's some things to clean up from today. Potter looks really good, but I don't, I think that, I think that Ludwig makes a charge tomorrow too. And I think there's some interesting moments six through nine and then, and then Rory gets through eight and kind of, you know, makes it, makes it so that it's, it's maybe a two horse race or three horse race between him, Connors and Bryson.

I'm going to be nervous if Rory doesn't get through three at one under tomorrow. I'm going to be very nervous. I think he's got to get one of two or three at least tomorrow. I'll be very nervous after that. But I think I said Rory at 14 or 15 under when the week started. I'm right there. I think he shoots 69 and gets it done by probably three. I think...

You think Rory wins by three? I think it's time. I think Bryson probably shoots 200 tomorrow. Rory shoots three and gets it done is my final prediction. What's yours, Neal?

I think I really liked KVV's stuff on like Ollie Frazier or Ollie Foreman. Pick your heavyweight prize fight. I think we're going to extra innings. It just feels the last two days make me think we're in for an absolute classic. I think it's Rory over Bryson in the playoff on the 10th hole.

I think we're going to, or is the 10th hole the first playoff hole? Second playoff hole. Second. I think we're going two playoff holes. I think it's an Adam Scott in the dark. Absolute scenes, Solly. Scenes. They might roll the green again and not tell anybody. And that's what I'm rooting for, so that's what I'm predicting. I'm just trying to manifest that. Just give me some bonus golf, baby. I'll be late for the live show again. Ali Frazier 2 was at Madison Square Garden.

Ali Foreman too was the rumble in the jungle. Rumble in the jungle. Yes. Like they may have, they may have lost a lot of the trees in the jungle. So it's a, it's no longer even a country anymore. Only thing I can guarantee is that we will be here tomorrow night to either celebrate or to commiserate, uh,

whatever the final result is. That's the child to our friends at high noon. The party will be raging. We know that as well. And we have no other choice than to send this evening off in style. Like we have all week long. It's been a solid Bryson wins tomorrow.

Like that, that's going to be, that is going to be bleak scenes. It is, but I've made myself emotionally available. That's, that's, that's, I respect that. That's what's happened. I'm proud of you this week. You've been believing in something. I do believe in something and we're going to ride it all the way to the finish block party. Play us out. We'll see you tomorrow. Thanks everyone for tuning in.

I want it.
