Some people overthink real estate investing. What it comes down to and what you’ll learn in this week’s episode is consistent action.

On this week’s episode of the Real Estate Investing School Podcast we bring on River Skinner. River is about 3 years into his real estate investing journey and shares how he got started, what he’s doing now, and what his goals are for the future.

River got started in real estate investing when he bought a primary residence and converted it to a rental property when he moved from Northern Utah to Texas. This was a great way for River to get into a property for low money down and then rent it out for cash flow when he moved.

Now River is focused on growing his portfolio. He’s doing this by focusing on improving his skills in sales to grow his active income. That way he can spend more time buying deals and learning by taking action rather than waiting. Just get started and you’ll learn and get better.

River gives great insights into some of the common myths and objections like you can’t invest in real estate out of state and you have to know everything before you get started. River reminds us not overcomplicate it. What’s the next logical step? Now, do that. Then do it again.

His goal with real estate investing is to have freedom and live a more stress free life. And he is doing that by learning how to make money, keep money, grow money, and give money.
