There won't be a full show today. The show will be back tomorrow, but I want to take a few minutes to react to Donald Trump's speech last night and the incredibly pathetic display put on by his political opponents. I had the honor of attending the speech as a guest of Speaker Mike Johnson, along with Ben Shapiro and Riley Gaines. And I can tell you that the difference in the energy in the room was very palpable. Republicans were excited. They were energized. They were full of patriotic pride.

Democrats, on the other hand, were sullen and joyless and glum and resentful and extremely petty. All told, it made one thing clear. If there was any doubt that the central conflict in this country is not political but spiritual,

than Trump's address to Congress last night settled the issue. We are officially well past the point where Republicans and Democrats disagree on, you know, the best way to run the country for the benefit of the citizens they represent. We're past the point of nuanced political debate, of trying to figure out, you know, the ideal corporate tax rate or the best way to improve the healthcare system or any of the other debates that define previous eras in politics. Instead, America now consists of one party that wants the best for people living in the country and the Democrat party that is willing

in the most public form imaginable to embrace its profound disdain for its country and its people.

The Democrats put on display for the world to see their deep hatred for our military as it catches terrorists who murdered our soldiers, for our space program that aims to ensure the survival of our species, for border patrol agents who get shot at by cartel members, for talented young men who work hard to get admitted to West Point, for women who have suffered brain damage and paralysis at the hands of male athletes, for families that have been torn apart by violent thugs imported from the third world by the Biden administration.

for school teachers who are rescued from Russian prisons, and even for children who are suffering from brain cancer. This is a core distinction between the political parties, a distinction between good governance and demonic influence. That's been obvious for some time now, but it's always operated beneath the surface to some extent. And last night in Washington, the reaction to Trump's address made this distinction just impossible to ignore. Now, from my perspective in the room, the pettiness and just total absurdity of the Democrat Party

was probably even more apparent than it was on television. You know, first of all, Democrats were constantly heckling and interrupting throughout the whole thing. It was basically nonstop. Al Green was escorted out by the sergeant at arms at the beginning, and we all saw that footage, but it did not end there. They kept going with just these nonstop, petulant outbursts the whole time. It was one of the most pathetic displays I've ever seen.

And they occasionally held up these, as you probably saw on TV, these ridiculous looking paddles that said false and Musk steals on them, even though Elon Musk is the richest person in the world, doesn't need to steal anything.

They only clapped one time in the entire speech. There was one moment where they became genuinely excited, and that was when Trump mentioned the endless billions of dollars we've been sending to Ukraine. At that point, Democrats, who had been sitting on their hands the entire time, finally found something to cheer for. And then when Trump mentioned the possibility that the war will continue for another five years, Democrats kept on clapping. They were ecstatic. Watch. The United States has sent hundreds of billions of dollars to support Ukraine.

Ukraine's defense with no security. Do you want to keep it going for another five years? Yeah, yeah, you would say Pocahontas says yes. This was the only moment that gave some life to Democrats. And this was towards the end of the speech. So they spent the first like hour and 20 minutes

sitting there silently applauding for nothing until the word Ukraine was mentioned and now they found something to be happy about. The thought of an endless war with more death and destruction and funding for the defense industry was enough to garner a standing ovation. Elizabeth Warren didn't care how absurd she looked. She just kept laying on the horn while Trump described years of total war in Eastern Europe

She just couldn't get enough of it. This is also how they think in most of Europe, by the way, which is why Zelensky was greeted as a hero in the EU for attacking Trump and J.D. Vance in the Oval Office.

These people want the war to continue by any means necessary, and it's not because they want to stop Russia or punish Putin or anything like that. That's what they'll say in public, but, you know, it's not true. Trump spelled that out last night. He made the point that in Europe, they've spent more money importing Russian energy since the outbreak of the war than they've spent on Ukraine's defense. In other words, these people want an endless war, and to that end, they're more than happy to fund both sides of the war. They'll send military aid to Ukraine and buy Russian gas on the other side.

It's depraved, obviously, and as last night's speech went on, the depravity of the Democrats became more and more apparent. Consider, for example, the moment that Trump honored a young boy who suffers from terminal brain cancer. And Republicans stood and applauded, because of course you do. Democrats sat stone-faced in their seats. Watch. Now, there's no political message that Democrats are objecting to in this clip. Trump didn't make a political statement of any kind.

You will not find a more objectively obvious and uncontroversial reason to stand and applaud in any political speech.

You know, there are a lot of young people being diagnosed with cancer these days, tragically, and this child is one of them. He's beaten the odds. He's still alive. If you value life, if you care about children, if you value happiness and success, I mean, if these are the things that you favor, then this is something to celebrate. But Democrats don't value any of those things. After all, they support the murder of children even after they're born in so-called failed abortions.

They've tried to claim that a women's rights position is to murder children. But of course, it's the opposite of that. It's anti-human. These people despise children in particular because they despise humanity. So naturally, they remain silent when confronted with a pediatric cancer patient. In fact, they reacted with scorn. Here, for example, is how Debbie Dingle responded at this particular moment in the speech.

Now, in case you can't see the video, she's plugging her ears and rolling her eyes. Okay, that is her reaction to seeing a pediatric cancer patient. The only possible way that someone can have this reaction is if they are just truly and profoundly disturbed. But that's now the norm of the Democrat Party. And if you think I'm being too harsh, take a look at this segment that aired on MSNBC right after Trump's speech concluded. And watch as the anchor...

immediately connects this pediatric cancer patient with January 6th and then openly talks about the possibility that he'll commit suicide in the future. I think this was a lesson in finding one thing that you let yourself feel. And I let myself feel joy about DJ. And I hope he's alive for another, you know, 95 years. And I hope he lives an awesome,

The life he wants to live. He wants to be a cop. He knows what he wants to do. And maybe when you have childhood cancer, that crystallizes for you. And I hope he has a long life as a law enforcement officer. But I hope he never has to defend the United States Capitol against Donald Trump's supporters. And if he does, I hope he isn't one of the six who loses his life to suicide. And I hope he isn't one who has to testify against the people who carried out acts of seditious conspiracy and then live to see Donald Trump pardon those people.

This is a woman who is paid to deliver political commentary. She's supposedly paid to give analysis that might not occur to the everyday listener or provide some enlightenment or insight beyond what you'd get from talking to the local paranoid schizophrenic at the bar. But she's not capable of that. Her obsession with January 6th is just too strong. Her hatred for young children, including young cancer patients, is also apparently overwhelming.

This is what polished professional commentary looks like at this moment coming from the left. They just, they can't help themselves.

For her part, Rachel Maddow delivered a similar commentary. She said that it was disgusting that Trump had chosen to highlight this speech, this child in his speech, as a way of bringing attention to the increase in cancer rates among young children. She also claimed that Trump was somehow taking credit for the fact that the child is still alive, which is something that didn't happen. You know, in Rachel Maddow's fevered brain, if you congratulate someone on beating cancer, you're somehow claiming to have cured it.

But it's not just young cancer survivors that these people can't tolerate. Take a look at this moment from when Trump announced the capture and extradition of an ISIS terrorist who was responsible for killing American service members at Abbey Gate in Afghanistan during Biden's catastrophically incompetent withdrawal.

This was breaking news. Democrats were not aware of it beforehand. They had no idea this ISIS terrorist had been apprehended. Nobody did. So you'd think if they cared about the lives of our soldiers that Democrats would kind of instinctively applaud this news. Instead, once again, they looked angry and bored. Is once again standing strong against the forces of radical Islamic terrorism.

Three and a half years ago, ISIS terrorists killed 13 American service members and countless others in the Abbey Gate bombing during the disastrous and incompetent withdrawal from Afghanistan. Not that they were withdrawing. It was the way they withdrew. Perhaps the most embarrassing moment in the history of our country. Tonight, I am pleased to announce that we have just apprehended the

top terrorist responsible for that atrocity. And he is right now on his way here to face the swift sword of American justice. There was another moment like this when Trump introduced a woman who had been badly injured by a trans-identifying man during a high school volleyball match. In fact, she was paralyzed and suffered brain damage. The TV cameras didn't fully capture it. But once again, Democrats had no reaction to this story.

Years ago, Peyton McNabb was an all-star high school athlete, one of the best, preparing for a future in college sports. But when her girls' volleyball match was invaded by a male, he smashed the ball so hard in Peyton's face, causing traumatic brain injury, partially paralyzing her right side and ending her athletic career. It was a shot like she's never seen before. She's never seen anything like it.

Peyton is here tonight in the gallery and Peyton from now on schools will kick the men off the girls team or they will lose all federal funding.

It was just the other day that every single Democrat in the Senate voted against a ban on men playing women's sports. In the House, only two Democrats voted in favor of the ban. This is a party that now stands in total opposition to the vast majority of Americans on this issue. On an 80-20 issue, they are on the 20 side. They see a woman who was paralyzed and brain damaged by a man playing volleyball, and they don't feel an ounce of regret or shame or sympathy.

Well, well, I'll correct that. They feel sympathy with the guy who paralyzed her. It's not an exaggeration to say that the whole speech went on like this. At one point, Democrats refused to stand when Trump announced a new wildlife refuge, which was named for a 12-year-old girl in Texas who was sexually abused and murdered by two illegal aliens. They just couldn't bring themselves to care about the girl, just like they didn't care about the family of Lake and Riley, who was also in attendance.

If Democrats were in power, they'd still be apologizing to Lake and Riley's killer for Biden slipping up and calling him an illegal.

And last night, everyone in America was reminded of that fact. From one minute to the next on every single major issue, Democrats proved that they're incapable of demonstrating an ounce of human empathy or common sense, much less engaging in any kind of reasonable political debate. Instead, they demonstrated that they're motivated by a hatred so profound and so all-encompassing that to all reasonable people, it looks alien and demonic.

Again, keep in mind, however poorly they came across on TV, it was even worse in the room. Because even when the Democrats weren't interrupting and heckling, which they did routinely throughout the entire speech, they were sitting there pouting, morose, gloomy. Many of the Democratic lawmakers spent the entire address playing on their phones like bored, impolite children.

Many of them left in the middle of the speech or periodically pulled stunts that would get them kicked out. Various Democrats stood with their backs to Trump at different points until they had to be escorted out.

And then as soon as the speech was over, they all got up in unison and sprinted out of the room. What, what, what few of them were left in the room by the time it was over, sprinted out. I guess they didn't, you know, they wanted the room to be half empty as Trump left. All of this, along with their dumb little paddles, made for one of the pettiest, most absurd and humiliating displays I've ever seen. It was a disastrous night for the Democrats, all told. And

This is not a particularly controversial point. Even CNN's left-wing commentators and analysts were forced to admit after the speech that Democrats came across horribly. Watch. It's one thing to mine our differences. It's another thing to try and heal our differences. And that is, you know, that that's the difference between real leadership and

political expedience. Would it have been healing to stand for Mark Fogle? Might have been. No, I agree. You know, you are absolutely right. I will do what you will not. I will say I thought Democrats, I thought that was just I think there were times when they should have risen. I think what Al Green did was despicable.

- What was your reaction to Trump's speech? 44% of speech watchers in our Instant Poll tonight say they had a very positive reaction to Trump's speech. 25% somewhat positive, 31% negative.

These are the kinds of numbers that ordinarily you only see after a State of the Union that follows some kind of national disaster that unifies the country. But in this case, Trump's address to Congress has managed to bridge the gap between Democrats and Republicans. That's because at the moment, Democrats are clearly represented in Washington by politicians who are not simply incompetent, but profoundly evil.

I mean, there's no denying that anymore, regardless of where you stand on the political spectrum. One side is pro-family, pro-rule of law, pro-America. The other side looks at terminally ill children with disgust and revels in the prospect of endless warfare. As recently as a few years ago, Democrats pretended to be capable of something more, of something at least resembling patriotism. Here, for example, is footage from Trump's State of the Union address in 2019. USA! USA! USA!

That would mark the last moment of some semblance of humanity from Democrats at these speeches. The next year, Trump invited a baby who was born at 21 weeks and six days to his address. And Democrats, who of course support the murder of children at 21 weeks and older, refused to celebrate the child's survival.

And now, five years later, Democrats are refusing to celebrate the military. They're refusing to celebrate cancer survivors or recognize the heroism of law enforcement officers. They're refusing to celebrate anything that makes this country great. What this means is that we're now entering a historic political environment. The usual political divisions between Democrats and Republicans have been superseded by a divide much deeper and more vast and more profound.

The only question now is whether you support this country or not, whether you want America to succeed, whether you value human life and family, and whether you care at all about your own nation and its people. Last night, even though Democrats were not delivering the address before Congress, they gave us the answer to those questions loud and clear. And we all heard. And we won't forget.
