Hello and welcome to Meditation Monday. I'm coming at you a little later than I usually do on Mondays and it's going to make sense as soon as you do this meditation with me because it is all about how to come back to center when you are out of your routine. And today I'm out of my routine. So
I hope you enjoy today's meditation. And remember, you can always join me live on our Women's Meditation Network Facebook page. The link is in the show notes here every Monday at 1130 a.m. Eastern. I am wishing you the most amazing week, whether you are in your routine and feeling good or feeling a little joggled because you're out of your routine. No matter what, remember, peace is just a breath away.
Namaste. Hello everyone. Happy Meditation Monday. I'm so glad you're here with me. As you come on, let me know where you are watching from. I would love to know. And yeah, today you're coming on this meditation journey with me as I sit kind of in a hidden place. I'm hiding from all of the kids.
I'm hiding from the kids here hoping that we don't get interrupted. My kids are on spring break this week, which is awesome. And we have friends in town. So, you know, these are friends that, you know, we were pregnant together. So like our kids have grown up together. It's really fun. We have such a blast together.
And it comes with its own unique challenges. So today's meditation is really going to focus on helping you anchor back into yourself when you're out of your routine. I'm feeling this this week. I'm feeling this especially today. And so there's a couple things I wanted to say about it. Number one is that if you are out of your routine, it's okay. And
And if you feel unraveled and a little rattled, it's okay too. What I want and what I hope for you by bringing you this meditation is that you have a way to come back into center by remembering that you are your center. So I'll give you a little story as to why this is pertinent. So as I said, it's spring break and...
Right now it's Monday, right? So, you know, everyone came over the weekend, not a big deal 'cause it felt like the weekend. We were in weekend routine.
This morning I got up super early so I could have a couple of hours by myself to get some work done and to write and that felt really, really good. And so it was great. Kids woke up and then I kind of went immediately into non-work, homey tasks, right? And I just, I didn't get very far in these things. I'm building a chicken coop right now really is the specific point.
I didn't get very far in the building of the chicken coop before I had to like get interrupted to go do X, Y, or Z. And what happened very quickly was that I immediately like
just got so pissy. I got so pissy because I couldn't do what I wanted. And now in my head were all of these like, Oh, I still need to do work. Oh, I didn't get enough. I didn't get enough things done. And, um, you know, like, and now I don't feel like I have my normal Monday to do what I normally would do. Right. So, um,
what happened was is that I ended up, I was just sort of like holding in all of this energy and I ended up sort of like going off on my husband a little bit. And I, you know, it wasn't bad, but it was just like this, like, like, I, you know, I'm angry about X, Y, or Z. And I noticed that
that that energy completely transferred onto him. Like he immediately got like all flustered and he got really upset. I ended up leaving and going on a drive and just calming myself down, which is one thing I love doing by the way. So I came back and realized two things. Number one, whatever energy we are in transfers. So let's be aware of that and let's take responsibility for that.
And how can I bring myself back to center? What are some really good practices to bring ourselves back to center? So in the comments, I would love to know what you do to bring yourself back to center. And really the bigger knowing is that we are centered.
We are center. Our feeling of disconnect, our feeling of like feeling unraveled, it's just a feeling. It's not the truth. The truth is that we are home. We are centered. So all we have to do is remember that, which is what we're going to do in today's meditation. Okay? So I see you guys all coming on. I'm so grateful that you're here. If you're in a place where you can, I want you to go ahead and close your eyes and let yourself settle into your body.
And let's just take a moment to do a little bit of a physical inventory that will let us calm our body down and bring our attention away from all those thoughts. See if you can feel a nice warm energy on the crown of your head. And then feel your entire face, your eyes, your cheeks soften. Feel that warm energy travel down your throat, spreading into your shoulders and your neck.
traveling all the way down each arm, softening you and relaxing you. As you breathe softly and slowly, imagine that nice warm energy humming in your chest, descending down into your belly.
Feeling it run all the way down your back from the top of your neck all the way down your spine until it reaches your lower back and your hips. Now feel that warm energy travel down your right leg into your toes and now your left leg into your toes. Now take a big deep breath filling yourself up.
gathering anything that's here. And on your exhale, imagine it all releasing from your body and dissipating into the air around you. Now just settle into a nice, easy rhythm of breathing here. In and out. In and out. Noticing your body feeling a little softer.
a little more relaxed and noticing your mind just a little clearer. Now place your hand in the area just between your chest and your belly button and on your next breath I want you to take a deep breath in and feel that part of your body expand letting your hand feel it stretch underneath and then breathe out
and keep your hand right here. I want you to imagine this area being your center, being a place of stability, a place where you feel rooted and calm and sure and steady, a place where you feel confident and sure knowing exactly who you are.
And I want you to imagine for a moment a scene, maybe it's from today, maybe it's from recently, where you have felt far from center. A little out of pocket, maybe a little chaotic. I want you to visualize this scene of maybe you just sort of pulling away from this area of your body. Just take notice of what emotions you feel.
Or what emotions you remember being there during that time. Our routines can make us feel stable. They can make us feel grounded. They can make us feel safe. And it's easy to believe that coming back into routine is the answer for feeling whole again. For feeling healthy.
solid again. But this is just an illusion. Your true nature, your deep rooted sense of self is always available to you. You just have to remember. So feel that wholeness now. Solid, confident, beautiful, radiant.
And imagine yourself pulling yourself back in from these feelings of chaos, these feelings of moving around, these feelings of off-centeredness. Pull that energy back in to your center and just remember.
Be here for a few moments while you feel the softness, the ease that returns as you come back to center.
Now, bring your hand to your heart and take a big deep cleansing breath in and exhale. Gently opening your eyes, allowing yourself to feel a little bit more calm.
a lot more clear in knowing who you are, knowing that this sense of peace, this centeredness is always available in just one breath. Thank you for meditating with me this morning, ladies. I hope it was wonderful for you and I hope that this is a meditation you can come back to anytime you are feeling out of your routine, feeling off center, feeling like you
You're just not clicking into place. All you need is a little reminder that you are your center. I love you. Namaste.
