You want to be disciplined and you want to be, you know, aggressive towards your goals and you want to win and you want to do everything it takes to win. But you need to build it around what's sustainable too. So there's like that middle ground, the perfect middle ground, okay? Where it's better than the average person, it's helping you be productive, plan your day, set yourself up for success, motivate yourself, have great energy, great health, great cognitive function and a good mood. You want all of those things.

But you don't want to do it at the expense of like getting sick or only doing it for two weeks and then burning out. My name is Rudy Moore, host of Living the Red Life podcast. And I'm here to change the way you see your life in your earpiece every single week. If you're ready to start living the red life, ditch the blue pill, take the red pill, join me in Wonderland and change your life.

- What's up guys, welcome back to another episode of Living the Red Life. Today we're gonna talk about your routine, daily routines of success, routines of the billionaires. What time should you wake up? What time should you go to bed? How do you optimize cognitive function, brain function? How'd you become a superhero, superstar, right? And we'll make sure by the end of it that you have some direction, some guidance. This is a blend of

all my entrepreneurial time, right? Everything I've done to become successful, plus a bit of my sports science background, as some of you may know or may not know, my whole background for 10 years was in sports science. I was marketing and doing business and online social media and everything throughout that time period.

That's actually how I got good at it. I made my first few million with sports science and I became a fitness guru and had 100,000 members and have a master's degree in sports nutrition and sports science. So today I'm gonna kind of give you a bit of

a blend of both, right? Some of my personal experiences, stuff that I've seen many of my very smart friends that are scientists implement, and very successful entrepreneurs. So when we talk about the perfect routine, the most important thing to understand out the gate is your routine is your routine, okay? And you do need to find something sustainable

The biggest thing I've probably learned in 10 years of being a sports scientist and a nutritionist and helping thousands of people is we often say is the best diet is the one you can stick to. And that's really important to understand with the best morning routine. The best morning routine is the one you can stick to, right? You might argue,

you know, if you get a few biohackers in the room, they might say, well, the best morning routine is you're going to wake up at 4 a.m., you're going to have an ice bath, and then you're going to do a meditation, then you're going to do these 17 other things, you're going to take 400 supplements, and,

like, yeah, that might make you superhuman, but you might not be doing it after 30 days and you probably go back to your old ways and then quit, right? And that's the problem with a lot of diets too is people don't stick to them even if they're great. So you gotta find like something sustainable and then you've got to optimize it around your lifestyle and goals, right?

So I'll start with what I personally do. I did want to caveat that before I go any further. And there's a lot of great biohacks and ways to improve productivity and everything like that. But at the end of the day, it's got to be something you can stick to because if you hate every second of it, discipline will get you so far. For some of you, discipline can get you almost the whole way. Most of us aren't disciplined to do something we hate every single morning for the rest of our life. Okay, it's just reality of life.

So what I do, right, and I don't have this crazy complex routine. I mean, some people ask me this and they're like, they think, oh, wow, Rudy probably does these a million things to be productive, but it's actually the opposite. And that's probably partly why I'm successful because I get up and go, right? Like I literally, I wake up, you know, I might, you know, kind of just get going for 10 minutes until I'm fully awake. I generally will check the time.

And then I'll get up and go, right? And I generally try and wake up to the sun. One of the biggest reasons I became an entrepreneur is I don't want to ever have to set an alarm. And unless I'm flying or doing something, you know, I have a physio appointment or a golf or something like that.

I'm generally not setting alarms, which I like. So I like to wake up with the sun, it's generally 7:30. Okay, I'm not like a 6:00 AM-er and I'm not against a 6:00 AM-er. Part of me wishes if I could get up there naturally and enjoy it and felt good getting up naturally then, I kinda wish I did in some ways 'cause I would have more time. But I've found for me like productivity throughout the day, enjoying my evenings, which is important to me, having time to enjoy my evenings.

and then feeling high energy all day, not feeling like crappy or having afternoon dips or having, you know, being really tired. Waking up naturally is super important for me in line with the sun. So I wake up around then.

I then generally get up, you know, check the time, get up and I get on with things, right? So sometimes I'll go play basketball or go to the gym. Often times, sometimes I will, I try and get sunlight for 10, 15 minutes. I'm playing basketball, obviously I'm getting an hour of sunlight. Sometimes I'll walk the dogs.

I might do a call with my COO, he's in the UK and I really enjoy him being in the UK 'cause for a period of time for about the first year, I did a call every single morning with him. Now, maybe once a week.

So I'll sometimes do a call with him, walk the dogs, or I'll listen to, you know, if I wanna listen to music, I'll listen to music. Sometimes I'll do podcasts, sometimes I'll do audio books, and obviously playing basketball, sometimes I'll do podcasts and audio books, sometimes I'll do music.

And then I'm generally in the office by nine, okay? I just take some caffeine in the morning, energy drinks. Yes, not the most healthiest thing in the world. Also, based on a lot of science, they're not the biggest killer in the world, like some people will let you believe too. They're something I enjoy and I have sugar free for sure. I wouldn't have the sugary ones.

There's far worse things in life. And that's like something I enjoy. So it's like a risk reward ratio, right? I'll risk some of the colorins and artificial sugars for the enjoyment side. But yeah, that's generally my morning routine. I don't do breakfast. I do better fasting. I actually fast. I enjoy fasting. I've fasted for about six years of my life. Fasting has a lot of health benefits. We research this a lot.

And for me, I enjoy eating in the evenings, having a bigger meal then, and then I can focus all day. So no breakfast, straight into it. I do hydrate. I drink a ton of water. I drink a lot of liquid throughout the day. So I'll drink a lot in the morning to get going, some caffeine, play a bit of sport, or generally go for a walk in the office by nine. We do a 9 a.m. huddle.

So for me, then at the 9 a.m. huddle, I'm going to take you through the rest of my day. Then I'm going to talk about some kind of more biohacking methods and stuff to improve productivity and some work related methods. But 9 a.m., I do a daily huddle. I really enjoy this. I've done it for about the last year of my business life. Once we got to like 40, 50 staff.

I would recommend you try this once you get bigger and even smaller if you have 5-10 staff. We are obviously more office space now. We're an international team, but we're more office space. So 9 a.m., we have 15 minutes. We have everyone on the call. So like 70, 80 people. There's some people time zones and stuff in California, you know, West Coast and overseas might not get on.

We're going through KPI. So what was revenue yesterday? What's revenue month today? What was sales? How that what was ad spend? Celebrity partners what rule their revenue so I really like the check-in because it gets everyone there at 9:00 It gets everyone ready everyone staying disciplined starting the day on time everyone starting the day knowing exactly where revenue and sales and everything's at and

and then we have one minute department updates for 10 minutes so like 10 departments rapid fire for a minute and then i give like a ceo update for two three minutes and i probably go to most of these you know if i'm away on a trip a business trip or maybe once a week i don't show up or i'll do it on my phone a couple of times a week half the time i'll be in office already sometimes i might take a longer walk to the office after basketball and do it on my phone something like that

So that's my start. That's my morning. Okay. And what I want you to take away from that is I've been very successful and I've not done these 101 things. And, you know, and everyone's different. Some people need to meditate and journal. Some people need to plan. Some people need to do ice baths, right? You know, I have my routine. I enjoy my routine. I love my routine. I feel have amazing energy all day because of my routine. And it's not this crazy biohacking thing, right? And

And then throughout the day, I try and structure my, I like to block meetings. This is something I found super beneficial. I don't like to do a Zoom here, a break, a Zoom, a break, a Zoom, a break. So I try and do all my Zoom meetings from nine till one, okay, or 9.30 till one.

i try and keep the afternoons free i might do the odd call if it's like a fun call hey let's plan some content hey let's go through a new funnel idea hey let's they plan out a bunch of stuff for a new celebrity but generally i'm trying to do all my main regular meetings between nine and one so those calls include live calls those calls include um

um so i do a couple of live calls to thousands of people or hundreds of members or my smaller like my high level members right a smaller group and then i'll do internal meetings so i'll do every since i have about 10 departments right finance hr video design tech marketing kpi call legal call right celebrity call so all those 10 departments

I'll do an hour a week. We have a video, then we have another one for social and content. So those 10 or 12 calls I'll do over the course of a week, plus a couple of life calls. So that equals about three or four hours a day, right? So that's my meetings done, one o'clock, boom.

Afternoon, I try and work with the staff. I do calls with like friends, partners, potential deals, maybe an attorney, maybe someone I met at conference, an old friend reconnecting, maybe a podcast like this, podcast interview. So my afternoon and then content, right? So yeah, that's kind of my afternoons.

Productivity wise, my perfect day, I will sometimes take a 30 minute break. I'll go to the beach, I'll get more sunlight, I might even go in the ocean. That's generally what I do. I'm still fasted. I generally do maybe a smoothie in the afternoon. And I like to do a ginger shot every day. A lot of health benefits to stuff like garlic, ginger, stuff like that.

and I have a bad immune system, ginger's great for that, so I try and keep that going. And then I'll generally finish about six. So about six o'clock, head home, do dinner six till seven. And then after that, seven till 10, or maybe 7:30 is probably by the time I do dinner. Set around 7:30 till 11, I will be, you know, have a movie on in the background. I might be working on a few bits. I might be researching some bits. I might just be on my phone watching a movie.

So yeah, you know, I might be out at dinner, right? Because I'm kind of probably twice a week doing dinners with people, friends, business people, clients, whatever that might be. So that's generally a day in the life. Okay. And what I want you to take away is maybe there's some structure stuff there you enjoy. For a lot of you, I want you to understand you don't have to have this crazy routine, you

I do recommend if you need it, I'm pretty disciplined and good at like controlling what's a high ROI and not, and I build it into like my meeting structure. But I do like the idea of time blocking stuff if you're not like that or you don't have as much structure as me.

I know some people do 15 minute blocks. Not overly against that. I mean, it's a little excessive, but if it helps you stay super disciplined, I'm not against it. I like a bit of freedom. That's why I became an entrepreneur and a CEO. But whatever you need to do to get a result, right? I think in terms of productivity, yeah.

Nutrition is super important, right? Exercise is super important and sunlight is super important. Fasting is a great way if you enjoy that sort of thing, fasting is actually a great way to increase cognitive function and productivity and energy. There's scientific studies to show that. There's scientific studies to show different supplements can improve cognitive function, right?

There's different studies to show hydration improves cognitive function. Studies that show sunlight improves cognitive function. Studies that show a change in work environment improves cognitive function and output, right? So good night's sleep improves cognitive function. So music can improve cognitive function and output.

So there's all these ways and different abilities you have to improve your output, your cognitive function, your productivity, all of that. I recommend you research and you don't have to become a biohacker, right? I have some friends that are top biohackers. You don't have to become a biohacker. But what I would recommend you to do is you're like a pro athlete trying to be great at basketball.

And so a pro athlete understands to be great at basketball, they have to have healthy nutrition, good supplementation, good rest, recovery. If you're trying to be an ultra millionaire, you're trying to achieve that top 0.01%. We talk about that a lot, right? You're trying to build your dream life. So you do have to take care of these things.

if you want to enhance your ability to win. Can you be a great basketball and have a crappy diet? Yeah, there's people in the NBA that I'm sure have terrible diets, they're just naturally gifted, right? But not everyone's like that, and you could also have that counter argument, well, how much better would they be if they took care of all those details? And I think Kobe said this about Shaq, right? He could be the greatest player of all time if he had put the effort and discipline in that Kobe had, right? So...

So think about where you're at in life, where you're trying to go and what is the needed level of discipline to achieve that. For some of you, if you want to be a billionaire, then you might have to map out every minute of every day. You might have to be up at 4 a.m. You might have to say no to a ton of things and be

insanely religiously disciplined, okay? If some of you try and make a million dollars and have a good lifestyle, then there's probably more flexibility. The important thing to also remember is the reality of the situation is the smarter you are, the less disciplined you can probably be to an extent, right?

Someone, and you see this with some of the billionaires and super successful people, and I'm not saying it's right by the way, but some of the geniuses out there, they can work a few hours a day, hang out, be a bit chill, 'cause they're just geniuses. Whereas some people, and I know some people in this industry and friends,

not that smart but they work 16 hours a day they're super good at listening to people following direction they're action takers they have a good mindset so they they kind of hustle through and they beat some people that are super smart so i'm pretty lucky that i think i'm pretty smart i have high iq intellect and i'm also pretty disciplined and have a great mindset so it's like that triangle of success right

So for you, build that perfect life in terms of kind of biohacking what time to wake up in the morning, what time should you wake up? I think build it around like your energy levels and what is maintainable. So I'm a more evening person, honestly, so I can work late in the evening. I enjoy it. Sometimes I'll be checking people we might be interviewing at midnight or 11. You know, back in the early days, I was running ads every night. I was going through funnels. I was

So I've always enjoyed the evening walk. Some people are the opposite. They want to be up at 6:00.

They want to do that whole one hour perfect morning routine. And you can, you know, Craig Ballantyne, a friend of mine, has a book on it. There's a few people that have books and lots of different ways you can kind of biohack or create your perfect morning routine, write your plan for the day, all of those things. I used to do all those things. I think now naturally I'm better at it. So I don't do all of that, but I used to.

So kind of build it, test it. And what I want you to understand is it's okay to adapt and pivot. Just be critical of yourself, right? Because you don't want to use an excuse of, oh, well, this is what suits me. But it's actually just being lazy and undisciplined. I'm not saying you want to be disciplined and you want to be, you know, aggressive towards your goals and you want to win and you want to do everything it takes to win. But you need to build it around what's sustainable too. So there's like that middle ground, the perfect middle ground, okay? Where it's

It's better than the average person. It's helping you be productive, plan your day, set yourself up for success, motivate yourself, have great energy, great health, great cognitive function and a good mood. You want all of those things, but you don't want to do it at the expense of like getting sick or only doing it for two weeks and then burning out. That is the point of today's podcast and episode. And the point that sustainability will generally always be

like some crazy good plan that you only do for a month or you only do every other week. And we saw that a lot in scientific studies around the diet. An average diet where it's not super healthy, but they cook calories and still eat decently well will be more like the excessive diets that happen for six weeks and then rebound, right? It's kind of that slow and steady wins the race sort of message or motto. So

So that's my routine. A lot of you have asked, so I wanted to do an episode on it. I know it's not overly sexy. There's no like, wow, this is the secret to Rudy's success. But in fact, that is the secret to Rudy's success. There's no one thing. Okay. It's continuation. It's focus. It's putting in the work, but also being productive in how I structure my day. Hopefully you saw that. Hopefully you saw how I structure my meetings.

And I built something, most importantly, what you need to understand is I built something for me that worked really well for me, that I enjoy. I run my company super efficiently. I can cover all my meetings within that period of time. I have a good balance in life. It's sustainable. I get to play sport. I get to do hobbies. I get to do what I enjoy. I have time to film content just like this while running a big company with lots of employees.

and I get to have great energy throughout the day, which is in my opinion, the point of a great morning routine and a perfect daily routine is enjoyable, sustainable, healthy, good energy, good productivity. Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait a second. Before we go into the rest of this episode, I'm gonna interrupt abruptly and just add

for a simple 30 second review. It would mean the world to me. Send me that screenshot. I would love for you to leave that review and I would appreciate it very, very much so we can keep growing this show and make it awesome. So let's get back into the episode. I appreciate you guys and let's dive back in.

So really the point of a perfect day or a perfect routine is having all the variables where you can be super productive, you can be super healthy, you can be super happy, you can crush your goals, you can get everything done. But obviously a big part for most of you is balance too, right? Living the red life is building the life of your dreams, living in wonderland, but defining that is different for every single one of you. So what I want you guys to do is

focus on making the best day for you based on productivity, based on getting everything you need to be done, done, right? Executing well, most people, probably yourself included, let's be honest, spend a lot of time doing stuff you shouldn't be doing. So you could argue, oh, well, if I get up at 5:00 AM and work an extra three hours a day, I'm gonna be way more successful. I would say, well, only if you're spending time

aren't exactly the right things. If you get up, I could outwork someone for sure working half the time they do because I'm really good at understanding exactly what to do, what's next, what do I have to work on today, protecting my time, saying no, building teams and efficiencies and systems around me. So don't get fooled by thinking it's just work. And I did a post on my Instagram about this

The best, most successful people have a lot of, they do a lot of work, right? A lot of volume, but then every minute or every hour is hyperproductive. That's what you want to use your perfect day routine to create. And I encourage you to start tailoring and

building it around you. But what I also encourage you to do is testing, right? Because some of you will do really well waking up early, having every 15 minutes mapped out, doing a workout, taking some supplements, having a clear schedule, time blocking, being super disciplined, putting on, you know, motivational videos to get you going. Like some of you will really need that in the early days. And I did all that stuff in the early days and it got me more disciplined and

It's kind of like anything learning to bike, eventually it becomes subconscious where you're just doing it. And that's what I want you guys to try and achieve is build an aggressive routine that will get you the best results, but something that you also love, you enjoy, you have some sort of a balance. And balance is not like a normal person's balance, right? You can't ever be successful watching Netflix. Well, you can, but you probably shouldn't be watching Netflix six hours a day like most people. So your balance is still gonna be entrepreneurial balance.

but in a way that you're crushing your goals, okay? And you're enjoying life and you're living the red life and you're enjoying yourself and you're hitting those goals as fast as physically possible because that's what success looks like. How do I hit my goals? Okay, now I reset and go to that next level. And that is success, right? Work towards my goal, hit it as fast as I can. Okay, I crushed that goal, let's set a bigger goal. Okay, let's run towards that goal, hit it, crush it, reset.

and run to that next goal and i talked about this recently too that that's really what just success is is it's just doing that same kind of hamster wheel effect on your goals every single time so like i said

Try different routines. Some of you will want to get up early. Some of you will get up later, but work later. Don't fall into the con of like, you must do these 17 things. I think that kind of became famous and popular on the internet a few years ago. And I do think that many of those principles are great. They're healthy. They're good for you. Some of you could all benefit from that.

But I think the biggest thing is trial and error and understanding the best routine will always be the one you can stick to for the next 20 years of your life, not the next two months of your life. And I hope this helped give you an insight into my routine, right? My routine isn't that crazy. It's not uber ridiculous, but that's the point that I'm able to be really successful with a relatively sustainable routine. And obviously in the early days, I did work more.

But I want you to understand you can be successful, have a balance. You don't have to do a million things before 7am in the morning like some of the gurus teach. Could those things help some of you and should you try it for a week or two, see if you like it? Yeah. Some people love to be up at 5am to journal, to ice bath, right? But some people don't and I wouldn't force it if you don't, as long as you stay disciplined

and you know when to critique yourself and say, hey, I'm being lazy, I'm being a little, you know, and you get your stuff together and figure it out. So I hope this episode helped. It gave you a bit of an insight. A lot of you have asked about the routine and I've given it you now.

and I hope you can take some elements and apply it and I hope also if you want to dive deeper into this there's amazing podcast experts biohackers and gurus where they spend their whole life studying this stuff they're the people I go to learn from if I want to refine a technique if I want to see if ice baths are worth it or I want to see if this is worth it or cold showers right all of those things I do the research and I learn from an expert

Just like you learn from me, an expert, right? Around social media and around marketing and advertising and building businesses, right? You go to the expert. So until next time, build your perfect routine. Let me know how that looks. I would love to hear from some of you and learn what your perfect routine is. As always, send it me on Instagram. I'm active there.

I would love to see some of your extreme ones and I bet some of you have more basic ones. So share those, share this with a friend if they're ever asking about how to structure their day, how to optimize the day for success, how to build the perfect routine. And as always, I would love a review. Until next time guys, build that routine, keep living the red life, keep crushing it. I know you got this and I'll see you next week in another episode. Take care.
