Another big day on Wall Street today. The Dow gained 507 points. NASDAQ added 282. The S&P 500 closed 67 points higher. The jury should get the sex trafficking trial of Sean Diddy Combs before the weekend. When cross-examination of a final prosecution witness, a federal homeland security investigator, came to a close, prosecutors rested their case.
Federal lawyers have presented 34 witnesses over 33 days, which included Combs' ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, and rapper Kid Cudi. The defense asked the judge to throw out all charges against Combs and end the case, claiming prosecutors did not prove racketeering and sex trafficking charges. Closing arguments are expected to start Thursday.
