Hello my beautiful people and welcome back to the moments podcast. I am actually recording this episode lying in bed I've never recorded an episode sitting in my room, but I don't know where my camera is So i'm not physically recording this episode. So I was like I might as well go be somewhere that i'm really comfortable and I also Procrastinated this episode all day long because I couldn't decide what I wanted to talk about. There's been so many different

in my mind. Like I wanted to do an episode on self-sabotage. I wanted to do an episode on breaking your own heart and I wanted to do an episode on habits to start in 2023. And I kind of just waited all day to figure out which one

felt the most right. Like, what did I really want to talk about the most? And then I also just realized this is the first episode technically that I'm recording in 2023 and it's still kind of a fresh new year for all of us. So I'm going to tell you habits that I think you should incorporate into your life. And before I even list all these out,

Please note that one, I don't do all these like there's literally zero chance I could do all of these every single day. And to like adjust them to what works in your life. Obviously, we're all on different schedules doing different things with different jobs and school schedules and careers like just adjust it to what works for you. I just want to give you guys like some ideas and some things to think about because I don't know whenever I do something.

incorporate these habits into my life, I notice that I feel a lot better and I feel mentally everything feels a lot clearer. So I guess quick little life update. Happy New Year to me and to you and to everyone. I have been, I think I've talked about this on the past few episodes. I've just been lifing. Like I've been very in the moment. I haven't been

Yeah, no, I haven't been prioritizing work, but in a good way. Not like I haven't been working. I've been working, but I've been prioritizing my friendships and connections and experiences more than I've been prioritizing work. And going into the new year, I have so many big goals for what I want to do with work, and I'm just trying to work on finding that balance between the two of them. And who knows? You guys have heard me talk about it so often and so much now that, I don't know, you guys will know when I pull it together. We'll see what happens. But

Big things are coming this year and I just hope that you're excited because I'm excited and I really think that everyone has a good feeling about this year. I don't know how to explain it, but every TikTok I've seen where everyone's talking about 2023, no one's like, it doesn't even feel like a new year. Everyone is saying that it does and they're inspired and they're excited. So let's go. I hope that that's the side of TikTok that we're all on and it's not just me, but I

I'm just going to get into these habits because I want to give you the list and then I'm going to let you go. I'm not going to sit here and talk your ear off for like an hour. We're going to do this as quick as possible.

The first set of things I have are more physical things. And then the next set, so I'm going to do half and half. And the next set is mental. Some of the mental things kind of cross over into being physical, but I think they affect your mental health more. Anyways, let's just get into it. My first thing that I wrote down was do something active every day. And note that active does not mean work out every single day at the gym for two hours. It doesn't mean lift weights heavier than your body weight.

Something active can mean going for a walk and I'm sure that I have told you guys this before you've heard me say it before go for a walk or Do some yoga or literally just stretch your body. It doesn't even have to be this long yoga class stretch your body do butterfly pose do a downward dog That's physical go running if that's what you like to do skip around the neighborhood if that's what you like to do get a Skateboard get a ripstick. I don't know get a pair of Heelys fine

Find something where you can move your body every single day and enjoy it. And then again, it doesn't have to be the same thing every day. It can also be having a dance party in your house. I have had some very serious dance parties that last 30 minutes. I'm like, damn, that was a whole like cardio Zumba class. And that stuff is fun. It makes me feel good. I'm not sitting there thinking about how I'm working out and I don't dread it at all. And I also consider when I go volunteer at the dog shelter, which this isn't on my list technically, but I really...

Forgot to even say I'm doing 23 habits for 2023. I just thought that that was fun And anyways, I wanted to include that volunteering for me at the dog shelter isn't on this list But I think that if there is a local shelter near you and you like animals Email them see if you can volunteer call see if you can volunteer go in whatever it may be go spend time with animals because they bring me so much joy and

to a point that I can't even put it into words. Like, I have felt so much happier ever since I started volunteering with these dogs. And not just because I'm volunteering, but because puppies just make me feel good. And I think that they could make us all feel good. But back to the point, something active. When I go there, I'm running around with the dogs. I'm walking dogs. I'm getting steps in. I leave there, like, drenched in sweat. And I'm like, wow.

I didn't even realize that was a workout and it's not even about working out, but it is very important to move your body. And when you can do it in a way that you're going to enjoy it, that's even better. So number one, hands down, do something physical every day. And it's also not all or nothing. You don't have to do this two hour sweat or nothing at all. If you walk around the block one time and it takes you two and a half minutes, just know that you still did something and give yourself credit for that. Moving into the next one.

Follow some kind of skincare routine. It doesn't have to be crazy intense. I'm not talking like really expensive products that you have to do in like 10 different parts. Here's what I do. And I don't even do this every day. This is going to look different for every single person. There's people who are really good with skincare and know how it works and know about ingredients and brands. I'm not one of those people. I've been gifted a bunch of skincare and I kind of just will use whatever I feel like I use, whatever I feel like using that day. But

But I've noticed a much better difference in my skin when I just pick one thing. So what I've been doing is cleansing my face. I use... I don't even know what it's called. But again, it's going to be different than what everyone uses. It's the La Roche something with a P. Anyways, use that on my face. I wash my face or I use the...

And Panoxyl. Panoxyl. And I use that because I get really bad hormonal acne. We're not going into my whole skincare routine right now. And then I moisturize. And I have a serum. Just pick one serum. You don't have to put 18 different serums on, I promise you. Pick one that you think is going to benefit your skin the most, whether that's like a vitamin C or a...

I don't know, I'm not a dermatologist and I know nothing about skincare. So we're going to disregard everything I said about that. I am just encouraging you to pick a few steps and incorporate them into your every single night. And I think that you'll feel better about your skin. You'll feel glowier, you'll feel younger, and it just, it will make you proud of yourself. Next up is a morning routine. When I say morning routine, I don't mean wake up at 4.30 every single day and do 18 million things. I'm not asking you to write a college essay before bed.

You're awake every single day. Like we don't need to do all that. But what I will tell you to do is try to wake up a little bit earlier than you do. Usually. Unless you're waking up at 5 or 6 a.m. Please don't wake up earlier than that. There's no need to. You need your precious sleep. Because another thing on this list is to fix your sleep schedule. Which means go to bed earlier and wake up earlier. But I have noticed in my life, I also, this might just be,

A personal one. I. Had a big problem with sleeping in. At a couple different points in my life. And I really did not like the way that it made me feel. And obviously. You know. If you're in school. Or you're in high school. Or you're early morning classes. Like you can't sleep in. But if you're someone who. Kind of works on your own schedule. And can have more control over when you wake up. And stuff. I.

hated how I felt when I was sleeping in and I have made it a huge goal of mine to wake up earlier at every opportunity that I can unless I fall asleep at 3 4 in the morning. I'm gonna try to wake up before 10 a.m. But honestly now I've been trying to do before 9 a.m But that has taken me time to be able to get there like it It's not easy but you will feel a lot better when you wake up earlier because you have more time in your day and you genuinely get more things done and you're more motivated and

I don't know, could just be me, but I'm encouraging you to do it because it makes me feel really, really good. Next one I have is decide on a few supplements. This is also part of the morning routine one.

decide on a few supplements that you'll benefit from. So do your research. Look up, like, if you're struggling with hair growth, Google what supplements will help my hair grow. For me, like, that's Biotin. And I think for all of us, Biotin will help your hair grow, your nails grow. So I take Biotin in the morning and I take a probiotic for my gut health. I don't know. I don't know the details. Again, I'm not...

I'm not educated in this stuff. I just do my research and I do what works for me. So do research on different supplements you could take. And I think pick two or three and remind yourself to take them every single day. And I think that you should find a greens to drink because greens are just good for you. Not like those Bloom ones. Bloom, I've tried their greens. They're not bad, but they're all over TikTok. And I think anyone that has to market that much is a little bit of a red flag for me because none of that's organic. All of those are paid partnerships.

just an FYI but the stuff does taste good I've tried it but don't get blue I have one in my Amazon storefront I think is pretty good I've read the ingredients on it they seem pretty natural but I've been having those pretty much every day for the past few months or so and I I don't even notice like any crazy differences it's probably just a placebo effect in my head but makes me feel healthier and that's really all I want to do so I do my greens I

I take vitamin c. I take a probiotic and I take biotin for my hair and I also sometimes not every day Depending on how puffy I am or how much time I have I try to ice roll my face because I've always loved to do that like I Love putting ice on my face. It just feels good And I think it helps circulate your blood and all sorts of things But that's if you're puffy, you know, if you're not puffy, you probably don't need to ice your face Next one I have is get an eye cream. Um

I've just always been told by my grandma that you need to use an eye cream. So I have one. I try to remember to put it on, but it doesn't always go so well. And then the next one I have, which I'm really, really bad at, is to put sunscreen on every morning. Even if you're not going to be like directly in the sun, you're supposed to put sunscreen on. And I'm telling you this. It's really hypocritical of me to tell you, though, because I am really, really,

Really bad at putting sunscreen on I get mad when I have to put it on when I literally go toast in the Sun But I'm working on it. Okay. I want to take care of my skin. I don't want to age fast So we're getting there. Okay, the next one moving on from the morning routine actually start drinking a lot of water I used to be really good at this because I was obsessed with my hydro flasks because flasks, okay Multiple hydro flasks. Oh my gosh. I literally don't even know what I'm saying. I

But I'm kind of over that phase of my life, so it's been really hard for me to drink a lot of water. Like, it just hasn't been enjoyable for me to drink water. But me and you both are going to work on drinking more water this year because we want to be hydrated. It's very important, and it really does help your energy levels and just help you feel better in general. Next one.

This might just be something that I enjoy, but sweating is one of the few things in life that keeps me sane. Like I can be having the worst day of my life. If I go do something that's going to make me sweat, I am so happy. I have always visualized sweat leaving my body as negative energy leaving and toxic energy leaving and I have just...

I enjoy every second that I get to sweat. And maybe that's because I grew up in Florida and I'm forced to sweat every single day of the year because it's so hot here. Who knows? But hot yoga, my go-to. Spending time in the sauna, my absolute favorite thing in the world. I'm literally buying a sauna to put in my backyard because right now, right now I drive...

Depending on the traffic, 20 to 30 minutes to go in the sauna for 15 minutes. And it's just not worth it anymore for me between paying the membership at the gym I go to and the gas money and the anger that driving through traffic brings me. I have wanted a sauna for so long. And I think it's just a really good investment in my health. And like my friends can come use it. My family can come use it. And I just, I'm really pumped up for it. And it's really good for brain health too. Yeah.

If you want to go in a sauna, I think you should. And I try to meditate in there or play my favorite songs. Just go sweat somewhere. I don't know. Go for a walk. You'll probably start sweating. I don't know. Some of my dance parties lead to sweating. I'm just telling you, sweat as often as you can. It's a really good habit to incorporate into your life. The next one, we all need to start talking to strangers more. At least once a week, I want you to just start a conversation with a random person

At a coffee shop. At the gas station. Someone that you haven't talked to in your class. Start a conversation and get to know someone because I've told you guys this probably more times than you can count on both hands. We can learn something from everyone. And you never know who you're going to meet and how valuable a connection is. And

What could happen if you introduce yourself to this new person? Like you could have a new best friend for life and you wouldn't know it if you didn't just say hi. And I also think in this day and age with all the technology and all of the social media that we have, we forget how to talk to people. We genuinely forget how to socialize with one another. And I don't know, maybe that's just me. Maybe that's something that only I have been feeling, but I don't think that it is. I think we...

I'll have had a much harder time building genuine friendships and just, I don't know, being people. So I want you to start conversations as often as you can. And sometimes the easiest way to start a conversation is to, one, maybe ask a question because then you can kind of go back and forth with it or give someone a compliment. That's harder because sometimes they'll just say thank you and then how do you follow that up? I don't know. These are all things I think about. But if you know the best way to start a conversation with a stranger, please share it with me. I would love to know. Moving on.

I do this thing called oil pulling and I think that you should incorporate it into your life. There's a few benefits about it that I know, but I also just enjoy it. Every time I shower, it's going to sound gross. I know you take a spoonful of coconut oil and you swish it around in your mouth for 10 to 15 minutes. So for me, I just do it the whole time I'm showering and in the shower, I'll also gouache on my face and I'll put on a face mask or a hair mask or I'll shave my legs. I try to make my showers nice and long and very mindful because

Because I don't know, shower is a safe space for me. Like I just get to be warm and cozy and nothing else is going on and I can't be on my phone. So I'll oil pull and I'll put on a good playlist. And what oil pulling does is it just kind of helps get rid of the nasty bacteria in your mouth and it helps your teeth stay whiter and it's just, it's good all around. But it's gross. But you definitely get used to the swishy swishy part. So don't stress it. Just try it a couple times and then you'll be used to it. But it is definitely a weird feeling at first.

The next one, clean out your closet as time goes on, okay? I'm saying...

When you know you're done wearing something, get rid of it. Don't let your closet get so stuffed and packed that you don't even know what's in there anymore. Because at that point, it's like you have to start all over. But if you're progressively taking things out of the closet and then adding new things in, your closet is never going to be so packed that you don't even know what's in there. And I wrote this one down because I don't do this very well. I have to...

Let my closet get so disgustingly packed and that's when I'll get rid of 10 million thousand things. But I don't really want to do that this year. I would like to just kind of keep my life in order and keep my clothes in order. And I don't know. Just know the clothes that I have. There's nothing worse than trying to pick an outfit.

And having to take every single thing out of the drawer just to figure out what shirts I even own. You know what I'm saying? 2023, we're going to keep our crap organized. Speaking of, I'm redoing my bedroom and I just got a new dresser and I'm so excited. I'm just pumped to redo my bedroom. It needs to be redone so badly. I don't like it in here. Which actually goes along with something I'm going to say in one of the next points. But the next one is I want you to incorporate more whole foods into your diet.

And this is not me saying at all, don't get rid of the McDonald's. Don't get rid of the Taco Bell. Don't get rid of any of the yummy, delicious junk food that like fills your soul. Because I personally couldn't survive without that and none of us could. We need everything in moderation. We need the things that we enjoy the most. But what I will tell you, eat more green things. Eat more vegetables. Start putting chia seeds in your smoothies or flax seeds. All of these things are really good for your body and for your gut and health.

help you in so many ways that I don't know how to explain to you because I read them in articles and then they went in one ear and right out the other but they're good for you and you don't have to change anything you don't have to stop eating anything I just want you to add in more good things okay I will never ever ever tell you to get rid of the junk food because I think that that is the most valuable and the most important part of life in general the next one I have

Start a savings account. It doesn't have to be through the bank. It can be a piggy bank for all I care. Just start some kind of savings for whatever your passion project is. For me, it's travel. When I am saving my money or planning what to do with my money, travel is always my number one priority because I think experiences last a lifetime. I could do a whole podcast episode just talking about why I think travel is so valuable and I will never regret spending money on it.

But if travel isn't for you, have a savings jar. And it's not necessarily savings, but I'm going to call it the jar of money that you won't regret spending. So spend it towards your dreams, towards your goals. That is not money to be spent on a shirt from Brandy Melville that's going to rip in two months or that you're going to wear one time. That is money that you spend on buying inventory when you start a business or...

Things like that. You know, for me, it's travel. Just save money a little bit every single day. And don't waste your money. When I say that, I'm going to be so like open with you guys right now. For so long in my life, I spent so much money on just like vapes. And thinking about how much money, I'm talking like we're going back to high school, college here.

if you haven't had a phase keep it that way if you have work on quitting slowly but surely give yourself time it's not an easy thing to do but don't spend your money on that like if you really think about how much money that can cost it's it's disgusting take vape money and put it in a savings jar but we're gonna move on we're not gonna talk about vaping but if you're spending money on a vape i'm telling you just save the money you're gonna save so much next one is take more pictures

they really do last a lifetime. Like, I have never once regretted the amount of pictures that I have on my phone. Sometimes I'm overwhelmed by what's in my camera roll, but that is, that's not regret. That's just like, damn, I really need to clean this out. But I can go back to any day of my life in the past three years and almost know exactly what I did and who I was with and...

I can relive the day. And to me, that is something so valuable. And I promise if you're surrounding yourself with people who are like, oh, you're pulling your phone out again. Why do you have to take more pictures, Lexi? Like, why do you have to take videos? Don't surround yourself with those people, okay? I think that if you want to have your memories captured, take the pictures, take the videos, make the TikToks, okay? Just do whatever you want. It's your life. And you deserve to hold on to memories. Okay, the next one I have is very...

general, I guess. If you are religious, I want you to go practice your religion more. For example, if you're Christian, I want you to go to church whenever you can. Maybe it's not once a week. Maybe you can make it to church once a month. But I want you to go and I want you to pray and I want you to connect yourself with God and just believe in that higher power, whatever it is your religion is. I am not one to tell you to be a certain religion or do a certain thing. I am just...

wishing for you to be a part of something, something bigger and to give your energy to someone. And I don't know, I'm not going to get into the whole religion thing, but if you are religious, practice your religion because it's going to make you feel good. And it just helps you have this trust and this faith for the future that nothing else can really give you. I don't know how to explain it. And even if

If you're not religious, if you're an atheist, take a moment to talk to the universe and trust in the universe. And really what this should be kind of in the mental segment, I guess, not so much the physical. I just want you to work on trusting where you are. I'm going to say that again at the end to remind you. But next one we have now is spend time with the people who have always been there for you. For me, this is my family and my best friends and family.

The people who have supported me from day one, I want to spend more time with those people. And I want you to spend less time with the people who make you feel unworthy, unloved, who you can't laugh around, who you can't be yourself around. Don't hang out with those people, okay? You deserve better. Hang out with people where you can be a freaking weirdo and no one has anything to say to you. No one is going to call you cringe or whatever the case may be. Don't hang out with people who make you feel like that.

Moving into like the mental segment, I'm going to try to go through these kind of quick because, well, no, it's only been 20 minutes. We got time. We got time. Learn something new every single day. And this doesn't mean you have to study for an hour every day. What this means is if you're in college, if you're in high school, actually pay attention in your class and take good notes or watch a YouTube video on a topic that you enjoy or read a self-help book or an article and

About something that interests you. And do something every day that is going to evolve your mind. Okay? You don't have to quiz yourself and remember every single bit of knowledge that you take in or consume. Trust me. I've watched 18 million TED Talks. I've read so many books. Not even. I never finished them. But...

Probably 80% of the information that I read and consume doesn't stick in my mind, but that doesn't mean I'm not evolving my brain or I'm not gathering more knowledge. And who knows, maybe after the 18th time of reading, whatever it is, it'll stick. And that's why I think I say things to you guys so many times over and over on this podcast, just because why the heck not?

But just don't be afraid to learn more. I think that even learning something new can go along with talking to a stranger because, like I said, we can always learn something from strangers. The next one I have is start journaling. Write things down. Even if you have no idea where to start, you don't know prompts, you don't even have a journal, go to the notes in your phone. I don't know how many times I have to tell you guys this and just start writing. Don't be a perfectionist about it. This is a problem that I notice I have sometimes. When I'm in a...

So journaling phase, I'll be able to journal anything all the time and I'm just into it. But when I'm not in a journal phase, which I kind of am right now, like it's been hard for me to journal, it's because I've been a perfectionist about it. Like I haven't journaled for the start of 2023 yet just because I'm like, well, I'm not in the right headspace. I don't think my entry is going to be that good. And I was talking to my therapist today.

And she's like, dude, it doesn't have to be perfect. Literally just write. And what you write on that paper is what you were meant to write on that paper. And, you know, everything happens for a reason and it all falls into place. And da-da-da-da-da. She's got a point. So just start journaling. Write crap down, okay? It is going to help you clear out your brain and your emotions so much more than you think it will. The next one. Start talking to yourself nicely.

I tell you guys this, and I tell myself this every freaking week, okay? Be kind to you, okay? You are the person that you are going to have for the rest of your life. Everything else, everyone else can be gone in the blink of an eye. Anyone in your life can betray you.

Do not betray yourself. Treat yourself with compassion. Tell the girl in the mirror that she's beautiful and that she is loved and that she is willing and deserving and capable and she has nothing to be afraid of. Because when you talk to you like that, and I'm telling you this from personal experience from the past week or so of my life, when you are good to her and when you believe in her, she does good things and she is capable. And please, just be good to you because that's what you deserve to do.

The next one. Please write down your dreams. You don't have to tell them to anyone. You don't even have to know every detail of what they are. Like for me, I know that one of my dreams is to film a documentary. Do I know how to do that whatsoever? No, not yet. Do I know...

what it's going to be about. Not really. No, I have tons of ideas that go in 10 million different directions that I can't fit all into one documentary. But you know what? I've written it down and that is my way of speaking it into existence and bringing it into reality. And you have to pour energy into things if you want to see them manifest and come true. And you're going to sound crazy. So if you want to keep them to yourself, you can. But honestly, I believe the more people you tell your dreams to...

And the more people that call you crazy, the more likely you are to accomplish them because we all are a little bit competitive. We all have a competitive side to us. And if people are telling you you're not going to be capable, you're going to work harder and you're going to make it happen. And you're going to pour more energy and power into it. And boom, your dreams will become your reality. And this is like a total side note. I just want to touch on it. And I'm planning on doing a whole episode about it. But just manifesting in general.

All of that is so real. Or manifesting is something that goes against whatever it is that you believe. Call it speaking it into existence. Call it what you want to call it. But pouring your energy and your trust and your faith and hope into a dream will make it come true with the work that goes with it, obviously. Moving on. We'll dive into that another time because I can't put those thoughts into words right now.

The next one that we have is, where is it? I lost my train of thought. Be genuinely happy for other people. There is one thing that I learned or a quote that I read probably years ago now, and it will never, ever, ever leave my mind because of how much of an impact it had on me.

If you can't clap for others, it'll never be your turn. And that any time I find myself jealous or complaining or bringing someone down in my mind because of what they have that I don't have or whatever the case is, 99% of the time, if I'm thinking something negative about someone, it's one, coming from my own insecurity, two,

I'm just jealous and I'm comparing and I wish that I had what someone else had. And to train yourself to not think like that ever is a very hard thing to do. And I think that if you can tell me you've never been jealous or you've never been insecure and it has made you think negatively about someone else, I think you're lying because I think we're all human. And I think that if you can be aware of like the fact that that's why negative thoughts come through our mind sometimes, then I think that that's the first step. But what I'm really trying to say here is

is that you have to be happy for people if you want to see yourself succeed. And you have to be proud of your friends and you have to support your friends. And not just on the outside, like not in a fake way, in a genuinely serious, to your core, be happy for your friends. And you will notice that you'll feel better. You'll feel less like you need to one-up what's going on around you and all that stuff. Moving on.

The next one is to give back.

For me, my way of giving back is I really like to volunteer. We've learned this in the past couple weeks and the past few episodes that I've done. Volunteering has made me feel really, really good. And it's kind of cool that I'm at a point where I can tell you now that I've actually been going almost every day to the dog shelter because when I first started telling you about it, I hadn't even done my training. And I was just like, oh, I'm going to start doing it. I will, I will. And to see myself actually pull through, it's big for me because I used to be someone who would pull through on every single thing that I say and

And then I don't know what happened in my life, but I started being like a flake. Like I would just say I was going to do all these things and I would back down. Not even on purpose. It's just like it happened. But one of my huge goals, I guess one of my personal resolutions, and I think that I – I don't know if I talked about this last week, is to –

When I say yes, actually say yes. Like pull through with the commitments that I make. And it really is that simple. And I've been doing it. So just a little self-plug, I guess. It feels good to be proud of myself. So yeah, I've been volunteering. But for you, giving back might not be volunteering. You might not have the time to go...

out and do things like we're all on different schedules we're all busy like there's people out there working three different jobs you might not have time to go to the dog shelter and and that's okay there's other ways to give back if you have extra money that's just kind of like laying around and you don't know what to do with it donate it to a charity that you love or spend that money on i don't know buying dry erase markers for teachers like do something with it if you have extra money and if you don't have either of those things pray for people

And send your energy and like healing energy to other people. And just know that you are making a difference, okay? If you don't have the time or the money to go out and help physically, that's fine. We're not all at a point in our life where we can do that. But like,

Do something. I don't know. Think about other people and just help other people. Like if you see someone who needs help crossing the street, help them. I don't know. Just do what you can because it's going to make you feel like a better person too. And it just slowly makes the world a little bit of a better place. Next one I have, we're getting close to the end, is reduce the clutter in your life. I think I actually have 24 things instead of 23.

It's okay. Reduce clutter in your life. Drop what you don't need. So this can be, you know, dropping bad habits. This can also be dropping friendships that are toxic to you, dropping relationships that aren't evolving you anymore, just dropping what doesn't need to be a part of this year, okay? Whatever is weighing on your shoulders and is really, really heavy for you, I want you to

Leave it. I want you to put it down on the floor and I want you to walk away from it because when you do that, you will reduce so much clutter in your mind and you will have so much more room for the things that are actually important to you. You know what I'm saying? So yeah. Next.

Meditate, manifest, and create magic. I was writing this list and like that came to my mind. I was like, dude, that's fire. I'm going to write that down. The three M's, okay? I want you to meditate, manifest, and create magic. And I've gone over these all individually, put them all together, and that's what we get. So write that down, okay? Type that in your notes. That's your motto for 2023. Meditate, manifest, and create magic. I have made it a huge goal of mine this year to

So far, not so good. I'm going to be so honest with you. I told myself I was going to meditate every day. I have not meditated one time yet in January. But I'll get there when I get there. You know, I'm following the ebb and flow and lifing. And I don't know, all my friends are home from college too. And I've just been really enjoying every moment that I'm actually in. Next one we have is make each space that you spend time in, like your bedroom, your car, your...

Living room, I don't know wherever you live your apartment make it a safe place. Okay add touches that make it feel like you Maybe that's plants. Maybe that's pictures. Maybe that's a certain candle set just add little things that make a place feel more Like a safe place because when you are spending time in one area You want it to make you feel happy and and safe like i'm just gonna keep saying the word safe because it's so true like I I

don't like my bedroom so I'm never in my bedroom I don't sleep well and I think that that all is because it's just not somewhere that feels safe not it feels safe physically yeah but like mentally I want to feel comforting that's the word I'm looking for I want to make this room feel more comfortable because I think I'll sleep better I think I'll spend more time in my room and just I think I'll keep it cleaner I don't know moving on because I have noticed in I'm starting to get really rambly the parts of my house that I really like

I keep the cleanest because I just want them to always look nice because I love them. I don't know. And the next one we have is, we have three more. Make being in the moment a priority this year. Stop worrying so much about the past. Okay, you can't change it. What happened, happened. Like stop living in this version of yourself that no longer exists and stop stressing about a version of you that also doesn't exist yet. You are here. You are now. This is the body and soul that you get to work with.

Appreciate her be with her she deserves to be loved and cherished and cared for and she deserves to have fun She doesn't need to spend all of her time and energy worrying about things that already happened or things that haven't happened yet be in the moment and Enjoy the moment and enjoy your life and remember that you are a human being you are not a human doing you deserve to just be and flow and it's as simple as that the next one is

I'm going to say to you for the problem. There's what we're on episode 63 now, I think for the 63rd time, at least go to therapy. Okay. Talk to someone, spend your money on therapy because it is so good for you. I literally went to therapy today for the first time in, I think two months and it just felt good to just talk. I haven't even been sad about anything. My mental health has been incredible, honestly. And I still, I,

went to therapy and noticed how much better that it made me feel okay and the last one I don't know if this is 23 or 24 just be confident in your path and I touched on this when I talked about religion when I talked about just trusting in the universe and all these things I want you to just know that you are where you're supposed to be and this is another thing that I'm constantly reminding you of because it needs to be repeated because you need to believe it and you need to start telling it to yourself you're right where you're supposed to be okay if you would have asked me

In my 10th grade year of high school, if I felt like I was on the right path, I probably would have said no. Like, I don't know. I just didn't think about anything. But if I were to have thought about it, I probably would have been like, no, I need to be doing this, this, this, and that. However, if I had done my life differently in 10th grade, trying to change every detail of it to have my future look a certain way, I wouldn't be here. And I wouldn't be talking to you guys. And I wouldn't have the coolest job in the whole wide world and have...

so many best friends that I get to talk to about their mental health and physical health and just talk to in general and I don't know I just have to remind myself of that when it comes to thinking about the future because I still do have a hard time believing that I'm right where I'm supposed to be I will look around at what other people are doing and I'm like well maybe I should have done this this or that no I'm here I trust my path I trust in God I trust in Miss Miss Universe and that's that so

I just want to remind you of that. And those are 23 or 22 or 24 habits, whatever the number was, that I think will make a really positive impact in your life. And I notice that they make a positive impact in my life when I actually...

Go along with them. And I'm sure there's many more. Again, adjust them to your life. Please, if you've made it this far, share with me other habits that you're incorporating into your new year. Not necessarily resolutions, but just habits that you want to make part of your everyday life because I want to know more too and I want to know what works for everyone else. And yeah, I love you guys. I'm so grateful that I have you. I actually love you with all my heart.

And this is going to be a good year for every single one of us. You're my best friends. We'll talk soon. Thanks for listening. Also next Monday, Lissette might be on the podcast, which is so fun and exciting. Okay, goodbye.
