Hello, guys, and welcome back to Claim Your Power podcast. I am so excited for today's episode because today,

I've got a special guest on with me today, Rebecca, the founder of Bloom Womb. She is a cycle syncing coach. And today we're here to talk all about cycle syncing, womb wisdom, feminine energy, and so much more. She has an amazing Instagram account called Bloom Womb, which you guys have to check out. Maybe you guys have seen it because there's so much wisdom on there. But I'm so excited for her to be on today. So thank you so much for joining me, Rebecca.

Yeah, thank you so much for having me. I'm so excited to be here. So I want to just start off by asking you to shortly tell a little bit about yourself, how you got to where you are today and your story. Yeah. Well, how do I even start? So I would say when I first got into really learning more about menstrual cycles, I was like, womb wisdom and all that, I...

I really was very much disconnected to my feminine for a very long time because I was very much overworking myself in different businesses. And yeah, it was just just wasn't in my cyclical nature through that. It was very much in the hustle and grind culture.

And I burnt myself out through that. I took a year off from working because I was dealing with some health problems. And through that, it really led me to reclaim my feminine nature of just stepping more into the rest and the softness and allowing myself to really feel intuitively what I need and what my body needs. And through that, I started cycle syncing, um,

yeah, regulating my nervous system, really balancing out my hormones, all of that. And it changed my whole entire life, my whole entire perspective of the way that I viewed life kind of shifted through that. I was like, okay, this is life-changing for me. I know it's going to be life-changing for other women. And then I decided to make a career out of it. And so here we are. So yeah, it's been a beautiful journey, just really reclaiming my own feminine wisdom in that and now supporting other women to do the same.

It's so empowering, all of the things we're going to talk about today, but it's

I feel that I'll just like tell a little bit of my background with all of these, you know, concepts is I was also going through like a massive health struggle. I had a eating disorder and an ovarian cyst and I had really, really bad cystic acne. And I was in the ER like every other week. And I went to every doctor. They want to prescribe me all these pills. And it wasn't until I went to, um,

a Chinese herbalist doctor and an acupuncturist. And she had changed my life. I mean, she had exposed me to so much wisdom about cycle syncing and your womb and healing yourself from the inside out. And this is part of the reason that I reached out to you because I really believe in like all of these things that we're going to talk about today. And I think they are so powerful. And if every single woman knew about these things, then her life would change, you know?

Totally. Not even her life. Our whole world would change. Everything would shift through that because it really just will balance out this imbalance between the feminine and the masculine that we experience within our world. So yeah, it's such a beautiful thing that everyone can do for ourselves and it will shift her entire world. But in return, it really is such a service to the world as well when we bring that power back to ourselves in that way. Yeah.

Love that. So I really want to focus on womb wisdom because this is something that I honestly, I know a lot about cycle syncing. There's a past episode on the podcast about cycle syncing, but I think that's also kind of like your territory, womb wisdom, feminine energy. So I'd love to like to hear how can women connect more to our womb? Like what is our womb? What's the power of our womb? You know, there's so much misinformation about this that so many women don't even know about.

Yeah, totally. It's truly such a portal and we all start in the womb. Every one of us has started in the womb, which is so beautiful to think about. And the thing is with the womb is that most women will only connect with their womb or take notice of their womb and pay attention to it when they're menstruating, when they're bleeding, or when they're pregnant and giving birth. Those are like the only two points they're really

ever asked to pay attention to it. The other times within their life or within between their bleeds, they don't pay attention to it as much. And I think when it comes to really honoring your womb and connecting back to your womb, it's a practice of doing that consistently throughout every single day and, and,

One of the first steps to connecting with your womb is cycle syncing, cycle tracking. So what that looks like is tracking your cycle every single day. And that in itself is womb healing. It's such a simple practice, just connecting to your womb every single day and seeing, okay, what is happening within you?

me within my womb, within her, and how does that affect my inner and my outer world, and just tracking what you're feeling within that. That's like number, just basic step to connecting back to your womb is cycle tracking and cycle syncing. And then there's so many more layers with that. It's like, okay, if we have trauma in our womb or we have, yeah, any sort of imbalances within it to connect

There's, there's always, I'm just such a firm reliever that anything that starts within our physical body starts within our emotional body and our spiritual body first and foremost. And so womb healing can really allow us to tap into our emotional and our spiritual body because she does hold so much. She holds so much wisdom and the beautiful thing about the womb too, it's not just our wisdom that is held within our womb, but it's,

think about every single woman that has ever come before us and everyone that has, that will come after us will bleed. And we will all have that in common that we're all menstruating. We're all in the cyclical nature together. And there's this, there's this red thread that connects all of us through that. And so there's this ancient wisdom that we can tap into through connecting to our womb through womb healing and,

Yeah, and really just allowing ourselves to pay attention to what does she have to say because she and herself, like she can be a guide to us. I love she's a she. She's great. Yeah, but yeah.

Yeah, so I would say like if you're so new to connecting to your womb, practicing cycle tracking first and foremost, and then moving into any womb healing meditations or practices in that realm. And there's so many different modalities within that or just different types of meditation and practitioners within that. But I think number one step is really as simple as cycle tracking because that in itself connects you to your womb. Yeah.

It's so true because I honestly think, I think back like before all my health issues, I was in cycle tracking. I didn't even, I was just like, my period is coming in X amount of days and that's it. I didn't even know that there was four different phases of your cycle. And another practice that I thought of is,

is when I was healing my womb and I was healing my period because I had a terrible period it was very inconsistent it would come and go and I would get horrible like contraction like pains which is why I was in the ER because I actually couldn't move it like felt like I was going into labor from how bad all my symptoms were and how hormonally disbalanced I was

And I remember in the beginning, my doctor told me to like start speaking to my womb. And it felt so awkward at first so it's normal if like I feel like anyone listening might find this awkward at first but I remember I would literally sit on my bed like put my hands over my room and over my stomach and I would be like, it's safe for my period to come.

it's safe for my body to menstruate like it's safe for me to be healthy and I think just as you were talking that kind of that message brought up to me because I think it's so important for women also to feel safe in our bodies you know so many of us don't feel safe in our bodies and I'd love for you to touch on that yeah for sure yeah that is a huge thing when it comes to

Just women in general, like we're, I think growing up, we're taught to not feel safe in our bodies, diet culture, which can manifest in eating disorders or us just nitpicking at our bodies and thinking we have to be more here, less here, all of that. And that in itself does not feel like makes us not feel safe in our bodies. Right. Yeah. And with that too,

I think we also live in a world where there's so much, there's so many different resources and distractions and people telling me this is right, this is wrong. And so with that, it takes away from us really stepping into our intuition and really feeling, okay, what do I need? What does my body need? I'm unique. My womb is unique. All of this is my own responsibility to really understand what I need and

And, um, I think a lot of times we don't trust ourselves to fully know that for ourselves because we were never taught to do so. And yeah, like you were saying, so it's so true. So many women are so divorced to their, their bodies and their womb, and they're very much in their head. And it's very much also this like,

very, very much connected more to, to their masculine in that way. They're hyper-masculine versus like being connected to their body. And when you bring a woman back into her body, into her womb, it really brings her back into her feminine, into this, this, this like trusting innate state of knowing that she is safe, that she has her power within her. And it's so cliche to say, but it's so true that like this, this is where she finds her power. It's like within her, you know? And,

And through just connecting with your womb and really practicing cycle tracking and all of that,

it brings you back into your body. It brings you back into the safety and it really allows you to regulate your nervous system within all of it too. Because there's this container for your feminine to feel safe and cycle tracking and just like your cycle in general is the container for your feminine to feel safe. And so being able to give yourself that by really

tuning in to yourself throughout your cycle, throughout the month. And then also like what you were saying, like tuning into your womb and seeing what, what is she like, why are you having maybe irregular cycles or heavy bleeds or any imbalances within your cycle? Like what is your womb trying to tell you? And really noting that like womb care is life care and, and everything that starts within the womb is,

just, and if we're looking at it from like also a hormonal standpoint, your hormones are literally, they will dictate your whole entire life. They will dictate who you are in every area of your life. Whether it's the foods that you eat, like your appetite, whether it's the relationships that you choose, the way that you show up, your personality, like your hormones are you. And so when we're going back to our womb,

a lot of like our sex hormones are obviously a huge part of womb care. And so connecting to that and allowing ourselves to understand, okay, from a scientific level, this is really necessary so that I understand who I am hormonally, but then also like on a spiritual emotional level, my womb holds all of that. And so connecting to it on all these different levels is, it's just, is so necessary for your whole entire wellbeing.

Wow, I love that. And you know what that made me think about that our womb holds and stores energy, not just from us, but like what you said, like from bloodlines before our mother's energy and our grandmother and our great grandmother. It's this piece that holds us all together and it stores so much energy. And I think that's also probably why so many women experience so much

imbalance with their hormones and so many symptoms because I really do resonate with what you were saying that it's all on a spiritual level too as it is on a physical you know yeah I'm noting that maybe there's things that like imbalances within your womb within your cycle that aren't even really yours that you're carrying yet like you're saying there it is from your bloodline or your ancestral line or it's a collective thing too you know yeah

And you going like a woman who really honors her bleed and understands that her blood holds emotions with that. She allows herself like every time we menstruate, there's a process that happens within us where we get to release any, any stagnant emotions or traumas or collective energetics that just need to be released. And so we're, we're really,

not only for ourselves, allowing ourselves to create that release, but it's a collective thing or an ancestral thing too, which is so beautiful to think about. And if we really allow ourselves to tap into that, like there's so much magic that we can find through our bleed and not neglect the bleed. That's a big thing, obviously, that we experience too in this world, or we are taught to neglect our bleed or kind of shame it and hide it and all of that.

So really honoring it and knowing that there's so much potent magic and transformation that happens with your blade. No, you were actually reading my thoughts. I was just thinking about how so many women are

Our shame, like we say, oh, it's so she bleeds every month. It's shark week. She's grumpy right now. Like, you know, like so many women are society and men and not even blaming anyone else. Like it's all of us as a collective, but just the masculine society that we live in right now does matter.

put us in this position where we're shamed for certain things. And maybe you're not even shamed right now. But I remember I would, you know, like you feel embarrassed when you get your period when you're like 12. Like it's you're not really taught about it. You're not taught about it in schools. It's like all taboo information. And honestly, it's miraculous. It is pure magic. It's incredible. This power within us that we get to conceive life every single month

If it happens, obviously, but it's just having that, like knowing that this is where, where every human has ever started is within, within our womb and allowing ourselves to tap into that. And even if we're not conceiving an actual child using that energy for our lives and knowing that like, we're, we are such powerful beings in that, you know? But yeah, it is, it is such a,

Like women used to literally lead together. It was a sacred ritual every single month. And also the reason why we were able to all bleed together. It's like, yeah, women were syncing up within the communities, but also, yeah,

a lot of it like we used to bleed with the moon um because there's light that we had available um versus now we live in a world which is a lot of artificial light or we have our screens and that kind of can mess up with our circadian rhythm and so women don't fully bleed with the moon as much anymore but back in the olden days that's the only light that sort that they had and so it was this beautiful ritual where they all come together and bleed together and in

Nowadays, we just have very much stepped away from it being a ritual. That's, I think, one of the biggest things when it comes to just menstrual cycle awareness is allowing yourself to create rituals around it again and knowing that it's such a sacred thing, you know. Maybe you can give one ritual that you like to do each season of your cycle. In this election, we each face a question. What kind of country do we want to live in?

We choose freedom, the freedom, not just to get by, but get ahead. The freedom to make decisions about your own body. We believe in the promise of America and we're ready to fight for it because when we fight, we win. I'm going to keep running because the winner don't quit on themselves. Paid for by Harris for president. There's so many. It really depends on the cycle too, because sometimes I like implement different ones, but yeah,

um, my one of my, what I do every single cycle is right when I start bleeding, I set intentions of what I want to let go with my blood, um, whether it's emotional, energetics, whatever it may be. And that can either be from like this last cycle of just like this last cycle, I was, these things were coming up. So I'm letting go of that or just like

something that is more of like with like a theme that's coming up throughout my life and I'm with every bleed maybe releasing a little bit of it whatever it may be um so really setting those intentions of like okay what is what do I want to release with my blood and then when I feel myself kind of coming out of my really deep inner winner and being more um

Like at the end of my bleed, I'll set intentions of what I want to bring in with this next cycle, because I'm about to come into inner spring. And just knowing that this is all about new beginnings, setting intentions, planting seeds and setting intentions of what it is that I want to welcome in with this next cycle. And so for me, I don't use, I mean, obviously I use the calendar because we, I need to use the calendar for work purposes or life purposes, but I,

when it comes to like setting goals or intentions I use my my cycle to do that and really use my bleed as a sacred time where I go more in stillness and inward I don't leave my house really for two days and I know that not every woman is able to do that because you know life happens work happens you have a family to take care of I'm I have the privilege to set my own schedule so I

really try to just have two days of being by myself at home hermiting. So that's a big ritual for me. Yeah. And then there's obviously a little other rituals I include too, but that's like what I do every single, every single lead is setting intentions for what I'm letting go and what I'm calling in. I love that. And I also, something that I do is when I'm ovulating, I,

is I just think it's the most amazing time for any creative endeavors. Like,

The week of my I'm ovulating right now, the week of my ovulation, I've got like as many meetings as I'm able to do. And just really like anything that I need to be productive about. This is like an amazing week because if you think about it, your eggs are trying to find sperm so that you can, you know, create life, but you can use that creative energy, not just for a child, but also for your own life, like a project, an idea, a business, you know,

Which is actually leading me to my next question to you. How can women be in their feminine energy and connected to their cycle while in business? Because I think

you know, it's easier said than done to be aligned with our cycle and do all these rituals when we don't have as many responsibilities. But I also do believe that it's all balanced and we can achieve both. So I would love to hear about that. Sure. Yeah. I mean, I'm, I have my own business and I'm obviously the biggest proponent when it comes to cycle thinking and living with your cycle. And I really, um,

I understand that the first half of my cycle is more about taking action and being more in my masculine in that way. It's really the yang energy. Like if we're looking at from a yin yang perspective, it's like that yang energy where we're more outward, more social, we're taking more action. We have more energy. And then the second half of my cycle is more the inward energy, more needing more time to slow down a little more and doing things that aren't as outward, more yin energy. So yeah,

Really the way that I, if I, and this doesn't happen every cycle, you know, it's like something that you have to be really intentional about, but the more intentionality you can bring into it and the more awareness you bring into it, the easier it then gets when it comes to really bringing your cycle into your business.

But I think the main thing to focus on is understanding that your follicular phase, your ovulation phase is for doing all the things that you might need to be more social for, whether it's like you were saying, like being on calls, taking action, like bigger action steps within your business, maybe launching something. Maybe it's about creating posts in this, like filming, creating posts, content during this time, etc.

And really using that time to do all those things in your business. And so maybe it's as simple as you writing a list of things that you have to get done this cycle, this month, then kind of like delegating it to each of your cycle phases in that way. That's something that I like to do when I know I have a lot of things to do. And I'm like, okay, how can I delegate it to my different cycle phases? And like what energy is needed for what?

And then your second half of your cycle, especially your luteal phase, especially the second half of your luteal phase is very much about being more inward and slowing down more. And so this is really when we're doing more of like the admin tasks, maybe bookkeeping tasks, like anything that's more like backend stuff where we're not having to be as outward and just

getting like things done, tying up loose ends. Um, that's very much for the luteal. So those are just like some practical things that we can implement with like cycle syncing and business. And just knowing that there is this, yeah, that, that you have, it doesn't mean that you just don't take any action. You're just like constantly resting in your constantly in your like passive feminine. Like we don't want to just be in that. Obviously the feminine is also about the power of the fire, the, uh,

um taking initiative for what she wants like that's also being in your feminine there's there's a balance within that the thing that a lot of times we do too much of is in business is we don't give ourselves an um

the right amount of rest. And there's this productivity anxiety that comes with that. And that's what we're trying to avoid. So how can we know that we're getting things done as well as giving ourselves the time and space to rest and recover when we need it? Because women, especially we are, we need that more than men do. And that in itself is productive, knowing that rest and taking a step back and just being in,

and just like just being and not doing anything, um, or taking action, being outward in that way is productive for us. Cause that will then help us, um, when we are like, it will give us more energy for when we are going, um, or we're taking action again and we're, we're outward again. So just like understanding that our cycle is really such a beautiful way to, um,

give ourselves permission to step in our, like move between those polarities of our masculine and feminine and really honor our feminine and knowing that a feminine led business is

does not only mean we're not doing anything and we're just resting all the time. It's like there's a balance in it, obviously. So yeah, those are just some few practical things. Yeah, and just really good, again, giving yourself permission to take a step back and rest when needed, I think is one of the biggest things for women. Rest is so needed. I think, you know, that big study that says like human needs seven to eight hours of sleep.

I read like a month ago that that study was only conducted on men. Women need more sleep. And after I read that, I was like, this makes so much sense because when I get seven hours of sleep, I feel better.

not good I don't feel like myself I need like eight and a half hours nine hours especially around your luteal phase you need more more sleep during your flicking your ovulation phase you need like nine to ten hours of sleep in leading into your bleed so you need more sleep in the second half of your cycle as well so yeah it's really honoring honoring that for ourselves and it's it's not just like oh we're a woman and we we need to rest and lazy

Yeah, like that's not what it's about. It's like hormonally, you need that so that you can thrive. Like on a scientific level, you need more sleep and not, if we're not honoring that, it will lead to burnout, it will lead to health problems and just being...

We want to take care of ourselves. And so that's really vital for sure. I love that. It's so true. But I also had another question. So this is a question where I put my Instagram poll and a lot of people ask this is thoughts on birth control and also cycle syncing with birth control, like your opinions, does it work, all of that.

Yeah. Okay. So, all right. So there's different types of birth control. When we're talking about the pills specifically, I think birth control, there's a time and place for birth control. I think there's a time and place for Western medicine with, you know, with anything. It's like, there's, it's, it's a blessing that we have Western medicine. You know, there's,

a lot of times when it does save lives or it makes our lives more convenient, easier. And I also think the shadow side of Western medicine is that a lot of time it can be a bandaid solution or it doesn't go to the root cause. And that's something I don't love about Western medicine and also birth control, birth control, if you're using it. And it obviously depends on the intention of birth control. But if we're, we're looking at from a standpoint of trying to heal our,

um, any cycle imbalances, painful periods, anything that's going on with that, it is a bandaid solution and, and, um, it's not going to actually heal the root cause from that. So I be necessary for a woman to go on birth control, to just like kind of take a break from anything that's really painful. And I totally support that, but then also know, okay, how can we, like, if we're coming off of birth control, knowing that like,

our hormones aren't just going to be magically balanced. There's, there's, yeah, like we're, we're needing to then look at what's going on hormonally. How can we regulate that? And so again, just knowing that it's a bandaid solution, it won't actually heal the root cause. Yeah.

That's one of the reasons why I'm not a fan of birth control because it won't do that for you. It won't actually heal what needs to be healed. And then when we're looking at when we're using birth control for contraception methods, I think...

There's just ways to track your cycle that is just as effective at birth control. And it's not going to harm your body in the long run. And if you really learn how to track your cycle through the fertility awareness method, it's just as safe. You just have to really understand the fertility awareness method and be really mindful with it and really...

say it again aura ring have you heard of that yeah so you can use the aura ring with natural cycles but I believe the aura ring only tracks your basal body temperatures right yeah no I don't use it but I have heard of it

So when it comes to the fertility awareness method, one of the main things that we're tracking is our cervical mucus and cervical mucus will tell us if we're in our fertile window or not within our cycle. And we really only have like five to six days of the month that we can get pregnant. And so if we're tracking that accurately, then why do we need to take a pill every single day? Right.

That's kind of my take when it comes to the contraception reason. And like, I get it that there's women out there that they feel like they don't have the time or the, it feels inconvenient to track your cycle. But I think that if we start understanding that

the inconvenience in tracking your cycle is like the problem here that we're, when we're like the fact that that's a mindset of like, it's inconvenient to track my cycle. That means that you're almost putting yourself into this like box of like, it's inconvenient for me to honor my, my feminine nature. And so that's, yeah. And so that in itself is a whole other topic, obviously. But so when it comes to birth control, if you're on birth control,

And whatever reason you're on, I know that the second part of the question was like, how can I cycle track with birth control? What does that look like?

obviously depends on the kind of birth control you're on but when you're on the pill what happens to your cycle is you're essentially experienced the exact same um the same amount of hormones being released through the form that you're taking every single day with the pill and so your cycle is very much looking like it's just hormonally it's the same thing every single day versus on a

average let's say like 28 day cycle for a woman that's very much not the case you have estrogen rising in the first half of the cycle progesterone the second half of the cycle and so this is why we feel so different within the first half of the second half of our cycle because there's a lot of different other hormones at play and with there's just that consistent every single day depending on what hormonal birth control you're on a lot of them is is just a progesterone um

And so you're experiencing just like the same surge of progesterone every single day that essentially tells your body, okay, we don't have to create or we don't have to ovulate because we're in, we're in, we're past ovulation phase.

And so when, when it comes to cycle tracking, there's obviously not much to track when it comes to your hormones, because there's very much every single day. However, I always tell women that like, you have a womb, you're, you are a cyclical being, you are a woman that doesn't just because you're on the pill or on a certain type of birth control doesn't mean that you're completely separate and divorced from that. It's within you. It's totally within you.

And so I always suggest tracking with the moon and using the moon phases to really just connect back to that cyclical nature. And that in itself will just allow you to tap back into that.

the cyclical being that you are even if you're on birth control so using the moon as um reference for that your new moon the new moon being day one of your cycles would be like when you would be bleeding and then the um full moon would be ovulation so just using that as kind of your baseline if you're going to start cycle tracking just in the again the

The intention behind it is just to connect to your cyclical nature as a woman because it's within you. It's so within you. Just a matter of allowing yourself to tap into that. Yeah.

So much wisdom. I love that. And it really is true that birth control is a bandaid solution. And I feel like just my story is proof of that. I did not go on birth control. I was able, I had horrible cystic acne, so many like wound problems, and I was able to heal it

completely, fully, I'm the healthiest I've ever been without birth control. Now, it's the longer route. It takes more, you know, effort and more of a commitment. But then you're actually healing the problem from the root because the problem with birth control is you go on it, you can't be on it for like 10 years, and then you have to get off of it. And then the problem is

Comes back up again, because what you said about the hormone levels, essentially what birth control does, and I feel like so many women are just not even aware to it, it's just like a pill to them, is it makes your body so hormonally unbalanced that you can't ovulate.

And ovulation is the biggest sign of health in a woman. So I really do also understand. I have a lot of friends that are on birth control for different reasons. And I think every probably case with every woman is different.

But I think it's also important to ask ourselves, like, as women, are we in it just like what you said? Are we using it just because it's convenient? Or is it like a really deep rooted problem that, again, Western medicine can service with? Because if you're just using it for convenience, then it's kind of stripping you away from your feminine energy and from your connection to your womb because it's

It's just like a band-aid solution, you know? It gets prescribed carelessly. And that's my biggest thing with birth control. I'm like, why can't we educate women on their cycles, on their womb, and teach them how to cycle track, teach them, and even like going back to like,

okay, if you're having cycle imbalances, let's look at the natural way to heal it first and foremost before we're going to the band-aid solution or just, there's just very, very little education around the other option before giving birth control. It's so sad when you Google like how to heal X, Y, and Z within your menstrual cycle, first thing will pop up, birth control. That's not how you heal it. And you were just saying maybe,

the longer route is healing the root cause, but actually that's the shorter route because the longer route is being on birth control for X amount of time. And then you come off and there's still more to heal. There's cause you never healed it. So the birth control is actually the longer route. You're just,

kind of resisting and neglecting looking at the root problem in that very moment and again everyone is different there's a reason for why they might be in go home birth control it's not to shame anyone but I just really really really highly recommend looking at all of your other options and educating yourself before just choosing the pill because it really like I was saying earlier too you

your hormones affect every single area in your life. It affects your whole entire, like every decision that you make for yourself too. And so when you're on birth control, you are suppressing your hormones. So you are suppressing yourself in ways too.

And that in return affects your whole entire life and the way that you make decisions in your life. And a lot of women will come off birth control and they're like, they will even feel really lost because they're like, wait, why did I make all these decisions? Why am I with this partner? Why have I chosen these things for myself? I had a conversation with one of my best friends and she was on birth control for like five years and

and then she had like a whole cycle sinking healing journey she realized a lot about the pill and everything and she was saying like how her like her taste in men completely changed once she got off the pill like the men she was attracted to while she was on the pill when she got off the pill and like really balanced herself hormonally like she was attracted to completely different men and I think

It really is so interesting. Like what you said, it's not about shaming anyone because everyone is on their own path. And I do feel like there's a place for Western medicine. But I think the issue is, is so many women just blindly, like they're 14 years old, they have a cramp, they go to the doctor pill from 14 years old and you're on it for years. Yeah. And it's nutrients are totally depleted through the pill.

because you're not really also understanding that your cycle and like you were saying earlier too, it's like ovulation, a healthy ovulation, a healthy cycle is like the foundation of a woman's wellbeing and health. And if that isn't like your fertility is your health. And if we're not taking care of your fertility and we're suppressing it with a pill, think about all the other side effects that will happen in the long run. And you coming off there's, yeah, your body's,

if you've been on birth control since like you started bleeding or you started like age 14, 15, and that's been like maybe a decade of you being on birth control. Now you're like wanting to have children.

Your body is like relearning how to ovulate and that in itself comes with so many different things too. But yeah, it's wild. It's wild on what the side effects are. And like you're saying with your friend, how her taste in men changed. Like we're attracted to more feminine men on birth control. Yes. That's what she said. It's so wild to hear that. Yeah, that your friend literally went through that. But it's amazing.

Um, so yeah, just again, main thing with birth control, educate yourself on it before you to make that decision to go on it. Um, and yeah, really see what your options are. I feel like it should always be the last resort with birth control. Yeah.

And if you're on it right now, you can still educate yourself on it. Because I mean, you can always make a change to your health and your life and your body. And I wanted to share about like for contraception methods. There's I have heard of the oil ring. I have heard of the fertility method. But if you're based in the US, there is something called Phexy. I don't know if you've heard of it.

It's non-hormonal. It's basically, it kind of looks like a tampon, but there's gel in it. And before like you're intimate with someone, you just push it up. You push the gel in, you take out the tube and it changes your pH levels for around an hour. So, but it doesn't change your hormones. It's like a natural birth control. And it just came out a couple of years ago and it's,

My mom had actually gone to the TED talk of the women who like released it. And it's really an amazing story. And I've personally used it and I, and I love it as a product. And I mean, it doesn't change your hormones. So I think like if you're based in the U S just also research that because it's an amazing option that allows you to stay connected to your cycle, but also not have like, you know, this fear when you're intimate with a partner.

Totally. I've not heard of that. That sounds cool, though. It sounds a little bit like the diaphragm and having the

Yeah. There's, there's like the diaphragm is, do you leave it up there or? No, no, no. So it's kind of like a lube. We're getting, we're getting real girl talk, but it's literally a lube. Like it comes in a tube that looks like a tampon and you like use it to push it up. And then you kind of like the way you would push a tampon in, but it's gel. There's no, it's not. That's why I mentioned it. Cause it's not like the diaphragm that like stays up there and it changes your pH levels. Like,

you cannot get pregnant like 98% chance for those an hour. So for everyone listening, the reason why we want to change our, or why the change of pH level makes you safe to then like have sex and, um, have sperm be present is because sperm cannot survive in, in a, um, like they will die in an acidic environment. And so our vagina in general is actually a very hostile place for sperm. Um,

It really is. The only reason sperm can survive is because cervical mucus is present. And that's why we're tracking cervical mucus. And cervical mucus is more alkaline than our pH balance of our vagina. And so I guess that lube creates in the acidic environment, I'm guessing, so that the sperm can't survive. So that's really cool.

You can do some research on that. Yeah, you should check it out. And for any girls, I think it's only in the US right now, but it's an amazing option. Like I actually stand by it. Definitely check it out. And I'd love to ask you one last question. And that is, what is one piece of advice you would give women who are just starting out their feminine energy cycle syncing journey?

one piece um even a two if you feel like it i'm gonna think what what would i share i think the biggest thing when we're coming into just i guess learning about your cycle and like the menstrual awareness um menstruality awareness journey that comes with just cycle tracking and syncing and learning more about your own menstrual um menstrual cycle than all that um

I think one of the biggest things to know is that your cycle is so different than any other woman's cycle out there. And everything that you see on the internet, there's so much information on the internet. Like you'll feel this way and then you'll feel this way and you should be doing this here and this here. And like, yes, but also these are all just guidelines for you. The biggest thing, and this is why I,

I love to teach women about cycle tracking and I teach them about the different phases and like how these different phases can support them and how you can support the phases. But the main thing about cycle tracking is we're like the intention behind it is we're bringing you back into your own body to intuitively feel what is right for you and what your body needs. And that's the

my, my, my main intention was cycle tracking and teaching women about this. It's not to tell you what's right or what's wrong, the do's and the don'ts. Like that's not what it's about. It's about bringing you back into your body. And so really when you're coming into this journey, knowing that your cycle is going to be so unique, it's your own unique pattern, your own unique rhythm and tapping into that and like

being, acknowledging that no one is able to relate to your cycle the way that you will, and really honoring that for yourself and thinking that, and really just listening to the, like the intuitive nudges within your body is I think the most important thing here. There's no rights or wrong. It's what feels good to you. And again, we're just using cycle tracking and cycle syncing as, as,

a tool to bring you back into your body so that you can really learn what that looks like. Cause again, so many women have never learned how to do that. They don't trust their bodies. And so that's the main of that. So I think that's when we're, if you're just starting really just honoring that for yourself and I call it, we call it the big red rule that every, your cycle is going to be different. Every single one of your own cycles to like my cycle last month, it's going to look different than my cycle this month. Um,

Um, because there's different things that happen within our lives and that every cycle will always be a little different. So just honoring that and, um, yeah, and keeping, keeping just really being intentional with, with yourself in that way. So, yeah. Love it. It's all about coming home to yourself.

It really is. It always is. Beautiful souls. Thank you so much for joining me in today's episode. As always, I will talk to you next week. Bye.
