吉米老师前言：**people 和 person 都是人的意思，那三个人到底是 three people 还是 three persons 呢？
三个人用英语怎么说？** person 是一个人，persons 和 people 都是它的复数形式。但是 persons 这一复数形式更正式，法律文书和官方文件使用的多是 persons. people 的意思是人们，person 更强调个体，而 people 强调的是集体。 其实，three people 和 three persons 这两种表达都可以使用，但我们要根据不同的情境使用。 强调个人时，三个人就是 three persons；强调整体的时候，我们要说 three people. 大家一起通过这两个句子来理解吧。 There are 40 students in our class,but only three people passed the exam .** 我们班有40名学生，但只有三个人通过了这次考试 The three persons often play badminton after school.** 他们三个人放学后经常一起打羽毛球。

third person不是第三者** Third person 不是第三者，而是语法中的第三人称，she、he、it 和 they 都属于third person. 第三者一般用 mistress 或 home-wrecker 表达。 mistress [ˈmɪstrəs] n.情妇；女主人 home-wrecker [hoʊm ˈrekər] n.破坏别人家庭的人 mistress 是情妇的意思，wrecker 是破坏者，第三者正是破坏别人家庭的人，应该受到良心的谴责，第三者的英语就是 home-wrecker。 the other man/woman 第三者 众所周知，婚姻和爱情是两个人之间的事，第三者就是其他的人，所以 the other man 和 the other woman 也是第三者。 In my opinion,it is immoral to become a home-wrecker.** 在我看来，做第三者是不道德的。
