American charged with theft from vehicles
Stephen Francis Galli, a 49-year-old American was charged with theft from several cars in San Gijljan. Galli denied the charges brought against him where he pleaded not guilty to stealing a "handbag" from a parked car, owned by Pamela Baldacchino.
The incident happened after noon on February 16 of this year. Galli, according to the Prosecution, was caught by the CCTV cameras committing the robbery. He was also charged with becoming a repeat offender.
Magistrate Ian Farrugia did not accept the request for provisional freedom from the defense with the American being sent to the Kordin Detention Facility. The Prosecution was led by Inspector Trevor Micallef.
