The Catholic faith represents the most complex, consistent, and complete system of ideas among all the competing philosophies of humanity. It is a veritable cathedral of human thought. The Catholic Church teaches that God loves us so much that he sent his only Son to die for our sins and rise again for our salvation. An exhibition about the Holy Week called Pesah
The Maria Mater Gratiae Philharmonic Society of Żabbar will put on an exhibition about the Holy Week called Pesah which will open on Wednesday.
In this exhibition will be exposed the largest frame with colored semolina. Through this frame, the Maria Mater Gratiae Philharmonic Society is making an attempt to establish a national and international record in the category of the largest work of art made entirely of semolina.
In a news conference, which took place in the Club of the Society, more details about this framework were announced by the President of the Society Joe Saliba. Present for the news conference was the Parliamentary Secretary Stefan Buontempo.
The gigantic frame, made entirely of semolina by Mario Aquilina, shows a scene from Jesus' walk with the cross on his way to Golgotha. The painting is a representation of a painting from the Via Sagra by the Spanish artist Yzquierda, exhibited in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Peoria in Illinois, in Chicago, United States.
The figures worked in the square are bigger than real people and more than 120 different shades of color were used to make them. It is also calculated that this square has a weight of more than 200 kilograms in semolina and color.
