For the third consecutive year a number of students of the Naxxar Secondary School are taking part in an activity in which they decorate Easter figs to later sell them for charitable purposes.
The activity consists of decorating around 200 figs provided by Golden Harvest by the students under the guidance of a confectioner from the same company.
The students of San Nikola College who are taking part from the 1st and 3rd year of Secondary and the ideas after the tenth are being left completely to their imagination.
After in the last two years this annual activity collected funds for Puttinu Cares and for the Malta Community Chest Fund, this year the teachers who took this initiative decided that the money collected will go to the Hospice, a movement that helps people sick with cancer and their relatives.
The figs will be sold next week at Daniels Shopping Complex in Hamrun by the students themselves.
