⚫ BlackRock has officially entered Europe's cryptocurrency exchange-traded product (ETP) market with the launch of its highly anticipated physically backed Bitcoin strategy. It is called iShares Bitcoin ETPThe iShares Bitcoin ETP (IB1T) debuts with a total expense ratio (TER) of 0.15%, which will increase to 0.25% at the end of the year once the temporary fee waiver expires. ⭕ RWA protocols have reached $10.216 billion in TVL, led by Maker RWA ($1.298B), BlackRock BUIDL ($1.232B), and Ethena USDtb ($1.182B), which together account for 36% of the total. BlackRock’s BUIDL, a tokenized money market fund, holds $373M, while other funds like Franklin Templeton’s BENJI and Ondo Finance’s OUSG are growing. Interest in tokenized RWAs, such as treasury bonds and stablecoins, is rising, with Ethena USDtb’s TVL increasing by 1,000% in the past month. Analysts predict RWAs will surpass $50 billion by 2025. 🚨 Kentucky’s new law protects crypto self-custody, exempts mining and staking from securities laws, and blocks local restrictions. The state is also considering a 10% Bitcoin reserve. Nationwide, 19 states are exploring Bitcoin reserves, while Montana and others have rejected similar efforts.
