⚡Federal prosecutors want Alex Mashinsky, ex-CEO of Celsius, to serve 20 years for leading a fraud that caused $7 billion in losses. He misled users about fund safety and manipulated the CEL token for personal gain. At Celsius’s peak in 2021, it held over $20 billion in assets, but prosecutors say the company made risky moves, issued uncollateralized loans, and misused customer funds—all while falsely promoting safety and transparency. The DOJ calls it a “deliberate, calculated” scheme.
Sentencing is set for May 8.
🚨Nasdaq Seeks Approval to List 21Shares Dogecoin ETF
❗Nasdaq has filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for a rule change to list a 21Shares Dogecoin ETF, which would track the meme coin’s price. Bitwise and Grayscale have also filed for similar Dogecoin ETFs, with the SEC already reviewing Grayscale Investments’s application. All three firms aim to offer commodity-based trusts, while Rex Shares may beat them to market with a separate 40 Act Dogecoin ETF, which has a faster 75-day review window. -Official TRUMP and MELANIA Tokens Dominate $3.3B PolitiFi Market
The official TRUMP and MELANIA tokens now command 95% of the $3.3 billion PolitiFi market, effectively wiping out older meme coins. Since launching in January 2025, TRUMP has reached a $2.97B market cap, while MELANIA sits at $180.4M. Meanwhile, early Politifi tokens like unofficial TRUMP (maga), BODEN, TREMP, and KAMA have collapsed—some by over 98%, with liquidity nearly vanishing.
❗Trump still holds 579,290 of the unofficial TRUMP tokens, once worth $10M, now valued at just $118K. His largest crypto holding is TROG, another airdrop, worth about $915K—none of which he’s ever moved.
