🚨 U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filed a lawsuit against Coinbase, the filings here https://lnkd.in/dr4czEgj
- SEC Charges Coinbase for Operating as an Unregistered Securities Exchange,
- Broker, and Clearing Agency Coinbase also charged for the unregistered offer and sale of securities in connection with its staking-as-a-service program.

💡 Because of this news, Coinbase stock has plunged 20%

🔥 But there’s more A task force comprising 10 state security regulators from Alabama, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, South Carolina, Vermont, Washington and Wisconsin issued a Show Cause Order against Coinbase. Official order here https://lnkd.in/d9Za95ai

🚨 The order gives Coinbase 28 days to show cause why they should not be directed to cease and desist from selling unregistered securities in Alabama

🥶 The U.K. prime minister’s AI task force adviser said large AI models would need regulation and control in the next two years to curb major existential risks. They partnered with Datachain, a blockchain interoperability company, and Toki, a cross-chain bridge, to allow the interoperation of these licensed stablecoins along several blockchains using its Progmat Coin protocol.
