I am so excited for this new year and this episode. Okay, this, are you even ready? This episode is your exclusive new year, new you episode for 2024. We are talking how to set goals, the numerology of 2024, how to set healthy habits, creating vision boards, and all the mindset shifts that you need for 2024. So this podcast episode is basically gonna be your roadmap,

to taking on this new year headstrong, with good energy, with self-love, with intention. And I'm going to basically teach you and share with you all the things that I do, all the wisdom, all the insights that I have for this new year to help you set the best foundation for this upcoming 2024 so that you can grow, elevate your life, and become your best self.

So let's get into it. First thing that I want to share with you is the motto for this upcoming new year that I'm taking with me and I would love it if you join me because I think this motto is so powerful and it's really going to help you hone the energy of the new year. This is the motto. 2023 made you strong and now 2024 is all about making you happy.

This is the motto that I'm going into this new year with and I really, really encourage you and I want to empower you to take it too. And let me tell you why. Whatever that you went through in 2023, a heartbreak, a failure, a rejection, a loss, a big change in your life, whatever it was in your life in 2023 that held you back,

I want you to realize that those things, those situations, those experiences, those people that you lost, that you went through in 2023, it was all to make you stronger. And now you are going to step into 2024 with new energy, with a new foundation, with new intention. And this year is all about making you happy.

This year is all about abundance. It's about new opportunities, new doors, opening new experiences. Two to four, like 2024 adds up to eight, eight and eight is the number of abundance and prosperity and expansion. Whenever we have an even number and numerology that is for expansion. When you have an odd number, like the year 2023, that usually signifies change. And so maybe for a lot of you guys, and I can test to myself,

2023 was a lot of change. It was a lot of inner work, a lot of shadow work, a lot of challenges, obstacles, a lot of triggers for me. And that is because 7223 adds up to the energy of change. Whenever we have odd numbers in numerology, it's all about change.

When you have an even year, 8 for 2024, that is a year for expansion. This is the year where you will start seeing so many good things that you've been wanting in your life come into fruition. And so I really, really encourage you that that's the type of energy that you bring into your environment and into your reality as you step into this new year. Do not let the

past hold you back any longer when they say new new year new me like that's not about going to the gym and drinking more water like it is about the energy your aura your intentions and the way that you view your life your mindset and if you can work on those things throughout the

new year and not just like those physical habits that aren't necessarily sustainable and we'll get into habits but when you make habits that don't have a good intention behind it they're not sustainable and so it's so important to first look at the energy how are you approaching this new year and so that's why I encourage you to see that this year is all about you it's about making you happy it's about bringing more joy and abundance into your life it is a bad expansion and you have to claim that for yourself.

So let's get a little bit into the numerology of 2024 and the astrology to kind of set the foundation for this year. And then I want to get into mindset, habits, and all of those good things. So as I mentioned earlier, 2024 adds up to 8th.

And eight, often in numerology, is actually associated with the divine feminine. So as most of my audience is women, I encourage you to use this year to tap into your feminine energy, to tap into your nurturness, into your creativity, into your

into your ability to transform yourself and your emotions. And really for me, I'm feeling like this is also the year of intuition. This is a year where you start listening more to your heart and less to your logic. And I'm not saying like be crazy to Lulu and like do crazy things that have no backing behind them.

But I am saying, tune in more into your heart this year. If in 2023 you led a lot with your mind and you stayed in your comfort zone and you didn't take the action steps that you really knew that you were meant to take, let 2024 be the year that you step out of that comfort zone, that you trust your soul, that you trust your heart to lead, that you let your intuition be your compass. Try new things. Tap into that feminine energy.

And now eight in numerology also symbolizes abundance, like I mentioned. So this is a year where, honestly, what I'm feeling is you can expect a wave of a lot of opportunities. This is going to be a year where a lot of things are going to come kind of out of nowhere for you. And I want to know, like, throughout the year, let me know, message me later in a couple of months, let me know if, like, my predictions were correct. But I genuinely feel...

Like this is the year where all the changes and all the things that you went through in 2023, you've been integrating them and now you can expand. Now you're getting ready to receive. So maybe that relationship that you've been calling in, maybe this is the year that it comes in after you've done all the inner work.

or maybe that new step in your business is going to come into your life or new friendships or new travel opportunities, whatever it is, whatever it is that your heart wants. This is the year where you have to be ready and open to receive it. This is a year where I genuinely feel that if 2023 was kind of like a hit in the slap in the face, like it was for me, I have to say like, as I'm reflecting back on 2023, there were a lot of wonderful things that happened in 2023 in my life, of course, but

But I do feel that as a whole the theme of this year for me was inner work This was the year that a lot of triggers came to surface for me a lot of the things like fears and limiting beliefs They all came up to surface for me and this 2023 was really a year for me that pushed me To get to know myself on an even deeper level to get to know my triggers my fears my past and

to really dive deeper into myself. And of course, we're all on a spiritual journey. We're always doing the inner work. But I do feel like some phases in your life and some time periods are more for learning and growing. And some time periods are more for expansion and receiving. For me, 2023 was a year of a lot of triggers and a lot of lessons. And this year in 2024, I made the conscious decision and choice that I have done so much inner work. I've done so much integration. And this is going to be the year where I'm receiving all the fruits of my labor. And if you're kind of in that same energy where 2023 was a challenging year for you emotionally, mentally, spiritually,

then I invite you to allow this new year to be a new leaf for you, a new page, a new opening, and set that intention with me together. Like set this intention and tell yourself 2024 is my year. 2024 is my year for expansion, for new energy, for new gifts and blessings, and I am ready universe. I

I am ready to receive them. Now I want to get into the goal setting aspect of this episode because obviously everyone that, you know, is in the new years that's on some sort of self-development path uses the new year as an opportunity to set new goals for themselves.

And by the way, I don't think that you just have to do it during the new year. I mean, I think you can do this at any point in your life. You can always start over. You can always start fresh wherever you are. And that's the amazing thing about life and this human experience. But I think learning how to create goals that are efficient but also aligned is such an important aspect because I see what I see with a lot of people, and this is also an old version of myself, right?

is when the new year came around, basically throughout the whole year, I wouldn't do anything. And then the new year came around and then I decided, okay, I'm going to completely change my life. I'm going to completely become a new person.

and I was having like an identity crisis and then I would like take a notebook and make a list of every single self-development goal or practice that I could add into my life so I'm like okay I'm gonna run once a week I'm gonna drink a gallon of water I'm gonna wake up at 5 a.m I am gonna go on a hog girl walk and listen to one podcast every morning and just literally I would just list any single goal that came to my mind that I thought was wellnessy or self-development

And what would happen is I would do those goals for a week or two and then I would get burnt out and they wouldn't sustain themselves. And I would just give up because I think, oh, if I give up on this goal, then I'm never going to continue. I'm not going to start back up.

And so I think it's really important to learn how to set goals that are sustainable in the long term and that will help you accomplish the results and the manifestations that you want in your life in the long term. So one of my friends, Vera, she always says, slow and steady wins the race. And I think that's something so important. And so I want to kind of teach you guys what I do to set goals for myself that really help me. And this is the type of stuff, like the goals that I'm setting,

or the things that have helped me manifest everything that I've wanted in my life.

my friendships, the podcast, my TikTok community, my home, like everything that I've ever manifested is I do the same routine and the same goals. believe so much in all the information and the value that I've put into that masterclass and I know that anyone in that masterclass is gonna come out of it creating the podcast of their dream and completely transformed. So self promo really quick but I had to tell you guys about it because you guys always ask me questions about the podcast and this is why I created this masterclass. It's for you. So how do we set good goals?

I like to use the SMART system, which stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. And this is basically like different categories that help you define clear objectives and step-by-step to creating goals that are sustainable.

So the first aspect is specific. This is where you want to clearly define what you want to achieve. So you want to be really precise and detailed about your goal. You want to ask yourself the why. Why do you want to accomplish this goal? Why is it important? Who do I need to involve? Where is this going to take place? What resources do I need to accomplish this goal? You really want to get clear on the why.

That's your first aspect of it, the specific. Then we get into the measurable. This is going to help you establish a concrete measure

measuring progress towards the attainment of this goal. So this is going to help you quantify your goal. Basically, you want to be able to quantify your goal whenever possible because that's going to help you track your progress. And so I don't really like to say like, oh, in five days or in six weeks, I'm going to achieve this goal. But I like to say like, okay, by the time that I feel this way or by the time...

that I accomplished this, then I know that I have taken a reasonable and amazing step towards the life that I want. And so I don't really like to get too specific with it and like over limit myself, but I do like to set myself some form of measure that can help me track my progress. Then comes the achievable aspect.

which is you want to ensure that the goal that you're setting for yourself right off the bat is attainable. So it should be challenging. It should be out of your comfort zone. It can even be a little bit delulue, but it shouldn't be impossible. And that way, the reason that I say that, because you guys know that I always encourage the delulue, because may all your delulue come true-lulue.

But I think that when you set more attainable goals for yourself with a slight bit of deluliness in them, that can actually help you push yourself towards higher levels. So I'll give you an example. If you just started your podcast and you tell yourself, okay, in the first month, I want to have a million downloads.

That's very, very delulule. Is it attainable for some people? Yes, it's not impossible. But is it going to be very challenging to attain? Also yes. And by setting that goal, I'm not going to tell yourself, oh, you can't do it, but

But if you don't achieve it in the first month, that's going to disappoint you and that's going to lead you to not believe in yourself. So you want to set a goal for yourself that's challenging, that's out of your comfort zone, but that's also possible with where you are now so that when you achieve it, that gives you a boost of motivation, of inspiration, of energy to set a higher goal for yourself. So for instance, when I started the podcast, something that I did is, okay, I'm going to

I want to set when I literally had zero downloads a month, I set myself, okay, in the next two to three months, I want to be able to get to 1000 downloads a month. Now looking back, that's not a lot at all for where I am now. But when I started the podcast, that was something that

also seemed really challenging to attain at the time. And so I was working towards that goal, which now may seem small, but back then seemed very lofty to me. And so when I achieved it, that gave me a motivation, that gave me inspiration to move forward, to move further, and to completely continue to level up. So you see what I mean? So you really want to set up goals for yourself that have a slight bit of fairy dust, the lulu in them, but that are possible for you to attain so that you keep pushing forward.

Fourth aspect is relevance. So when you are creating goals for yourself, you want to create goals that are aligned with who you are as a person and your aspirations. So really ask yourself what type of goal is worthwhile for yourself and is worth your energy and time and effort. Yep, that's who you think it is. The Grimmest Mud. The Hello Kitty Keychain. Barbie herself.

I love to dance, to do yoga, to do Pilates, to go on walks. Like, that's very me.

What I don't like personally is lifting weights. I have tried it. I have had so many countless gym memberships. I'm not against it. I will have days like if I'm on vacation and there's only a gym, I'll go on the weights and I'll do some weights and I'll do some treadmill or maybe some stuff on the mat. But personally, like I don't like weightlifting. That's just not my thing.

And I think it's amazing. Like, I'm not talking shit on weightlifting. I hope you know that if you're a weightlifter out there, I think you're awesome. And I wish I was like you. But to be completely honest, when I lift heavy weights, like, I get terrible back pains. And it's just not for me. And it doesn't give me the same joy as I get from doing yoga or Pilates. And so if I decided, okay, I want to be more active, you know,

and I decide, okay, my goal is that I'm going to start going to the gym every day. That's just not relevant to me. Even though the intention is for me to be more active, it's not relevant for me to go to the gym every day because I don't enjoy it. So when it comes to relevance of your goal, always come back to the joy. What are you passionate about? What brings you peace and happiness?

and what makes you feel comfortable. And that's where you want to set those goals from that place. Now, if I just said, okay, I'm going to set myself a goal that

five times a week, I'm going to do some form of intuitive movement. That's more aligned with my aspiration and that allows me wiggle room to do what is right for me in that moment so that it can be worthwhile and I'm not breaking the goal right away and so I'm making it sustainable. And the fifth aspect is time bound. So you want to suggest yourself a time frame for achieving your goals.

So I do this not to add any sense of urgency, but really to help you stick to your mission and stick to your purpose. So I kind of like to set deadlines for myself, but not as a way to stress myself out, but as a way to where do I see myself in the next six months or in the next year? And that gives me a spur of motivation. So if you have goals for your business or

or for your own self-development practice, where do you see yourself in six months? Where do you see yourself in a year? Set those goals for yourself and those intentions so that they become time bound and so you can continue to work towards that place. And even if you don't reach those places right away, have self-compassion for yourself. We're all human and a

Time frame is not the judge of us. That's why I think instead of being like, oh, I have to do this every day, setting yourself more bigger, broader goals for time frames really helps you remain bound to your goals and your intentions without any sense of stress or urgency. So I hope that kind of made sense and kind of laid the foundation to how goal setting works from a logical perspective. And now I will also offer my Delulu perspective. And this is an exercise that I do every

almost every new year for the past couple of years that I love to do and it's super easy. And basically what I do is I take my journal and I divide it up into different categories. So health, career, self-help, relationships, travel, whatever categories you want in your life. And then what I do is I write one tangible goal or intention in that category and one delulu goal. So if for let's say career,

I will write one tangible goal is I want to make this X amount of money in one month, whatever that may be for you. That's a tangible goal that I know I can achieve. And then I will write one DeLulu goal, which is I will triple my income by this amount of much this month or whatever it is.

So this is kind of the idea is you set one tangible goal that keeps you grounded and one delilu goal that helps you have a spur of inspiration and motivation. This is something that I love to do. And almost every single time I look back at that list, I always achieve the tangible goal first.

and the Deluloo goal because the tangible goal helps you set the foundation so that propels you to the Deluloo goal. So this is like a fun exercise that I really recommend any of you guys to do. Takes maybe like 20 minutes or 10 minutes if you're quick about it and you already know what you want. And I just love it. Another aspect that I want to talk to you guys today is how to create a vision board because I swear by vision boards mainly because I'm a very visual person. I

I don't know how to explain it, but I just communicate well when I see a visual or I receive information better if I'm seeing a visual or if I'm seeing text versus if I'm listening. I am not a very good active listener. I'm working on it. In my relationships, I try to be a good active listener, but let's say if I'm studying something, I'm a very visual learner. And so for me, creating vision boards has been key to manifesting the things that I want. And it's crazy because I actually found a vision board that I had created

in 2021 and I had put on a different images of the things I wanted to manifest some of them being that claim your power made it on the top charts and by the way that's the same year that I started the podcast I had like no listeners I had also put like a photo of a woman doing yoga in Costa Rica because I had a dream of traveling to Costa Rica and getting my yoga license they down in 2022 and

I put a bunch of photos of traveling, places I wanted to go to. And in 2022, I traveled to seven countries. And in 2023, I also traveled to four or five different countries. And it was amazing. And I'm trying to think of anything else that I had put on the vision board. I had put soul friendships. I've met some of my closest soul friends in 2023.

in 2022 I'm trying to think because this was kind of a couple years ago but I had put a lot of things on that vision board and almost every single one of those things oh another thing is I had put TikTok my growth and so I had literally taken my TikTok account and I used Canva and I edited the amount of followers and I think at the time that I created it I had maybe 2,000 followers on TikTok and

And then I added it to have 100,000 followers on TikTok. And it's 2023. Well, maybe by the time you're listening to this, it's 2024. But I have over 300,000 followers on TikTok. So let me just tell you that vision boards work. Do not sleep on vision boards because they are an amazing tool for manifesting. And what I had done is every single year I make a vision board and then I make it the background screen for my computer. And basically every single day when I open my laptop to work,

I see the vision board and it keeps reiterating to my subconscious mind the visuals that I want to call into my life. And so making a vision board is pretty simple. What I recommend you do is you either open a Google Drive or Canva. I really recommend Canva, but it does cost money. Actually, I think it depends what membership you have. I personally have the membership because I use Canva all the time for my work.

But either Canva or Google Drive and what you do is you get on Pinterest and you search up all the aesthetics of the things you want to call into your life. So if you want to call in a dream relationship, you find the photos on Pinterest that make you feel the vibration of the dream relationship. If you want to manifest a community, a home, traveling, friendships, whatever it is, health,

Look on Pinterest, search those keywords up and find the images that instill some type of feeling in you that align with the frequency of what you want to call in.

Then you download all those photos and you create a vision board all together with all the photos. You download the vision board and you upload it on your computer. And that's it. And then every single day you look at it. And I see other people doing it on their phone as well, like for the screensaver on their phone. I think that's another wonderful idea. I see some people doing the old school way, which is like hanging out with your friends, finding some magazines, printing out different photos, clipping it on a poster and hanging it up on your wall. That's another fun activity.

that you can do for the new year for manifesting that I've also done before but basically this idea is you find the images that instill a feeling of the vibration that you want to call in and you allow those images to create space in your life and what I recommend is you save that vision board and then in a couple years or even next year in 2025 you can look back at it and you're gonna see

wow, like every single year that I look back at my older vision board, I always am just in a state of awe because I see all the changes and I see all the things I've manifested and it's such a wonderful experience to go through.

So that's vision boarding. I also want to talk to you about the art of leaving the past in the past because I think this whole idea of the new year is new year, new you. But the past, if we don't fully release it,

then it's going to come crawling back. And I just want to instill you with this word of wisdom and remind you that you can choose to open a new leaf and a new page in your life whenever you want. You don't need a new moon. You don't need a new year. You don't need to completely change your hair color or identity to do that. You just have to make the conscious choice.

And holding on to the past will ultimately hold you back. When you hold on to the past all the time, you're going to be the one that's self-sabotaging your life. Even if you're holding on to resentment to other people, that anger and that resentment is going to build up in your body and in your aura.

And that is why the art of forgiveness is so important. And I had filmed a whole podcast episode on forgiveness. And I really recommend if that's something you're struggling with as you enter this new year, listen to that episode because I have so many tools and so many good things to share with you on that, on how to really heal and forgive people who have hurt you in your life.

But I think it's so important and I want to share with you an exercise that I love to do. And I always do these during my full moon circles, but I'm also going to do it as we get into the new year. This is something that's going to be so therapeutic for you. And this is what you need to do. You need to grab a piece of paper.

And you're going to write down on that piece of paper every single thing or person in your life that you want to release. So any experiences from the past, any negative thoughts, any limiting beliefs, any people from your past, any feelings that you want to release that no longer serve you. Whatever it is, you're going to write it all down on a piece of paper. Really get it out. Let yourself have like a stream of consciousness for a couple of minutes and just write it all down. Don't think too much about it.

Then what you're going to do is you're going to grab a Sharpie or a black pen and you're going to mark a huge X on that piece of paper. You're going to X all those things physically out of your life.

And then what you're going to do is you're either going to burn that piece of paper, which honestly, I'm super clumsy and I wouldn't recommend to do that for myself. So what I typically do for safety measures is I just take that piece of paper and I rip it up into shreds. Like I rip it up until its last core and then I dump it in the trash. And let me tell you how therapeutic it is. And for anyone who's been to my full moon circles, you guys know how amazing this exercise is. You basically feel...

physically that you're purging all that you want out of your life and so if you feel like you were holding on to a lot of things from the past and you're not able to start that new page with 2024 I recommend you do this exercise it's really going to help you get all those feelings and emotions out and ultimately going to help you move forward also I wanted to update you guys because this is something that I decided I'm going to do starting the new year I started in September not September in December

but I'm gonna really stick to it in 2024 it's one of my goals for myself and my community is I started a free email list it's completely free I don't spam you I send you one email a week with a bunch of resources free resources just for your own empowerment and self-growth so usually once a week I will send you an email with an oracle deck reading like the energy of the week that you can expect I'll
