On television, I always try to get the conversation that people have in the green room on the air. This is the conversation that happens in the bar after the show. I'm Bill Maher and I'm speaking to you from the undisclosed location I like to call Club Random. It's where I've been talking to all sorts of interesting and funny people in one-on-one conversations for the new podcast I'm dropping that I'm telling you about right now. Why am I doing this?

Because everybody has been telling me I needed to have a place to talk to people that isn't primarily political. A lot of people are turned off to politics, and I really can't blame them. There's something about sitting in a bar, in a club, in a nighttime setting with just one person that produces the rawest, realest conversations I can imagine. Music and gossip and romance and health and movies. Why do we have to have game nights? Can't we just sit around and drink and talk? Club.
