with vertigo. This unexpected disruption followed a bombshell week where the panel watched graphic freak-off videos that visibly impacted them, leading Judge Aaron Subramanian to order an immediate adjournment. All eyes now turn to Friday when the trial resumes with Diddy's ex-assistant and alleged drug mule, Brandon Paul, expected to take the stand as a key prosecution witness. A chilling admission sent to a gaming friend exposes a shocking act of violence. A 24-year-old Texas man allegedly attacked his own mom with a hammer, then frantically confessed his crime. Robert Babin faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after the brutal assault on his 61-year-old mother, Lisa Babin, at their Harris County home. A deputy with the Harris County Sheriff's Office spoke to ABC 13 News.
They located a 61-year-old female in the backyard bleeding from the head. Lisa Babin, who was unable to speak, was rushed to a local hospital where she remains in serious condition. Investigators quickly uncovered the alarming truth from Robert Babin's own words. Shortly after the assault, he allegedly messaged a gaming buddy, quote, I just assaulted my mother with a hammer. I got angry. I don't know what to do. I can't go to prison, end quote.
In a desperate bid to evade justice, he reportedly added, quote, I have to get rid of the hammer and destroy the evidence before the police get here. I don't want to end up on death row, end quote. His friend promptly alerted authorities. Upon arrival, Babin initially feigned ignorance, telling police he had left his mom napping to run an errand. He was swiftly arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail.
At his bond hearing, Babin's court-appointed attorney argued for a lower bond, citing his client's lack of criminal history and describing him as a, quote, high-functioning person with autism, end quote. Bond was set at $150,000. Robert Babin faces up to 20 years in prison. The motive remains under investigation. Nancy. Thanks, Jennifer. More crime and justice news after this.

File this one under I do not think so. A Texas man just discovered he's been secretly married to his ex-girlfriend who allegedly filed a marriage certificate without his knowledge after they had already broken up.
Kristen Marie Spearman, 36, of Waco, now faces a felony stalking charge following the astonishing deception. The bewildered 42-year-old man contacted Beverly Hills Police after finding a seemingly innocent Bath and Body Works gift bag left by his ex.
Inside, a shocking revelation awaited. A picture of Spearman holding what appeared to be a marriage license showing them married and officiated by a local reverend alongside an actual copy of a marriage certificate that had been officially filed with the McLennan County Clerk's Office. Beverly Hills Police Chief Corey Martin spoke to Fox 44. I don't think in 23 years I've ever heard of anybody saying
who managed somehow to get married to someone who wasn't present for a ceremony. According to police, the couple had indeed obtained a marriage license on or about June 2nd, planning a wedding. However, they subsequently had a significant argument and broke off their relationship.
Despite the clear breakup, investigators allege Spearman, quote, convinced the reverend to certify the victim and Kristen in the holy union of matrimony without the knowledge of the victim and his required presence, end quote. This audacious act effectively married the man without his consent or attendance. Spearman was arrested at her home near Hewitt and booked into the McLennan County Jail, where she is being held under a $10,000 bond.
And finally, talk about a steaming hot mess. A Queen's granny's European cruise turned into a blistering nightmare after an airline allegedly served up a side of scalding agony right into her lap.
Amara Corbeau, 78, and her hubby Giuseppe are now suing Scandinavian Airlines for a jaw-dropping $10 million. On a flight to Oslo, Amara got a java jolt from an excessively hot coffee spill, leaving her with severe burns and scars. And this wasn't just a minor brouhaha either. The couple claims it ruined their entire two-week British Isles cruise, leaving them quote-unquote room-bound victims.
Her lawyers serving up the lawsuit, comparing it to that infamous McDonald's hot coffee case. Looks like this airline's cup runneth over with legal trouble. Ouch. Nancy.
