We explore Apple's ambitious plan to embed AI directly into iPhones and iPads for enhanced interactive user experiences, and their strategy to move away from reliance on cloud based AI computations. Furthermore, we discuss OpenAI's Preparedness Framework which aims to address AI risks preemptively, their actions on security bugs, and new funding ventures in the competitive AI marketplace. Additionally, we examine the challenges faced by NIST under President Biden's administration in establishing AI system standards, amidst financial and resource related constraints.
