Well, first of all, it's so nice to meet you. My mom has been listening to you for years and she was like, I think you should ask Dr. Laura. She probably will have an answer for you. But I'm basically struggling with a decision on a family member and whether or not to invite them to my wedding. And how many people are coming to the wedding, all in all? We are trying to cap it at 100. Okay.

And is this going to be outdoors or indoors? I have a reason for asking these questions. Oh, I know. Indoors. Okay. And when is it? It's in June of 2026. Oh, you like to ask questions well in advance. I like that. Okay. When are you sending out invites?

I want to send the save the date out within the next two weeks. So the date that we're looking for is like this is or is the 27th of June. OK, so like now let me ask you sort of an obscure question. Would we even notice if this person was there? Yes, that's a good question, because, yes, my family's small. And if this is a hundred people, dear, a hundred people.

Yeah. So keep that in mind. I don't care how tiny your family is. I have never thought of 100 people as tiny. You're right. So I just want to know. Yeah. Would anybody really know? Would anybody really notice? I mean, is this a hill we have to die on? No, I don't think so. I'm just saying if we invited them, who cares? Yeah, I never thought of it like that. I think it's a better way to think of it because it takes pressure off you.

Yeah. You don't really want them there, but what the hell? It's not going to really change anything. And you get an extra present. Yeah. She, um, she did something. Now just think about what I've said before you give me any details about this person. Okay. Is it worth the aggravation that's going to come if you don't? Probably not. Probably not. Then eliminate the nuisance factor. Okay. That makes sense.

Because this is a special day for you and you want to have good memories and you don't want to have, oh, somebody's mad and blah, blah, blah. And you didn't, you know, that kind of crap. You know, it always goes on. Yeah. Yeah. Then it would just, I would be reminded of like the bad stuff instead of the good time. Right. And unless this person is a fall down drunk or has some kind of other problems where they're going to behave really poorly, what the hell? And just sit them in the back.

That's what she did for her wedding. She sat me at a table. There you go. Yeah. There you go. Just put her in the back. Okay. You know what? Yeah. I didn't think of it like that. Yeah. Have some fun with it. Yeah. Why not? Right? Because... That's right. Yeah. She's not going to... She's not like...

I don't think she would make a scene like that'd be crazy. No, she'll make a scene for the next year. No, for the rest of my life. Yes. OK, but minimally for the next year coming up to your wedding, she's going to still be somebody said she put something on social media. Let's just avoid it. It's only one more chicken dinner.

How about we don't invite his mother? I know. Well, she invited 46 of her close friends. Oh, no. Well, then you're, yeah, well, he could have put the kibosh on that, your fiancé.

Yeah, he's going to have to because she doesn't know about the wedding at all. Like the mom, his mom doesn't know about it. And we have to tell her like ASAP because we're sending out the saved dates and, you know, surprise. Sorry, you can't invite 46 of your close friends. Okay. Am I on speakerphone? Can he hear me?
