She is joined by Dr. Malcolm Moore, Medical Oncologist, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Dr. Amol Verma, a staff physician in General Internal Medicine at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, and Dr. Alisa Naiman, Family Physician and Founder and Medical Director of The Medical Station in Toronto.

A study published in the Canadian Journal of Surgery and based in Toronto reveals that Canadian surgeons are getting paid on average 28 per cent less for operating on female patients compared to similar types of surgeries on male patients.

META ENDS NEWS SHARING ON ITS PLATFORMS IN CANADA

Liz West is now joined by Carmi Levy, a technology analyst and journalist based in London, Ontario.

Meta (owner of Facebook and Instagram) is dropping news from its platforms in Canada as of this week. It's a direct response to Ottawa's  Online News Act, Bill C-18, which is passed in June of this year. That legislation requires the big tech giants like Google and Meta to pay Canadian media outlets for sharing their news pieces. But, could this move actually be hurting Canada's media industry as the tech companies fire back?
