Along the Gaza border, where 25% of residents were killed or kidnapped on October 7th, there are reminders of the remaining 50 hostages in Hamas captivity, 20 of whom are believed to be alive. Earlier in the week, the Israeli leader vowed to destroy what he calls Hamas stand.

The Supreme Court will not revive a Montana law requiring parental consent for minor girls to obtain abortions. A Montana law requiring parents give consent for their minor daughters to undergo abortions will remain stricken now that the U.S. Supreme Court is refusing to hear an appeal. Montana's own high court ruled last year the law ran afoul of the state's constitutional provisions.
protecting rights of minors, though the state's attorney general argued parental rights to make medical decisions for their children under federal law should outweigh the rights of minors. Montana voters enshrined abortion protections into their state constitution last year, a move made in response to the U.S. Supreme Court overturning its decision in Roe v. Wade.
Eben Brown, Fox News. A top vaccine official at the FDA has restricted the approval of two COVID-19 vaccines despite recommendations from government scientists. Internal documents show that the Food and Drug Administration's top vaccine chief, Dr. Vinay Prasad, personally intervened to put limits on COVID shots from Novavax and Moderna that had already been approved.
He disagreed with staff who planned to okay the shots for those 12 and up and instead decided they should be limited to those who face the most risk from COVID-19, like seniors or kids and adults with underlying medical issues. The move is the latest in a series of vaccine restrictions imposed by officials working under Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has long questioned the benefits of vaccines.

Nissan is recalling more than 480,000 of its Rogue SUVs, Altimas and Infiniti QX5s and Q50s from model years 2021 through 2024 across the U.S. and Canada due to potential manufacturing defects that could cause engine failure.
