More trade talks. I'm Paul Stevens, Fox News officials from the U.S. and China sitting down today for round two of negotiations amid tariff tensions after President Trump said progress was made yesterday. Details of this meeting are scant at the moment, but President Trump did give a general overview. He says on Truth Social, a very good meeting today with China and Switzerland. Many things discussed, much agreed to. A total reset negotiated in a
friendly but constructive manner. We want to see for the good of both China and the U.S. an opening up of China to American business. Great progress made. Treasury Secretary Scott Besant and U.S. Trade Rep Jameson Greer are leading the talks on the U.S. side. They're not expected to walk out of these negotiations with a deal. But before the trip, the president did float the possibility of dropping the 145 percent tariffs on China to 80 percent.
And that's Fox's Madeline Rivera. privately run federal immigration detention center in Newark. The agents came out, ICE agents came outside where I was and tried to arrest me there, and they did. And those elected officials claimed they were there on site to conduct a, quote, oversight visit. Well, Border Czar Tom Homan reacted with this. This is where due process happens. We have to detain them to go through the due process.
NDHS has denied the mayor's claims the facility lacked any proper permits. That facility, guys, currently holds alleged killers, MS-13 gang members, child rapists, and more. And the mayor's attorney releasing a statement following the arrest saying the government has improperly claimed that Baraka is guilty of trespass and they are looking forward to defending the mayor in court. ICE this past week busting a 20-year-old Venezuelan man who's been arrested 16 times since his arrival back in 2023. Fox's Caroline Elias. ICE identified him as Santiago Josue Vargas Rodriguez. And after his 13th arrest, Rodriguez pleaded guilty.
in February to attempted robbery. And according to reports, a judge warned him that deportation was likely. But yet again, he was released and arrested three more times before ICE detained him last month. ICE authorities say Cook County officials ignored six different immigration detainers for Rodriguez in the last year. And court records show in the past, prosecutors in the sanctuary state dropped most of his other cases. Borders are Tom Homan says the

Buona domenica. This following his election on Thursday, announced by a signal of the, of course, white smoke. Tomorrow, the Federal Trade Commission's new rules on deceptive ticketing fees going to affect the measure will prohibit bait and switch pricing and other tactics used to hide and drive up the total cost. It'll also provide more flexibility, though, for businesses by allowing different pricing strategies as long, the rule says, as companies are transparent about
on those practices and fees. I'm Paul Stevens. This is Fox News.
