Moving it along, I'm Chris DiMeo, Fox News. The White House sends President Trump's spending plan to Capitol Hill. President Trump's proposed $1.7 trillion budget promises more than $100 billion in cuts to non-defense federal spending. It increases spending at our border, coupled with cuts to foreign aid.
But the president is taking criticism from some Senate Republicans like Mitch McConnell and Susan Collins who say the president is not increasing spending at the Pentagon enough to advance our country's defense and fulfill his peace through strength policy. That's Fox's Matt Finn in Florida.
There's a new Kentucky Derby champion. Sovereignty won the 151st run for the Roses, beating 18 other horses on a sloppy, muddy track. After pulling away from pre-race favorite journalism, Sovereignty crossed the wire at 2.02 and 3 tenths of a second.
This was trainer Bill Mott's second Derby victory. Six years ago, Mott's horse country house was moved up to first place after maximum security was disqualified. The victory also broke an 0-for-13 Derby streak for owner Godolphin. That's the racing stable of Dubai's ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Next up is the Preakness Stakes in two weeks.

President Trump wants to mark his 79th birthday with a special kind of parade. Fox 5 DC's Bob Barnard has more. President Trump says he got the idea for a big military-style parade during his first term when he witnessed a Bastille Day parade in France. According to the White House, the parade here would recognize all past wars and include reenactors and equipment from all of our wars, the revolutionary to the global war on terrorism.
The Associated Press says it's seen planning documents that indicate the parade would consist of more than 6,000 soldiers, at least 150 vehicles, 50 helicopters, and seven marching bands. Warren Buffett with a surprise announcement. Warren Buffett shocking shareholders by announcing his intention to retire at the end of the year. The 94-year-old investor says he will recommend Berkshire Hathaway's board member Greg Abel take his place as CEO. Buffett also warning of possible consequences from President Trump's tariffs, saying, quote, trade should not be a weapon. That's Fox News' Alicia Acuna.
The South Texas home of Elon Musk's SpaceX rocket company is on its way to becoming an official city with a galactic name Starbase. A vote Saturday to formally organize Starbase as a city was being approved by a lopsided margin by a small group of voters who live there and are mostly Musk's employees at SpaceX.
