But he's being pressed about the future of his tariffs. In a new interview, the president says he is not worried about recession and thinks we'll have, quote, the greatest economy in the history of our country. This is a transition period. I think we're going to do fantastically. President Trump's proposed $1.7 trillion budget promises more than $100 billion in cuts to non-defense federal spending. It increases spending at the border, coupled with cuts to foreign aid.
Fox's Matt Finn reporting from West Palm Beach, Florida. Senate Democrats plan to force a vote on deportation transparency. This after alleged MS-13 member Kilmar Abrego-Garcia was deported. In the coming weeks, the Senate will take up that Democratic resolution.
requesting the Trump administration detail the, quote, human rights practices of El Salvador, including its treatment of inmates in the mega prison where Kilmar Abrego Garcia was briefly detained. While the resolution itself doesn't mention Abrego Garcia by name, it calls for a report of the steps taken to comply with court orders to facilitate detainees return to the U.S. The White House.

In just a few days, the TSA will start looking for a star in the upper right-hand corner of driver's licenses as Real ID's become a reality for domestic air travel. The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission has now launched Real ID Tuesdays, which will make an additional 5,200 appointments available every other Tuesday going forward.
In Maine, state leaders there sent a letter to DHS and TSA asking for a phased-in approach to enforcing the REAL ID. The request coming after Maine's secretary of state said estimates showed fewer than 50 percent of travelers had a compliant ID while traveling through the state's largest airport. The REAL ID is a state-issued driver's license with a star in the top right corner, meaning it has enhanced security protections in line with the REAL ID Act passed by Congress in 2005
