Immigration protests intensify. I'm Sue Guzman, Fox News. Scenes of intense violence captured in Los Angeles as hundreds of anti-ice protesters took to the streets for a third day, burning cars, blocking a freeway, and hurling rocks and fireworks at cops. The LAPD has declared an unlawful assembly. Fox's Christina Coleman has the latest from Los Angeles. He had a couple of protesters, rioters actually, throw bottles at the
officers, and I'm not sure what was in them, but law enforcement, they definitely protected themselves deploying that tear gas
and those flashbang grenades. You also have a lot of National Guard here. They are protecting the federal building. That is where you had those rioters on Friday creating all that chaos. And so they're protecting that building with the tactical equipment. But there is a heavy police presence here, a heavy law enforcement presence all around this downtown area. They have intersections closed off.
to try and contain some of this violence. Trump on Truth Social saying, looking really bad in L.A., bringing the troops, and these are not protesters, these are paid insurrectionists. He said Sunday he'd consider using the military under the Insurrection Act if need be. Governor Gavin Newsom issuing a statement saying President Trump's activation of 2,000 National Guard troops is inflaming the situation, calling on him to rescind the order.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass urging protesters to remain peaceful. We don't need in this city to go to sleep tonight and wake up in the morning and find out about people running through Home Depot parking lots being chased by ICE officers. Are people going to work? Are children at school? The protests in response to ICE raids at Home Depot locations around the city. And Poland making moves to protect its airspace Monday morning as Polish and allied aircraft were activated after Russia launched airstrikes.
