Clarification on China and tariffs. Lisa Brady, Fox News. The White House says tariffs on Chinese imports could come down, but not without a trade deal first. The U.S. will not lower tariffs on Chinese goods unilaterally, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt says.

The Justice Department now seeking an order to require Google to take steps, including selling its Chrome browser, to end the monopoly. This court case is based on Google's dominance in search, but so much has been focused on artificial intelligence, and that's because two of the remedies that the government is proposing have

to do with AI. One is sharing data with competitors and the other is spinning off Chrome. One of the witnesses who was called, who's the head of product for chat GBT, Nick Turley, he was asked if OpenAI was open to and able to buy Chrome. He said,

Yes. The government is also arguing that data sharing is necessary to keep AI competitive so that we don't run into the same situation we had with search. Fox Business' Madison Allworth, Google's lawyer, has argued the DOJ proposals amount to a wish list for competitors seeking the benefits of Google's innovations.

India is downgrading diplomatic ties with Pakistan, also suspending a water-sharing treaty, blaming its rival neighbor for a militant attack on tourists that killed 26 people yesterday in Kashmir, where Pakistan denies backing terrorism. The number of injuries rising to more than 230 after an earthquake

The earthquake shook buildings in Turkey's largest city, Istanbul, and surrounding areas. There are no reports of serious damage, although scores of people were hospitalised, many with injuries sustained trying to jump out of buildings.

The U.S. Geological Survey reports the earthquake had a shallow depth of about six miles and a magnitude of 6.2. There were more than 50 aftershocks. Fox's Jonathan Savage recapping stocks.
