This is a Fox News alert. An American hostage is freed from Gaza. I'm Carmen Roberts. 65-year-old Keith Siegel, originally from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is back in Israel. Hamas released him about an hour ago after 484 days in captivity. He was taken from Kibbutz Kfar Aza on October 7th, as was his wife, who has already been released. After her return, she said when she left, Keith had been severely injured.
Among the Americans still being held by Hamas, Segi Dekelhan and Idan Alexander. The bodies of four Americans haven't yet been returned, including Itayhan, Omer Nutra, Judith Weinstein and Gadi Haggai. Jessica Rosenthal, Fox News. The militant group also released two Israeli civilians today. This is the third set of hostages turned over during the current ceasefire. In exchange, Israel will free 90 Palestinian prisoners, nine believed to be terrorists,
serving life terms. The six people killed in last night's medical jet crash in Philadelphia were heading back to Mexico after a young girl was treated at Shriners Children's Hospital. That includes the crew and the pilot who were all volunteering, I'm told, to help a little girl through this jet rescue air ambulance plan. She had been in Philadelphia to have these life-saving treatment.
She gets on that plane with her mom and this crew, and they're all excited to go back to Tijuana. And that plane went down in 30 seconds. It was a fireball. So they were able to put out those fires at least six homes. But I'm told by fire officials they were able to get those people out and get them to safety.
Fox's Alexis McAdams, the fiery crash into a neighborhood injured at least six people on the ground, three of whom are hospitalized in fair condition. President Trump's 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico and 10% levy on China went into effect just after midnight, sparking fears of a global trade war and an inflation crisis. Republican Senator Kevin Cramer of North Dakota tells Fox News he hopes President Trump will omit a major commodity. Oil is tied directly to inflation, obviously. But so I hope there's a carve out there.
Republican Congresswoman Claudia Tenney of New York tells us she understands the incentives for tariffs. I understand the overall goal, but I think there is a way to make them effective without actually causing massive carnage and loss of jobs.
Confirmation the tariffs would happen today tanked stocks with the Dow dropping 337 points yesterday. Someone in Florida used a bow and arrow to shoot a family's dog. The Silver Springs family felt helpless seeing their dog with an arrow in her back. All I could do was kneel down beside her and let her know it was okay. The family rushed their dog Bella to the animal hospital, but she had to be euthanized.
