This is a Fox News alert. Another plane crash. The Learjet crashed at around 6.30 p.m. near a shopping mall after departing from Northeast Philadelphia Airport. The FAA says the jet was en route to Springfield Branson National Airport in Missouri. A house is on fire. The corner house, there is flames shooting off the roof of the house. And I'm looking at flames 10 feet high out of the roof. And now I see firefighter ladders, firefighters shooting.
That was what I was hearing because the smoke shifted and now I can see. So that's where more smoke's coming from. This was right where there was a bunch of cars on fire along Cotton. Fox Philly's Steve Keeley on the scene. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro says he's offering all Commonwealth resources as they respond to the crash.
Meanwhile, federal investigators looking into the deadly midair crash in Washington, D.C., say they've made progress in the search for flight data. NTSB board member Todd Inman says of the two black box recorders recovered from the American Airlines plane, one was in good condition while the cockpit voice recorder contained water. Inman says that's not unusual and that they're working to get the data from it, warning that it can be a slow process. We have a very high level of confidence that we will have it.
We just have to work through a number of steps. He says the Black Hawk helicopter's black box has also been recovered. It is safely at the NTSB headquarters. It will begin an evaluation, just as the other two recorders did last night.

One of the first parents in the U.S. to be held criminally responsible for a mass school shooting by a child as asked to have her conviction thrown out. Jennifer Crumbly serving a 10-year sentence for involuntary manslaughter after her son Ethan opened fire inside Oxford High School in Michigan. Her lawyer says her trial was spoiled because prosecutors didn't disclose key details about two witnesses.
Those witnesses, Nick Ejack and Sean Hopkins, were employees at the school and had met with Ethan and his parents two hours before the shooting. The employees weren't promised immunity by the prosecution, but they were told their words wouldn't be used against them. Prosecutors say they had no legal obligation to disclose the meetings since those two weren't charged with crimes.

Prosecutors in New York City say five members of an organized crime family have pled guilty to racketeering, money laundering and gambling charges for running an illegal gambling operation. Among those who pled guilty, Anthony Villani, who agreed to a plea deal where he'll pay a fine of $4 million.
Prosecutors say Villani ran an online sports betting business that hired mafia figures to work as bookmakers and collected at least a million dollars a year.
The United Nations Palestinian Relief Agency says its work continues despite a ban by Israel. A lot passed in October is now in effect banning UNRWA, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees, from operating on Israeli land and having contact with Israeli authorities. UNRWA, though, says it's still providing services in Israeli-occupied East Jerusalem as well as the West Bank and Gaza.
A spokeswoman says disruptions to its aid work in Gaza could put a ceasefire with Hamas there in jeopardy.
