Wildfires in the Carolinas continue to rage as hundreds are evacuated from their homes. The Fox Business Network's Madison Scarpino reports. Both North and South Carolina are still under statewide burn bans. Hurricane Helene knocked down millions of trees in the region six months ago. As you can imagine, there's still a ton of damage and this is making things worse.
Very difficult for firefighters. This could be an issue for several years in the Carolinas, where tens of thousands of acres have already been scorched. Over the last week, the South Carolina Forestry Commission worked 26 fire-related incidents. Three of the fires are still burning. That includes the Covington Dry Fire, which started near Myrtle Beach and has been active for weeks.

Jeffrey Sigalette, a professor at the University of British Columbia who helps handle academic misconduct, says that's plagiarism. Carney has called for parliamentary elections next month, which he hopes will keep him in the prime minister's office. His campaign says his former supervisor at Oxford dismisses the allegations, saying his work was thoroughly researched.
