Wild Thursday in Major League Baseball and the Pirates 8-4 win over the Tigers. Pittsburgh relief pitcher Dennis Santana appeared to be getting verbally assaulted by a fan seated in the first row above the Pirates bullpen. Santana said the fan crossed the line with what he said. Santana tried to jump up and take a swing at the fan.
At the Cubs' 8-7 loss to the Brewers at Wrigley Field, a fan seated behind home plate scaled the netting, and after a bat flew out of the hands of a Brewers hitter and got stuck in the netting, the fan retrieved the bat and then was taken away by security, only to return minutes later to cheers from the Wrigley faithful.
