Fox Weather. Fox Weather meteorologist Michael Estimate with you in America's Weather Center. Today is the first day of meteorological spring, but it certainly doesn't feel like it in the Northeast with snow in upstate New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Now, along with snow, a little bit of freezing rain will mix in along with some strong gusty winds. Winds gusting as high as 40 miles per hour. Plan for a slick and slippery commute as you're up and out the door in the Northeast.
And despite the cold Canadian air solidly entrenched in the Midwest and Great Lakes, including Detroit, Chicago, and Milwaukee, where highs today are only forecast in the 20s, we should keep things nice and dry. Thankfully, warmer air is on the way on Sunday, with highs at and above freezing, with temperatures soaring into the 40s in the Midwest and Great Lakes by Monday and on Tuesday.
