Fox weather. I'm Fox weather meteorologist Steven Morgan with the latest from America's Weather Center. Nearly two weeks has eclipsed since historic rain fell across parts of the Mid South, but river flooding remains a big deal, especially along the lower Mississippi River Valley. Several gauges along the Mississippi from Arkansas to the state of Mississippi and Louisiana are forecast to reach moderate, even major flood stage
Major flooding forecast in even the capital of Louisiana. Baton Rouge will likely not see that flooding until next Thursday, the 24th. Upstream near Vicksburg, Mississippi, the river is in forecast to crest until next Monday. That's the 21st in moderate stage. It's possible river levels won't get back to normal until early next month. And that's a concern, especially considering the stormy pattern that's going to emerge through the Midwest right through Easter Sunday.
