The best franchise systems take years to fine tuning their systems, processes, brand, and marketing. This allows the franchisees to follow a script and hopefully prosper. Of course, this is the best case scenario. Unfortunately what often happens is that there is a lack of systems, infrastructure, and processes. These franchises can still make money but it is important to understand that making money is only one part of a franchise. You need the systems and support that a good franchise will have in place. The hard part of course is figuring out if the franchise you are looking at has a solid foundation.
