Our culture loves the independent business. Franchises can seem a little more corporate. This is actually a myth. When you own a franchise you are indeed a locally owned and operated business. Your are just part of a larger brand. That is very different from being corporately owned. Independent businesses can actually learn a lot from franchises to become more successful.
