His unexpected passing at a friend’s house in Kokomo, Indiana led to years of investigation, with authorities ultimately ruling his death accidental due to positional asphyxia, an enlarged heart, and substance use. His mother, Michele Barton, has continued to advocate for answers regarding the circumstances of his death.
