Saharai “Sada” Salazar has been working professionally with canines for over 18 years.

-

Saharai’s education in domestic animal and wildlife biology with an emphasis on canine studies included behavior, anatomy and physiology, genetics, evolution, and diseases at the University of California, Davis. 

• Saharai’s passion in working with Fear, Anxiety and Stress (FAS) in dogs, especially fear-based aggression, was cultivated in the Isolation Ward of a county animal shelter.

• For several years, she successfully rehabilitated and placed numerous red-listed dogs slated for euthanasia. Behavior modification presented its own special challenges in a shelter environment, which equipped Saharai with a unique set of skills and the knowledge needed to straddle the rescue and behavior worlds.
