Today, I’m syncing up with Phil Yin, MD, PhD., Head of Clinical Product at Siphox Health. Phil Yin is an internal medicine physician-scientist, a drug development expert and seasoned endurance sports athlete! He has completed over 20 marathons, including Boston and NYC Marathons, conquered many triathlons and competitive cycling events and knows the power of movement firsthand.

But when his journey took an unexpected turn and he started to feel early signs of declining health this prompted a reinvention.

With over twenty years’ experience working on data-driven solutions to clinical protocols and drug development. His experience as both drug developer and doctor informs his understanding of the molecular mechanisms and systems pathophysiology of both health and disease.

Instead of leaning towards a traditional medicine approach, Phil began personal experimentation with various health metrics and devices, including comprehensive home blood work testing (paying out of pocket to obtain tests he wouldn’t get from the health system), continuous glucose monitors, lactate tests, and more.
