If you'd like to be a part of the show, you can also text into the show 205-834-9450. How many texts in, Damien, on my mispronunciation of the Valdi? No, you got it right. Nobody's corrected you on the text line. Vinny Jr. on Twitter, apparently 9.1 million followers. So he's well known.

And rich. So well known that no one in here knew who he was, excluding myself, because I found out who he was yesterday. So y'all are behind. Get with the times. Alex Page tweets in, you all need to watch La Liga on Netflix where at Vinny Jr. and his team are featured. Do we? I don't have enough things to watch. That feels like something I'm going to. What are you watching right now? Outside of tape. That's starting to ramp up the tape. I started yesterday on Clemson a little bit.

You still didn't have Kay Klovenick as your top three quarterback. No, I probably helped him keep him out. Off last year's tape. We're watching the bear. No, we're not watching that. Just got to season two. We watched, you know what we watched last night? Really? We were kind of married, you know, first day of kindergarten, tough day emotionally. So put Billy Madison on. Thought about it. Make you feel better about it. Make a lot of it. Veronica Vaughn. Kindergarten cop. It's in the title. Who's your daddy and what does he do?

That's a great movie, but no. We watched Ted Lasso last night. There we go. We realized that about two years ago,

We stopped midway through season three and figured we might as well finish it. Is that the last season? I did the same. I cashed it in midway through season three. It's got to be the biggest nerd show. It's got to be the biggest nerd show of all time, but I enjoy it. I'm a nerd, so I'm not scared. I thought seasons one and two were great. Three just drifted. Still a nerd show. It pulled a Game of Thrones and no one really wants to talk about it. Oh, no.

Well, don't go there. Game of Thrones kept me locked in late, though. You can say what you want about how it ended. We're going to finish it now. If you want to spoil it, I really don't care. John, you in on the bear? I haven't started it yet. I heard it's too intense. I just heard that cooking is too hard. It's too intense. I've legitimately had four people say this. Cooking is intense? They're making food, folks. That's what I can't figure out. I don't know what's intense about it. Gordon Ramsay's not there yelling at him, so how's it hard? There is a portion where...

He's in that environment. No, it's not him. He's in a similar environment. I don't get that at all. There are intense parts of it, but that's part of what makes it good. Yeah, but you've also kind of grew up in an atmosphere where you got yelled at quite a bit, and so you're kind of used to that. Whereas I think

Maybe that's why. Maybe I watch Gordon Ramsay and I'm like, folks, that's a tenth of Rick Trickett, man. I don't know. And I haven't seen him kick anybody in the stomach. He hasn't done it on a sled. I mean, he's just standing right over there. Meanwhile, Damien's generation... Until he makes those chefs push a sled on a flat tire for an hour after practice? Correct. Dang. On the second practice of a two-a-day? I don't want to hear it. Meanwhile, Damien's generation, who this is probably geared towards, any elevated tones and they're crawling in a corner and don't want to hear it. Put your apron on and...

Dice and Onion. Intensity. Soft. It's a good show, though. That's just what I've been told. I like the storyline. I like where it's going. It's good. I'm out. I think it's a good show. I'm not watching it. You know what? Then don't watch it. I'm not going to. Good. I don't want to. We're not watching it. I don't like soft. Let me tell you what I came across the bear. It's pretty good. I don't like fake stress. Fake stress? Oh, this is hard. For real? We have to plate six dinners.

This round table has, they said, medium rare plus. This sounds aggressive. Okay. Get the sous vide out. We have to make sure this chicken's at 165 internal. How hard is this? I cooked last night. Piece of cake. Burnt the heck out of some steaks. Don't care. Don't care. So obviously it could be tough. Ain't mad at it. There's nobody to fire you at your house, though. Don't care. Fire me. There's not one. That's what I'm saying. These other sous can be fired. I think that's what you call them.

Boy named maybe? Don't know. Wow. I get it. But either way, they're probably in a similar spot. They know they have to get that training if they ever want to be Michelin five-star certified. I'm sorry, Frank Stitt, for not knowing the correct vernacular, but whatever.

And then so they probably think I have to have this training. I have to get this experience. So I'll take it just like I wanted to be a starter. And I didn't transferring was a death wish when I played. So I knew we had to take it. I was going to have my face mask yanked and be hung on by 168 pound adult. Yeah. Yeah.

I was going to be called the dumbest MF-er that he had ever coached on a daily basis. And? And I did it. Yeah. And I was kicked in the rear end with a 15-yard running head start in the bottom. God almighty. But I did it because I wanted that. That's what I wanted. And I'm assuming they all want that too. So you deal with it. It doesn't mean that it's any harder to make mashed potatoes.

Shouldn't be. That's what I'm getting at. Like, I don't know how you can watch shows like where there's real life or death situations. I mean, there's like legit life or death situations on shows. Like if you want stressful, like, all right, I'll watch a movie or a show like band of brothers or something like that to me is stressful. Like,

Cooking in the kitchen, hoping that you can get your star rating to me is not as stressful. I know it is in real life. I get that. That's a career path. Like going on a game and doing a game is stressful. But one of the I will say this. That's the next. You know what? That's how that's how the morning show has been highly rated. That's what we do. We just follow a truck around every year and we just recreate what we experience on the road doing games.

But that would be entertaining. There's a lot of people, though, Greg, that if they if you put them where you sit on Saturdays, they will be stressed out. Totally. Like I had this I had this conversation with a buddy of mine at dinner last night and he was talking. He's like, do you still get nervous? And I said, no. And he said, why not? And I said, because it's all the same to me now. If you.

I got to tell you guys, one of the moments that hit me hardest on this show since we've been doing it, I had never thought of it this way was when I was making fun of our games a couple of years ago and talking about how much better Greg's games were than mine. And Greg said, how many playoff games have I done? And I had done one at the time. Now, granted, a different platform in a different way. But there was no part of the beginning of that game that was any different for me.

I did what I do. And now it takes a long time to get to that. The same thing when you're playing football. Like, Damian, you know, you ran routes a different way year three than you did first day. Craig, you saw defense as a very different day year four than you did year one. No doubt. Now, five years ago, if you'd have said, hey, this is a college football playoff game on ESPN, potentially two million people watching. Be ready.

A little sweat. Actions might have been a little bit different. A little sweat. But intensity comes in different ways. This is a minor spoiler on the show, but one of the coolest things that happens that he talks about in the show is when he was in that environment, not how stressful it was, how the organization of it and just how regimented it was overall.

He had to have like his personality. He had to have that. Yes. And so therefore, if you know you need that or you want that, you'll take all the stress that comes with it. Totally. To put yourself in the environment that you desire, so to speak. Adrenaline is a drug. Like everyone's always like, oh, what was it like not playing anymore? I was like, I had to find that drug. Exactly. So calling games fills that void. Like I don't get nervous. I have a healthy anxiety.

before a game. Yeah, because it's getting excitement. Like an excitement. Like you're fired up. Like it's the same way you felt when you played a game. But like I don't care if it's Lamar at A&M or if it's Texas versus Washington in the semi. Like I feel the same excitement. Like I'm going on air. It's just fun. It's the best. But I know buddies that struggled in recreating that edge. Oh, there's no doubt. Like that's a hard thing. I mean, basically when you play a high-level sport, and high-level is defined –

In a lot of different ways, I might add. If you never played past your sophomore year of high school, it doesn't matter. You were a high-level athlete. You made it farther than most if you played beyond ninth grade. That's pretty good. So give yourself credit there. It's really hard to recreate that adrenaline rush. And that's why people go on roller coasters. That's why people want that rush. Imagine having it 20 times a year.

Depending on what sport you play, it might be 60 times a year, 40 times a year. That thing's a hard thing to recreate. So I get it. And I think that that rush that you would feel when you're having to run a restaurant like that, where the expectation level is as high as it is, would be amazing. Well, not only prepare it, but have that presentation absolutely perfect. And that's...

That's where I differ from a lot of – you can have your presentation, man. I don't care. I don't care how it looks, like if it looks like a swan or if it's – just give me good food, man. I just want it to taste good. I could care less if it's all just mushed together. Just give me good food. I just want it to taste good. I don't care.

The Swite's at a 42-degree angle. I don't know. I don't want it. Don't care what branches you put with it or, you know, leaves. If there's doilies on the table. Twigs. Exactly. Don't need the doilies. Has there ever been a company that's shown more range than Michelin to put out tires and to be the make or break for restaurants? Honest question. Is it the same company? Yeah. I would not have known that.

Same. That's versatility. Yeah. Well, then again, the Michelin Man is chubby. That's like LL Cool J versatility right there. Michelin Man is chubby. Gangster rap, love song. Just saying. That's like Justin Timberlake range right there. Yep. LL Cool J and Justin Timberlake. I mean, that's Ice Cube going from the most dangerous guy on earth to are we there yet? Exactly. Okay, let me ask you this. What entertainer has the most range all the time? Snoop. Jamie Foxx. Snoop.

Jamie Foxx does a lot of things. A lot of things. Snoop can't do stand-up. It's fair. Yeah, but has he tried? Who else is in that category then? Can Jamie Foxx do stand-up well? I don't know. Well enough. I mean, is he a goat out here? No, but he can have a special. I think he's good enough. Who else is the most rangy? Andy Murphy. He'd be up there. Yeah, he did play a serious character in Bowfinger. Seriously awful, but okay.

See, I would say Eddie Murphy, I would put him in the uber-talented category, but super rangy? No, he's kind of, you know what you're going to get. He can do it. The problem is when he does other things, they're not always great. But he can do it. He can do it. He can be dramatic, but ugh. When? I don't know when. Dolomite is my name. Dreamgirls. Dreamgirls, yeah. Should have won an Oscar for that. Yeah.

He can sing. Jimmy Gasol. Okay. That's true. He did sing. He was pretty good. That one line in Mulan? No, he was pretty good singing in Coming to America. Yeah. Woke up everyone. Who else has that kind of versatility and range? I mean, there are not a lot of folks that can basically go cut an album and can be multifaceted as an actor or entertainer in different ways.

It just doesn't feel like there's a lot of folks out there like that. Not many, no. Yeah. So Jamie Foxx is a Michelin of entertainers? Of the whole world. Who knew? Charlie Baker, governor, president of the NCAA. Okay. College basketball player, range. Oh, what's his name that played Kane? That was Kane. I mean, that to a mayor. Jesse Ventura. Yeah. We got somebody texting. Jesse Ventura, play-by-play wrestling or color on wrestling. Governor of Minnesota. Right. Predator.

Demolition Man? Yeah. Does that count? Somebody takes it in. Will Smith. He's got range. Not according to Greg. Yeah. We'll let that one slide. Greg, you don't like Will Smith? He hates Fresh Prince. Yeah, he said Fresh Prince is overrated. I think Fresh Prince is overrated. It's not, but... I will say modern Will Smith, not quite as rangy as midlife Will Smith. Well, yeah. You don't like Hancock? Yes. After Earth didn't tickle your fancy? I mean, seriously, I haven't done anything good since I Am Legend.

That was how many years ago? God, that was good, though. It was great. You didn't see neither of the last two bad boys. Right. I didn't see any of them. But also, they're kind of the same. Yeah. Right. Doesn't matter. But still, right. Good is good. Correct. Somebody put The Rock. No. He can work a crowd. I'm not saying not talented, but I'm not also going to say very rangy. Right. I mean, he's essentially been two characters in his career. No. Yes. Stop. Versace. Kind of big guy and then really big guy. Versace man heel early on.

And then... I love how you're trying to suggest that there's two characters. Good guy for any trash talker later. I'm counting one. No, he was a heel early on. No, but nobody paid attention to that. No, no, no. There's pre-needle and post-needle for The Rock. The shirts and the sunglasses and the thing, yeah. I'm not talking Nation of Domination Rock. That was kind of force-fed a little bit. Not Rocky Maivia. The actual The Rock. The Rock. A little different, yeah. Dwayne.

Okay, those are some good suggestions, though, when you're talking about range, different people. The Rock's pretty good. So they are all the Travis Hunters of the world. Yeah, I can get on board there. I'm not ready for that one. Well, there's not a lot of range-y college football players anymore. Maybe Caleb Downs is one, and he's going to get 100 carries at tailback this year. That's what you need. Your safety plan at running back. When I think about Ohio State's needs, it's running back. If I gave you one safety to play running back for one series right now, and the game's on the line,

Who are you taking? All-time? All-time. And I got to have it? You got to have it. Paul Malou. He's going to find it. I got Reed or Dawkins. I think Reed's a little long. He got some wiggle. Yeah, but not really, though. That's not his. Can you imagine Ed Reed's stretch play? Like, he will patient, patient, patient. It'd be like Steve Slayton. I'll take that. Back in the day. Right. Reed is turning the corner. It's like turning a boat, though. That thing is going to go. But when it does.

Dawkins would be that hammer. Dawkins would be a hammer, but at water. 3.8 a carry. Pick you up afterwards. Thank you for the game. 3.8 a carry. Never more than a 10-yard carry, but never less than a 2.5-yard carry. He's got some Amobe, a Koyan. He's going to be physical. Just grinding it out. I think that's fair. Roy Williams would be in the middle. Give me the ball, baby. I feel like if you were to take a guy, who's the cat that played at...

Played in San Diego forever. Played at Utah. Eric Weddle. Weddle. I feel like you get Weddle out there as a little scat back. That dude would be a beast. Well, they call him Danny Woodhead. He was a great player. I've seen that. I feel like I've seen that. Weddle's maybe four inches and 30 pounds heavier. I met Weddle at the Senior Bowl Hall of Fame banquet this year. He was more put together than I thought. He's a big dude, bro. Yeah. More put together than I thought because he looked kind of like a little Mighty Mike out there on the field sometimes. But I was like, okay, this dude –

Very well put together. There you go. I'm not sure Atwater or Lott would have the extra gear.

Oh, you need some juice. Well, a little bit. I mean, I thought we were going short yardage. I think even Dawkins has like can get there every now and then. Yeah, if you say you just got to have it, just get it first down. You said got to have it. I'm thinking short yardage. I'm talking entire drive. I'm not going John Lynch if that's the case. We'll just go third one John Lynch. Am I going two-minute drill? Not necessarily four-minute. Four-minute kind of closing the game? Oh, four-minute. Not a four-minute closing the game, but like four-minute need a score.

Got to go 60 yards. And I can have any safety. Field goal or touchdown. Correct. I think Paul Moll will be too wild. He'd be back there trying to make people miss. He'll give you an 80-yard gain every now and then, but he'll give you a 15-yard loss every now and then, too. Ball security would be a little bit. Yes. Yes, I could see that. Yeah. I think that's fair. I was thinking, like, short yardage, got to have it. I was not thinking four-minute drive. Like, can't chance the ball. No. God, no. Stiff.

All we need is three yards. Fall down. Stiff as the day is long. Honey Badger be a good tailback? He'd be versatile. Stop. Stop. All right. If Darren Sproles can run tailback, don't say we're too small. If you want to shrink him down six inches? Mr. Receiver, did you say we? Short Kings. We're here. Okay. Got to lean into it. Wow. Somebody said Sean Taylor. Oh, yeah.

All of it. He could do all of it. Downhill, get you two yards, short yardage. Outside, break one. Yeah, he could go. Got a Rodney Harrison? Tennessee safety. Eric Berry. Eric Berry. Eric Berry might be. Eric Berry would draw a targeting foul on offense. He was more of a thumper than he was. He was more of a thumper than he would be like a rangy guy. He was trying to run the stretch and big dogs are running power. Like, okay, he's looking for contact. One cut. You got one before we go? I thought you had another one.

Just trying to think of like some good ones. I mean, safety is just such a different older, but Jack safety is like quarterback. It's just such a different position than running back. Like the body types are different. Like it's just, I don't know. It's hard for me to like envision a guy at safety.

and put him at running back. My initial thought would be like Bob Sanders. That's a good one, though. You know what I mean? Like Bob Sanders running inside-outside zone? Yes. If you were to change uniforms, Bob Sanders would have looked like Doug Martin, like muscle hamster. Bob Sanders ran like a running back. Yes. When I watch Ed Reed play football...

The way he runs, I honestly feel like he could play every position outside of quarterback. Probably. And actually, I've seen him throw the ball. He throws the ball pretty well. But you could put him in the slot. You could put him at tailback. You could put him at linebacker. You could rush him off the – like it's same. Like he could just – he feels like he could just do it, all of it. Yeah. So, all right. Iconic cards can do it all for you too, Greg. Yes, they can. They'll let you rent four and six passenger golf cards, which gives you a great –

Kind of feel for what you might need if you want to add these to a week into family fun, potentially to a corporate event. The evolution of Denago carts are amazing. They're 2024 and they're street legal. Tons of options.

touchscreen controls, lithium power, a lot of upgrades that you can put into the golf cart. I've been thinking about adding one to the neighborhood, the beach, the lake. Iconic Carts has you covered with the best selection in town. They're in two locations, downtown and in Chelsea, and they have master technicians who are qualified to work on all makes and models of carts and off-road vehicles. Go check them out in one of those two spots, or you can go online, iconiccarts.com. All right, when we come back, name...

Teams you need to know on SEC football teams that you might not know. We'll discuss that right after this on Mac and Cube in the morning. Catch up with all things McElroy and Kubelik in the morning by subscribing to the podcast. Mythically, he's grown. He's almost like a little bit bigger than a player, right? Like the myth of Bo Jackson. Like, rate, and download the show from the Jock Tap or wherever you get your podcasts. All right, welcome back in. McElroy and Kubelik in the morning. Appreciate you tuning in. We have covered a...

A plethora of topics on a lot of random things. I feel like the last two segments of the show were all just a big top three. That's good. A good top three. That's good. Not a normal top three. Some people liked it. Some people thought it was just a complete waste of time. Well, it was, but that's why it's the night. But it was entertaining. It's also the 9 o'clock hour. It was entertaining. It was. Do a top three on the hour. It's 9 o'clock's third. Yeah. Just like days of the week. By this point, I'm half buzzed on my coffee. Just half, huh? Yeah. Well, I peak buzz at 8.15.

Oh, it's coming back down to earth. You're still ramping up. Man. That'd be aggressive.

We know who's number one, though. That's your CBD store. If you need a better night's sleep, better focus throughout the course of the day. If arthritis or anxiety are bothering you or your pet, your CBD store can help. Largest brick-and-mortar CBD retailer in the world. They focus their attention on being the best plant science company out there. Hundreds of different extracts in plants, and they work hard to find the ones that work best to study the different effects that they have. First company to have USDA-certified organic oil supplements. They've got that stamp seal on their products.

Go check out one of the four locations today. Highway 280 by Bailey Brothers, 150 by the Cajun Cleaver, Trustville, Just Off, 459, and now downtown in Five Points, your CBD store where good health hits home. Okay, I'm going to asterisk this with we understand that if you are a diehard fan of said team, you probably know who these people are. But for average people walking around the street that are not on message boards for said team every night, you might not know who these people are.

So we wanted to generate a little bit of a list of different guys on different teams in the SEC that you need to know that you may not know. So we will start it, Greg, with the Florida Gators, a player that you feel like folks need to know about that might not be on the front of their minds. There's a bunch. This was actually one of the tougher teams for me. I don't know about you doing this exercise. This is easy for me. Really? Yes.

Jacoby Jackson's the guy I'm going with. Who are you going with? Okay. I'm going with Jaden Ball. Okay, so both running backs. Yeah. We got action. And probably both going to play early because Montreux's out. Exactly. I'm glad that we're kind of going on the same path. Jaden Ball, 6'1", 235. If you watch him in the spring game, he's got a little bit of wiggle for a kid that big. When I talked to folks down there after the spring game, all confirmed that he was over 230. I couldn't believe it. He did not look like he was 230 the way that he was running. Yeah.

and has not necessarily been, I'm going to say, lightning speed, full speed ahead in camp, but has done some impressive things, and I think when he gets the opportunity, people are going to like what they see. Well, what I would say about Ba, I think he's rock solid watching the spring.

I think Jacoby Jackson's come on, though. Supposedly, he's had really solid fall camp up to this point, based on the folks I've been talking to. I also have heard really good things, really good things about their depth along the offensive line. So it's really kind of speaking more to the run game, not dropping off in the absence of Montrell Johnson. When we...

talked about that injury originally we're like oh it's not a guy that you can lose well I'm feeling better about that now as we've progressed so really pumped about it uh and I will say like you said there's a couple here like Joey Slackman the Ivy League transfer great things uh not just on the field but in the locker room and around the facility so there are multiple guys Kenaji Harris on the offensive line one that you'll probably hear about this year is gonna be doing some good things

Like Greg said, a couple of different players you could have chosen from there. As I think we're going to say the same thing about Arkansas, where there could be numerous players that we would look at and say, okay, you need to know that guy. Where did you go with the Razorbacks? This one was very difficult. I'm going to let you go first. I'm really curious for the same guy. It's easy for me. It's Xavier and Story. That's not where I was going. Most people would say, oh, well, he's a linebacker who transferred from Georgia. So if Georgia offered him out of high school –

The kid can probably play. We should know who he is. I just don't think a lot of people even know he's there. And I think they are going to do their best. I mean, if you have all the talent, all the ability and you can hit and you're not playing, I think we usually know what's going on there. They are going to design this defense and simplify this defense to the point that it allows him to be on the field a lot of the time. Like he's that kind of a talent.

So I think number 10 on that Arkansas defense, you're going to need to know his name because they're going to do their best to put in position to make plays. I think that's a good one. I'm going Isaiah Sategna. He is slot receiver, not a guy that's huge by any stretch. Had a couple moments last year. If you look at some of the numbers from last year,

it's a little tricky to, to look at the Andrew Armstrong's of the world who also comes back. Tyrone Brodin coming back as well. Isaiah Satagna is the guy that's named kind of has come up with the people I've talked to at Arkansas is being a very dependable, solid slot player for them. And in this offense, I look at where they're going.

I think that this offense is going to struggle to be really consistent in the passing game. So the guy that's nearest the ball is going to get a lot of looks and the RPO stuff. They're going to get to take a bunch of touches. So I anticipate a pretty big year from him. I'm hearing good things about Taylor and green. And I did not have a ton of confidence watching his tape from Boise, but apparently he's taken some steps and I'll say this one, watch out for Andrew Armstrong because they are going to push the ball down the field at times. And he is the guy that Bobby thinks can get down the field and go attack the football. Yeah.

He will be utilized. And that's probably another one that a lot of people are not really aware of. It's tough to go Alabama, Greg, because us here, our listeners, there's who are we going to throw out the people say who I just don't think there really is that guy, maybe outside of a freshman that none of us have really seen play that could come in, but I'm going to try to go with the guy that a lot of people may not be familiar with that. I think could really help this team this year. The problem with where I'm going is I think it's a very crowded position and

And I'm interested to see how they utilize this position because it has been utilized in this offense. But I don't know how many of these different guys they're going to need. And it's Danny Lewis at tight end. I think he gives you a little bit different length than the rest of the players at tight end. Yeah, he may have maybe comparatively to Dupree and Robbie Utes, a different gear than they have.

So he may offer like a different body type and a little bit different speed perspective than some of the other bodies they have there. But I think if he can get going, he can be a guy that could really help this offense over the course of the year. I like to play there. I don't have any problems with it. Like you said, just a deep group. And I think there'll be multiple at tight end for sure. A bunch of guys will play.

But they all kind of fill the same role. So it's hard for me to anticipate, hey, this guy's going to get extra run. He does have a different length than some of the others. But is he ultimately going to be a real contributor in the passing game? I'm not anticipating that. Yeah, monster year, I don't think that's really feasible. But help a lot? Glue guy. Yeah, kind of be that guy. For sure. I'm going Justin Jefferson.

linebacker off the ball. We talked last year a lot about the importance of Deontay Lawson and Jihad Campbell. That kind of goes without saying, right? It's...

that those guys stay healthy. But in the event in which one of those guys misses some time, and if they get more depth situationally, I think Justin Jefferson can help him. The other guy would be Quay Russo. So I'm going to go to... I continue to hear his name. He was a guy they were real excited about in the spring. Got to polish some things up, but there's cautious optimism that...

That will come in time. So while a lot of people are focusing on some of the other edge defenders, the Q Robinson, the Keanu Cotts, the Yonzee Piers, one of those guys on Keely, somebody's going to, somebody's going to start ripping. And if I were to put money on it right now, it'd be Quay Russo. Totally fair. Cause I agree with you. We've, we've all, you and I both have been had all those names mentioned to us at times. One of them is going to break out to a certain extent.

Let's just go Auburn since we go Alabama. If you listen to this show, you've heard him. But just in general, you might not know him. I'm going to go Jeremiah Wright. He'll play right guard this year. He's played some guard. He's played some tackle. Mentally, it took a little while for the light to turn on the way that it needed to, but apparently it's there now. And he has that different gear. He can be a people mover on the offensive line. He has the nasty that you want your guys to have in a very different way than a lot of other groups have offensively.

And if everything, if he's healthy, he's dropped a little bit of weight, that needed to happen. If all systems were go for 77, Greg, he could be somebody that really helps the sovereign football team. And you're going to need to know his name. Well, I've heard something kind of unique. And someone's going to kind of have to help me out here. I've heard Bryce Kane's name all the time. I've probably heard it four or five different times since camp.

And it's unsolicited. Like, Hey, who's, who's looked good. Well, all the freshmen receivers, but I'll tell you what, the guy that nobody's talking about is Bryce Kane. Then I'm looking at his measurables. I'm like, how is this guy going to get on the field? You see his numbers? I mean, he's, he's a, he's 150 pounds soaking wet. Now. I don't know if that's a hundred percent true. Maybe he's heavier than that.

But at 160, 165. Dangerous, but if he can just be a little bit of a gadget change-up guy, all of a sudden. Ontario McCaleb type? Like, what is he going to be, I guess? That's what I'm trying to figure out. Screen him, put him in the backfield, hit him out of the backfield, jet him a little bit. He's a name that unsolicited has come up at least three or four or five different times in camp so far. And I saw the numbers on his roster. I was like, what?

Yep. He, Malcolm Simmons, Perry Thompson, all along with Cam Coleman. Simmons has crazy juice. Perry Thompson, there's been buzz about him, and we know Cam Coleman. He's the real deal. If we're going under the radar, guys, guys, names you need to know that you might not know right now, Bryce Cain's that guy. Okay. That's a good one. Let's go Georgia Bulldogs. Once again, similar to Alabama, it's going to be hard to throw out a guy's name and people say, oh, you're probably going to know him if you follow Georgia at all.

But I'm going to stretch a little bit here. I don't even know if he'll be an every down player at any point. But a name that you need to know is Gabe Harris on defense. Number 29. He'll play some edge. He'll play some off the ball outside linebacker. He'll play some defensive end. But all I'm going to tell you is this. And I have had this confirmed from what he does in practice. He is legitimately a trained killer.

He might not go the right way. He might not do the right thing. But he is going to absolutely thump somebody on every play. He is going to try to punish the person in front of him. And if they can get him going the right way on a regular basis, I think he can wreck some offenses. So 29 at Georgia defense, Gabe Harris is a name I think you need to know because –

He will impact something at some time this season for Georgia. Love that. The guy's name that continues to pop up with the people I talk to is Ben Ursek, tight end transfer from Stanford. Now, if you've listened to our conversations here, it's probably a name you've heard, but I've heard rave reviews. I mean, if you look at what he's done the last couple years at Stanford, 108 catches, 1,300 yards, five touchdowns, but he also carried the football 14 times.

for over 100 yards. So he's got that versatile weaponry that Brock Bowers utilized in his career. And I think that based on how things have kind of gone, I mean, he missed most of last year, so he's flying under the radar a bit. A lot of people will focus on Oscar Delp. I think a bunch of people will like Lawson Lucky. He had a lot of hype going into last season before he was sidelined with that ankle injury. But Juracek is the name that continues to pop up.

They love him. Playmaker is how I heard him described when discussing him in that offense. All right, a lot more to get to from around the SEC. We'll keep throwing you names of guys that we think you need to know that maybe you're not familiar with or haven't heard of on SEC rosters. But quickly, Greg, tell our listeners about Bromberg's. Okay, we stopped right before Texas A&M, Greg, and I think this will be almost a bit of a throwaway because I think we're going to both follow Billy Lucci with where he went the other morning on the show. Where are you going? Terry Bussey. Yeah. I'm not sure how you can go elsewhere based on some of the rave reviews he's generated in camp. That has to be the direction you head. Yep, I would go there as well.

And I think he's somebody that has a chance to make a big impact this season. And as Billy told us, possibly on both sides of the ball, doing some different things. So let's roll on to the Missouri Tigers, a name that folks might not know that they need to know, not named Armand Mimbu on this football team. Because if you listen to our show and you don't know that name, then...

Shame on you. He's saying it's about you right there? Just saying. We've talked about him enough that folks should know by now. Well, you think he's the GOAT? Of right tackles in the SEC this year, yes. Well, that's a list of only, well, technically, the fact that you're acknowledging right tackle, I just put him in a tackle bucket. He's the best right tackle in the SEC right now. So would he be all SEC to you? Yes, because I actually go by position and not by position group.

Just lump them all in there together. Yeah. DB. He could play safety. I don't go four tackles in a guard with my preseason all SEC offensive line. Amazing. Sorry. Yeah. Amazing. That's where I'd probably go to Mambo. I mean, oh, no, I'm saying not there. I would go Brett Norfleet tight end. Oh, he's been around, but he's a sophomore.

You need to know his name. Has he played? Yes, he's played. And yes, he is a mauler up front, big in the run game, but a guy that I don't think a lot of people know who he is that you're going to need to know this upcoming season. Yeah, I got no problem with that one whatsoever. I was going Mimboo. Okay, I love it. You do know his name. Yeah. That's a win for you. The other guy I would say is Toriano Pride.

transfer from Clemson. So good corner, solid piece. And I think that was a nice addition given what they lost off last year with Chris Havens, rain is rakes raw end of the NFL. All right, Mississippi state. This one a little bit different from the opposite reasons for Alabama and Georgia is a lot of new faces. A lot of people that folks don't even know who they are. Probably some state fans, not even familiar with everybody on the roster, but I'm going to go with somebody that was on the roster that I think has a chance to

to have a bit of a breakout season, and that's Don Terry Russell. 36 on defense has bend, has twitch, has speed. Now he's light, so can he just live out there at that Jack linebacker position in Coleman Holzer's system? It's going to be tough, but I'll tell you this. He does not back down. Pulling guard, whatever it is, tight end coming his way in split zone, like he will take on anybody. I just don't know how it's going to play out over the course of the season, but he's

One of the guys I think up front that could make an impact for Mississippi State defensively. Yeah, I think that's probably good. I've found kind of as I've gone through some of this, a lot of this is kind of based a little bit positions of concern. Because those are usually the questions that I'm asking insiders about.

And I've found more and more with Mississippi State, I'm going to linebacker. Brandon Jennings is a guy that I've heard some really nice things about, which is encouraging. Kind of had some ups and downs in his career, some

And went to Maryland and, you know, it's just tricky. It's UCF and it's kind of been all over the place, but sounds like he's in a pretty good spot to have a solid impact defensively on a group that desperately needs.

some help defensively. So he's one of the lone bright spots I've heard about on that side of the ball over the last few months. All right, we'll knock out Ole Miss and then we'll go to break and try to get the rest on the other side. But this is a tough one because so many guys on this team have made so much noise either because they've transferred, because they were ranked highly in the transfer portal. I'm going to go with the name that people should know.

And a name that is not one that really has been disguised, but I think because there have been so many high profile guys that have come in, he's one that people are talking about.

maybe the least or at least a lot less than others. And it's linebacker Chris Paul Jr. from Arkansas, 74 tackles last year. The kid can flat out play. I don't know another way to say it. And he's a bigger body than they've had at linebacker in the past. He'll be great in Pete's system. But Chris Paul Jr., a name that you need to know for Ole Miss football right now. Yeah, it's a good one. And I think that with all the other additions, it's easy to get lost in the shuffle. Like, okay, so you're not on the same level as a Walter Nolan player.

It doesn't mean you can't still be excellent. I'm going to actually kind of go down a different path. A guy that's been there, but has never really had this opportunity. Y'all Ulysses Bentley is a name that you need to know. And maybe you know that because you've listened to this, but I think most people are like, well, who else carried the ball outside of Quinn Sean Judkins the last couple of years? Ulysses Bentley is a name that college football fans are not super familiar with, but they need to familiarize themselves quickly. They're going to run the football at Ole Miss. They don't have to run the football at,

with one guy the way they did the last few years. But I still think if they were to go down the bell cow rabbit hole, Ulysses Bentley would be that guy. And I think he's got a chance to have a really, really nice impact this season. All right, so that's the majority of the league. We've got a couple more that we'll get to on the other side. All right, back to our list. Players you might need to know. Kentucky Wildcats next on the board, Greg. Which way are you going for the Cats? This one was tough for me. I don't know about you. I kind of struggled here, but I felt...

having called some of his games to tell people about what Chip Trainum is. Chip Trainum is their transfer running back from Ohio State. This guy's a thumper, man. Former linebacker. It's going to get downhill. I think he's going to be very, very physically imposing. He's a one cut back, so he's not a guy that's going to dance. And I like with this system how that's going to contribute to what their offense is ultimately going to be. They're still going to run stretch zone. They're still going to do all the things they've always done. But with a guy that's this decisive in his cuts...

that should hopefully he's going to put it this way. He's going to make some yards after contact. I can promise you that broken hands. Uh, interesting to see kind of his availability early in the season. Uh, they're running back for the wild. I haven't heard these. These are going to be out. Uh, yeah, just questionable. We'll see. Yeah. Um, I'm going to go Jamori Macklin wide receiver. That's transferring in from North Texas. Uh, also been in Missouri. Um, uh,

Not as big as some of the other receivers on the roster, but I'm told from a leadership perspective and production, he's been great. Everybody's going to focus on Dane Key, Barry on Brown, some of the others. But I think Macklin is a guy that's going to be able to help that Kentucky offense in a name that you should probably know. Love it. Moving on to the Texas Longhorns.

Which now, I guess, with the running back situation, this is one that could become interesting there as well. But where do you go for Texas? I'm going Malik Muhammad, corner. Biggest position of concern last year was the secondary. They got crushed in the bowl game. It cost them the Oklahoma game, I think, to an extent. So this is, I think, for sure, their best cover corner at the moment. Him and Derek Williams...

We'll hopefully solidify that secondary with the addition of a couple other guys as well. So Malik Muhammad, Manny Muhammad, as they call him out there in Texas, he'd be a guy that I'd kind of keep an eye on this year. Trey Moore, everybody should know UTSA edge transfer has been great since he arrived on campus, was great at UTSA. But Colin Simmons, the freshman after him, saw a little bit of him in the spring game. Good length, big wingspan.

edge rusher, maybe off the ball a little bit, but they love his ability. And I think a guy that they're going to find different ways to get on the field and will help this Texas defense this season. Oklahoma.

Greg, a name that folks should know that may not know who you're going with with the Sooners. This one, if you've been listening to this show, you definitely know who this person is. Dion Burks is the guy I was big time. I'm going to go with like he's got all American potential. I don't think another people I don't think enough people know who this guy is, but I'm going to give you one extra one. Caden Woolard, defensive line transfer from Miami, Ohio.

Just a big dude. 6'4", 260, but was very, very productive in pass rush situations last year. 13.5 sacks. I'm staying on that defensive line. I'll go Jaden Jackson. Freshman coming in. He's been there. They like him. They think he and David Stone both can help. Stone got the most publicity coming out, but Jaden Jackson, the one that's been the most consistent. All right, rapid fire. South Carolina? I think Lenore Sellers, their quarterback. I'll go TJ Sanders. Defensive tackle. He's already been productive, but people just don't know who he is. LSU?

Gosh, this one's a million of directions. I'm going Ashton Stamps corner. Don McKinley, freshman defensive tackle, apparently described to me as a monster so far through camp. And Tennessee, which direction are you going? This one was tough, but I'm going corner.

And I'm going Jermod McCoy, the transfer from Oregon State. They need corners to play well based on what happened a year ago. I'm going to go with tight end Ethan Davis. They love his athleticism and a position that's more important in the offense than people believe. Yeah, he's a guy that I think could have a pretty good year for the Vols. So, Vandy? Don't have one. Wow. Don't even have one? I do, but there's not enough time. Oh. We'll get to that one tomorrow.
