I think a lot of people are definitely concerned about it. I mean, right now we're looking to buy a new car and I'm glad it got pushed back. I think it'll continue to get pushed back, but.
I'm going to buy a car, whether or not that happens. I think Trump is smart enough to know that a lot of people are worried about it. And if car taxes and tariffs and everything goes up 25 percent, it's going to have a huge impact on the economy and a lot of people are going to be affected. So I think he's smart enough to kind of know that and people are prepared for whatever is going to come. But yeah, I'm.
going to buy a car regardless. I don't support the policy. I do believe it will make the prices go up for consumers, especially a car here. I see that over 60 percent of the parts are manufactured in Mexico. So I think that it would probably raise the prices significantly. But it didn't necessarily take I didn't take that into account, you know, deciding on if I was going to purchase now. But if I did notice the prices go up, I'd probably wait.
Oh, yes, yes. There will be a rise in prices due to the fact that the costs for shipping in and out will rise due to public demand because people are still going to want cars and auto businesses still have to make money.
and they would have to make the balance up, you know, any way they can. So, depending upon the structure of the tariffs, we'll decide the amount prices will go up on vehicles or down. No, I think it's a terrible idea. It's just a tax. It's going to raise the price on everything, risk causing a trade war. It's not good for the country, tariffs. And the earnings-less lifetime makes a super deal with other countries.
So yeah, this is Costco and then I just live next building. So in case, you know, it's trending up, the prices are trading up, then I'd probably like stock up on goods, groceries and stuff like that. If there are unfair trade practices that are being used by a country or different countries,
It's a good way to try to rectify the problem and to get all countries to agree, for instance, to what the rules of the World Trade Organization are. I don't necessarily agree that tariffs are the best way to address the problems with Canada and Mexico.
But China clearly is an outlier on adhering to the normal rules of trade. So I think those are it's a legitimate use of of tariffs.
