习近平同白俄罗斯总统卢卡申科举行会谈

President Xi Jinping held talks with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in Beijing yesterday. Lei Shuran has more.

国家主席习近平昨天（03/01）在北京与白俄罗斯总统亚历山大·卢卡申科举行了会谈。记者雷舒然带来详细报道。

President Xi stressed the two countries should enhance political mutual trust, adding China appreciates Belarus’s firm support for its justified position on issues related to Taiwan, Xinjiang, HongKong, and on human rights.

习主席强调，中白双方要不断增进政治互信，并表示中方高度赞赏白方在涉台、涉疆、涉港、人权等问题上坚定支持中方正当立场。

Xi said the two sides should firmly support each other’s choice of development path, support each other in safeguarding【维护】respective core interests, oppose external interference【干涉】in internal affairs, and protect their sovereignty and political security.

习近平指出，双方应坚定支持彼此选择的发展道路，支持对方维护本国核心利益，反对外部势力干涉内政，维护两国主权和政治安全。

The two presidents agreed to expand economic and trade cooperation. They pledged to jointly implement the China-proposed Global Development Initiative and Global Security Initiative.

两国领导人同意扩大经济贸易合作，并承诺共同实施中国提出的全球发展倡议和全球安全倡议。

Lukashenko said Belarus is willing to strengthen coordination with China on major international and regional issues and jointly commit to safeguarding international security and stability.

卢卡申科表示，白方愿加强与中方在重大国际和地区问题上的协调，共同致力于维护国际安全和稳定。

The two heads of state also exchanged viewson the Ukraine crisis and other issues. Xi noted China has already released apaper stating its position on the political settlement of the crisis.

两国元首还就乌克兰危机等问题交换了意见。习近平指出，中方已经发布关于政治解决乌克兰危机的中国立场文件。

China’s position boils down to supporting talks for peace, Xi stressed, calling for adherence【坚持】to the direction of political settlement, abandoning the Cold War mentality, respecting legitimate【合理的】security concerns, and helping forge a balanced, effective and sustainable European security architecture.

习近平强调，中国立场的核心就是劝和促谈，呼吁坚持政治解决方向，抛弃冷战思维，尊重各国的合理安全关切，以构建一个均衡、有效、可持续的欧洲安全架构。

Instead of politicizing the world economy or using it as a tool, countries should do things that are conducive【有益的】to a ceasefire【停火】 and the peaceful settlement of the crisis, Xi said.

习近平表示，有关国家应停止将世界经济政治化、工具化，应做真正有利于实现停火和和平解决危机的事情。

Lukashenko said the Belarusian government fully agrees and supports China’s proposals on the political settlement of the Ukraine crisis.

卢卡申科表示，白方完全赞成和支持中方关于政治解决乌克兰危机的主张。

2.MAWANGDUI’S ARTIFACTS DEBUTIN SHANGHAI EXHIBITION

长沙马王堆文物精品首度来沪

A total of 138 artifacts unearthed【使出土】from the Mawangdui Han Dynasty Tomb will be showcased at Minhang Museum beginning tomorrow. The Mawangdui excavation【发掘】 between 1972 and 1974 was one of the world’s major archaeological【考古学的】 discoveries of the 20th century. Zhang Yue has the story.

明日（03/03）起，马王堆汉墓出土的138件文物将在闵行博物馆展出。长沙马王堆汉墓于1972至1974年发掘，是20世纪全球最重要的考古发现之一。记者张乐带来报道。

The Mawangdui Han Tomb is in Changsha City, Hunan Province. It belonged to the family of the prime minister of Changsha State during the Han Dynasty about 2,000 years ago. The tomb contained there mains of Marquis Li Cang, his wife Xin Zhui, and their son.

马王堆汉墓位于湖南省长沙市，为约2000多年前的西汉长沙国丞相利苍的家族墓葬。墓中有丞相利苍、其妻辛追及其子的遗体。

Xin’s remains were exceptionally well-preserved, and archaeologists also found hundreds of artifacts and documents in her final resting place. One of the highlights is a 1-meter-long dress that weighs no more than 0.05 kilograms.

辛追的遗骸保存得非常完好，考古学家还在她的墓地中发现了数百件文物和文献。其中一个亮点是一件长达1米但重量不到0.05公斤的衣服。

“We’ve an old saying to describe this kind of dress, which is "as thin as the wings of a cicada and as light as smog". It looks very long, but if you fold it up, the cloth can be put into a matchbox and it weighs even less than an egg.”

“因为古人有句诗：薄如蝉翼，轻若烟雾，就是形容素纱单衣，这件古衣看着衣袖很长，但是它折叠起来，甚至可以放入一个火柴盒，它的重量比一颗鸡蛋都轻。

One of the exhibition’s highlights is a lacquered makeup box that belonged to Xin, who is also known as Lady Dai. The box measures 20.8 centimeters tall and 35.2 centimeters in diameter and contains nine little compartments for different types of makeup.

展览的一大亮点是辛追（又称戴夫人）的漆制梳妆盒。该盒高20.8厘米，直径35.2厘米，内部有九个小隔间可以放置不同种类的梳妆用具。

“All those vessels were placed in the tomb exactly how Lady Dai used to have them when she was alive. It’s quite a shock! ”

“这些梳妆用具的摆放很有讲究，完全是根据辛追夫人生前所使用的习惯来还原布局，因此给人的观感会很震撼。”

The exhibition is open free to the public until May 3rd.

该展览对公众免费开放，将持续到5月3日。

3.CHINA SLAMS US 'SUPPRESSION' OVER FRESH TIKTOKBAN

美推动法案为拜登封禁TIKTOK赋权，外交部回应

China’s foreign ministry today expressed opposition to the United States’ repeated over-stretching of the concept of national security and abusing national power.

外交部今日（03/02）表示，坚决反对美国一再泛化国家安全概念，滥用国家力量。

The statement came in response to the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee’s decision yesterday, to give US President Joe Biden the power to ban TikTok in the United States.

该声明是对美国众议院外交事务委员会昨天（03/01）决定赋予总统拜登在美国封禁TikTok的权力的回应。

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson MaoNing said the U.S. should earnestly respect the principles of market economy and fair competition, stop suppressing【打压】the relevant enterprises, and provide an open, fair and non-discriminatory environment for enterprises from all countries in the U.S.

中国外交部发言人毛宁表示，美方应当切实尊重市场经济和公平竞争原则，停止打压有关企业，为各国企业在美国的投资经营提供开放公平和非歧视的环境。
