习近平将向《生物多样性公约》第十五次缔约方大会第二阶段高级别会议开幕式致辞

President Xi Jinping will address the opening ceremony of the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity viavideolink tomorrow. The second part of COP 15 is being held from December 7th to 19th in Montreal, Canada. It is tasked with formulating and adopting the post 2020 Global Bio-diversity Framework. The first part of COP 15 was held last October in Kunming, China.

国家主席习近平将于12月15日以视频方式，向《生物多样性公约》第十五次缔约方大会（COP15）第二阶段高级别会议开幕式致辞。此次会议将于12月7日至19日在加拿大蒙特利尔举办。会议旨在制定并通过“2020年后全球生物多样性框架”。第十五届缔约方大会的第一阶段会议于去年10月在中国昆明举办。

新冠“特效药”网售被叫停

The nation’s drug regulator had granted approval to two types of oral COVID-19 drugs earlier this year– Pfizer’sPaxlovidand China Genuine Biotech’s Azvudine. After an online pharmacy started accepting orders for Paxlovid, the drug was quickly removed. Song Wenjing tells us why.

今年早些时候，国家药监局批准了两种新冠口服药物，分别是辉瑞公司的奈玛特韦片/利托那韦片（Paxlovid）和河南真实生物科技公司的阿兹夫定片。奈玛特韦片/利托那韦片挂网开售没多久，已快速下架。记者宋文婧带来详细原因。

An online pharmacy began taking orders for Pfizer’s Paxlovid COVID-19 oral drug yesterday. It was priced at 2,980 yuan per box. But it was swiftly removed as its doctors said they weren’t authorized to prescribe the medicine.The National Medical Products Administration granted conditional approval for imports of Paxlovid in February. The drug can be given to patients who are seniors or have kidney disease,diabetes【糖尿病】,cardiovascular【心血管的】 disease, or chronic【慢性的】 lung diseases. However, medical experts say the drug isn’t suitable for all patients with a chronic disease.

一家网络售药平台昨天（12/13）上架辉瑞新冠病毒治疗药物奈玛特韦片/利托那韦片，定价为每盒2980元人民币。相关医生表示，在线平台不能自主开方零售该药品，已快速下架。今年2月，国家药监局附条件批准奈玛特韦片/利托那韦片进口注册。老年人、患有肾脏疾病、糖尿病、心血管疾病或慢性肺部疾病者均可服用。然而，医学专家表示，这种药物并不适合所有慢性病患者。

There are many drug interactions. For example, if a patient is taking Paxlovid while taking statin drugs to lower cholesterol【胆固醇】, it may cause an adverse reaction like muscle, kidney or lung damage.

药物相互作用是蛮多的，比如说他还在吃他汀类的药物来降低胆固醇，那么这个药物和它联合起来一起用的话，可以引起毒副反应，比如说肌肉毛病，像肾功能、肝功能会引起损伤。

The oral antiviral drug, Azvudine, developed by Genuine Biotech in Henan Province, was given conditional approval for COVID-19 in July. However, the medicine is also not available on online pharmacies. Medical experts say the two COVID drugs were given conditional approval, therefore should be used for strict indications. Experts say selling either online would increase the risk of drug abuse and misuse of the medicines.

由河南真实生物科技有限公司研发的新冠口服药阿兹夫定片今年7月获得了附条件批准，但尚未在线上平台开售。医学专家表示，这两款药是特殊时期应急附条件审批的药，严格规定了适应症。如果贸然把药放到网络平台，只会增加滥用乃至错用的风险。

Two administrative buildings in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv were damaged today in a drone attack. Initial reports do not contain any information on the number of potential injuries or fatalities. Lei Shuran has more.

The Mayor of Kyiv said Ukrainian air-defense systems shot down 10 drones and that there were explosions in the city’s central downtown district.A cluster of university buildings, galleries and restaurants were seen on fire after the attack. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that at least 1.5 billion euros is needed for the restoration of Ukrainian power grid【输电网】 as a result of Russian attacks. He said nearly 12 million people in Ukraine have no access to electricity. Rafael Grossi, the director of the International Atomic Energy Agency announced his decision to deploy safety and security missions to all nuclear power plants in Ukraine on Monday. U.S. officials said Tuesday that the Washington is poised to approve sending a Patriot missile battery to Ukraine. The approval is likely to come later this week and could be announced as early as Thursday. The Patriot would be the most advanced surface-to-air missile system the West has provided to Ukraine.
