Hello, you are listening to My First Podcast, a magical world of sounds made just for you and your grown-ups to enjoy together. I'm Lucy. How are you today? In My First Podcast, we learn about sounds and the words that go with them. There are so many sounds that we hear every day. Woofs, splats, wallops and toots.
tickling in your ear sounds and crashing far too noisy sounds. Each day is filled with wonderful sounds. And of course, we can make sounds ourselves too. Hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo. Did you hear that? I'm hooting, which is like the sound of an owl. An owl is a bird with big eyes that comes out at night and hoots softly. Hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo.
Can you try making an animal sound too? Maybe your grown-ups can show you. It's time for our sound adventure. But before we can go on our adventure, we need our magical bag of sounds. Where are you, bag of sounds? Ah, hello, bag. I'm excited to find out what you've got in store for today's adventure. Let's open the bag and take a listen.
Ooh, the sounds are all swirling around. It's quite noisy. Can you hear some of them? That's a piano, a musical instrument. I wonder if the piano will be in our adventure today. Let's see as we close the zip and mix them up nicely.
Let's dive into our bag of sound and see what treasures can be found. A squeaky door, a bouncing ball. Let's open up and hear them all. One, two, three. Hmm, do you know what this is? Let's have another listen. You're right, it's a chicken.
Now on to sound number two. I wonder which sound will pop out next? Ah, do you know what this animal is? It's a baby animal. That's right, it's a chick. A chick is a little baby chicken that makes soft peeping sounds. Thank you, Magic Bag, for giving us two sounds for today's adventure. A chicken and a chick.
Now we only need one more sound to start our adventure. And this sound will tell us where our adventure takes place. It could be outside or inside. We could be near a lake or in a cafe. Where will our sound adventure be? Let's open the bag one more time. We're definitely outside. I can hear cows mooing and a tractor running.
That can only mean one thing. We are on a farm. So for today's sound adventure, we are on a farm with a chicken and a chick. And this is Jake. Hi, Jake. Jake is on the farm with his friends visiting the animals. Listen out for the chicken and the little chirping chick. Here we go. BIRDS CHIRP
Jake and his friends are on a farm. The cows moo in the field. Jake opens the door to the barn. There are chickens in the barn. The chickens scratch and cluck. In the corner, a machine hums. Inside the machine are eggs. The egg cracks. A tiny chick pops out. It chirps.
More eggs wiggle and more chicks chirp. The chickens cluck loudly. They watch their little chicks emerge. How lovely to watch the eggs hatch! Jake and his friends are very lucky.
Now, let's listen again and see if you can spot the chicken and the chick. There are lots of them today. Shout out loud when you hear them. A chicken. The chicken's clucking. A little chick.
That's the chick. The chickens again.
Did you spot our sounds too? Brilliant! What a fun adventure we had hearing all the chicks hatch at the farm. Now it's time for us to put our sounds back in the bag. Bye chicken, bye chick. I hope we hear from you again soon. They're all safely back in the bag, ready for their next adventure. Before we go, let's sing our sound adventure song. Every day
we're learning new sound listen out to hear what we long ones and shorter ones beeps and player ones lower ones taps and chirps inside or outside we hear love to hear sounds big and small some close to what we have forever
Thanks for joining me on our sound journey today.
