Hello! You are listening to My First Podcast. A magical world of sounds made just for you and your grown-ups to enjoy together. I'm Lucy. How are you today? In My First Podcast, we learn about sounds and the words that go with them. There are so many sounds that we hear every day. Pitters and patters, squeaks, squawks and chirps.
tickling in your ear sounds and crashing far too noisy sounds. Each day is filled with wonderful sounds. And of course, we can make sounds ourselves too. Did you hear that? I'm breathing in and out like this. Can you make a sound too? Maybe your grown-ups can show you.
It's time for our sound adventure. But before we can start our adventure, we need our magical bag of sounds. Are you here, bag of sounds? Ah, here it is. This bag is full of exciting sounds for today's adventure. I wonder what's inside? Let's open the bag to take a little listen. The sounds are all swirling around. Can you hear some of them?
Oh, that's the sound of a coat being zipped up. Maybe a zip will be in our sound adventure today. Okay bag, it's time for you to pick our sounds. Let's close the bag and mix them up nicely. Let's dive into our bag of sound and see what treasures can be found. A spinning wheel, a clinking cup. Magic bag, let's open you up.
One, two, three. Hmm, that sounds like water. Let's have another listen. I know. It's the sound of water coming from a hose. A water hose is a long, bendy tube that carries water from one place to another. It's kind of like a big straw, but instead of drinking from it, you can use it to spray water.
Now on to sound number two. I wonder which sound will pop out next? Oh, do you know what this is? That's right, it's a football. Thank you Bag of Sounds for giving us two sounds for today's adventure. A water hose and a football. Now we only need one more sound to start our adventure. And this sound will tell us where our adventure takes place.
It could be outside or inside. We could be on a field or at a show. Where will our sound adventure be? Let's open the bag one more time. It sounds like we're outside. I can hear birds chirping and leaves rustling. I know, we are on a driveway. A driveway is a space outside your house where you can park a car. Sometimes you can also play there.
So for today's sound adventure we are on a driveway with a water hose and a football. And this is Harvey. Hello, Harvey. Harvey is on the driveway helping his dad wash the car. It's a lovely day and the sun is shining. The perfect weather for washing a car. I wonder when our sounds will pop up. Listen out for the water hose and the football. Can you spot them?
Then here we go! Harvey is with his dad on the driveway. Birds sing and children play on the street. Dad opens the outside tap and fills up a bucket of water with the hose. The bucket is full of water. Dad closes the outside tap.
Dad pours some car washing soap into his bucket of water. Harvey dips a sponge into the soapy water and squeezes tight. Water goes everywhere. Harvey loves the water. Harvey cleans the car with the sponge. The children kick a ball on the street. The car is covered in soap and bubbles.
Dad opens the tap and uses the water hose to wash off the bubbles. Now the car is sparkling clean. Dad beeps the car horn. He loves a clean car. Wow, Harvey had so much fun washing the car with his dad. Now let's listen again and see if you can spot the water hose and the football. Shout out loud when you hear them.
That's the water hose. The football. The football again. The water hose again. Did you spot our sounds too? Great job! What an exciting adventure we had!
Now it's time for us to put our sounds back in the bag. Bye water hose, bye football. There. They're all safely back in the bag, ready for their next adventure. Before we go, let's sing the sound adventure song. Every day learning new sounds. Listen out to hear what we find.
Long ones and shorter ones, beeps and blur. Higher ones, lower ones, taps and chirps. Inside or outside we hear, love to hear sounds big and small. Listen close to what we have heard, for every sound we'll
Thanks for joining me on our sound journey today.
