What does IT feel like when you you see my homes out there? Just take control of the game. Like, what does that feeling for you as a head go?
A bit like in the super ball. I'm telling you this, not rubin anything, but it's 这个 不要。 了。
Boys and girls, this is a hot seat today. Welcome back to new wave sports and the bar cast. Don't forget IT um new episodes come to every wednesday and subscribed on youtube or podcast follow on social media platforms at new high show with one s Jason, can you tell the people why these seats are so hard to I mean.
as you can tell a travis fumbling over the intro, we're nervous and we're nervous because this is the one interview we've been looking forward to do and sense. We started the show. We got the guy who's responsible for getten ness both into the nfl.
He's right here with us. He's the six three of an attacker from john mara, former coach. The year go to the every year in our book a second and career ends a amongst active had coaches. He is the only coat appear in four consecutive cover shame, age of games, two different franchise.
This year, he became a two time football champion, which is no, I should be said, but I I can't be said, but took the world by storm with a state farm commers last year, who proved that he does have acting a building that's IT. You know how that is? It's the big man, big grand.
Anyway, is the, I don't know how we got this to happen. I D trams. Finally, how did that happen? travis? Finally, issue.
yeah. No, he ask me. He kind of ask me where just on rap, you know, twitter or no IT wasn't twitter. I was on our x and I just bid on IT like a big dog.
But i'm in i'm and .
i'm fully in i'm in the greece to get other city but ready.
Are you upset that IT took so long from to like we're you waiting for us to ask .
you now i'd heard through the great vine that you guys were a little nervous and not that that's a good thing.
Do you have that effect on every player? Like is something about us you just .
want to listen if you guys are nervous. Yeah, i'd really be surprised all that we've gone through. Yeah, especially my left side.
I I got .
my right side .
in my live site into a man.
So start, we always do something new news, we go new and then you do your version. You this, yeah let's but first, as always, nose.
No, no, no nose.
Already to see what these new news is today.
B, what did you finally text to get .
the big the show? Man, I tell you what I am softly just said that mean, you would really appreciate if you would consider IT. And i'll till you walk, coach, you hit me with an all time liner.
And I really, really, maybe feel like I was, I was one of years you said that, man, you really don't do this kind of stuff, but you would do a backlit for the Kelsey's baby. J, I got a crazy bet. Have you ever done a bad fly?
know? You know what? believer. Now, I took gym nassik class. I IT.
I did how long? Yeah, that was about how high I got. IT, yeah. So IT was good. You know, we did the tramplin in the back flips and then did .
IT into the pit. Yeah, ma college .
and all the pretty girls are the domestic statement. I could do IT rent from them, and they were working out. You know, I kind of did. Yeah, not surprised. Yeah, yeah.
Because those days are over.
though. I say.
have tried to do a back lip pool. I can't do IT my like brain has like a point where I get like .
but half way head .
every time and I just not do that.
We need to bet a cheeseburger and .
you know how to do IT head .
back and role. When you .
first heard that we were doing a pocket or show in the middle of season, what is your reaction?
What did you think? Well, I know with you headed up the we be OK see.
I was a lot of pressure at there, but I worked out my my only worry .
was you're going to retire. You going to get so good at this. Yeah, you're gona retire. And I didn't think I was so good. I knew you keep him under controller.
See each other, the gambino and you definitely put in the you let me know that unless you've fully ready, retire.
you shoulder that one. I got lot. The tech I appreciate that is also some. Listen, if you do retire you you got a good gig.
Go on right here. Yeah, no with, yeah, we did up pretty good. But yeah, well, too much fun plane.
So this is a nice side huzzard. But I mean, both met in subtler last year gratulations, on number two, how many you been to? Five, six, six? I'm short changing you.
Three, three. H well, um yeah, congrats. Second one, appreciate. I do not to you.
only you. No, I was my time to get over five hundred. So let's go.
baby.
Let's go. Let's go, go. H, right now, let's get to this. And so addition of twelve board topics, my head coach.
So think we should start with the draft you ever seen drafted both of us and I don't know i've ever told you destroy, but I was an the probable one. You're and john goodman was sit there and though you guys had done a production meeting and he said, you know, I saw andy before one of the games and I said, so you draft to Jason, you draft the travers and he said your response was, I drafted Jason, I draft travis and there's any other courses out there. I'll draft them too so I ask you all right now on the spot, why is my daughter three years old if you're so coaching in eighteen years? Can we get another .
Kelsey draping solute .
you got a baby girl. Do you remember what .
LED to me getting drafted? And do you remember, I think we all remember what went to him getting traffic is all three of us were on the phone that day. I guess what's the story behind my mine and the time.
but was really easy. So you're a great player, little bit undersized, but had tremendous tough ghz speed. You were smart and dirty, tough.
And so I you know, that was an easy decision. Yeah and we need a center yes. And so you fit in. We just got rid all that line backer stuff and you gave you a hard mode and cut you loose yeah this guy I saw play against temple and my son kept on me this time in is rather is like, incredible, is two hundred and sixty five pounds is a beast.
And then I scouting, I know that I like two forty, but that's, but I remember that i'm a break back of memory for you. Games over, they just destroy the temple and I come over the locker, you're there and he comes, walk, be pop and out and just given me the business yeah like we're a long lost friends and i'm going IT deep down. I'm going if I get my hands on that sound of a book and the rip his heart but I played a lot.
Yeah, I cocky, cocky name is coffee. Yeah, just but listen, I I knew the roots. I knew the roots.
So for the first five years it's been IT was a war. The last five years been unable, able, know you travel the country to fifty states, fifty girls. I knew this show. I will show the show busy. Not we named plays after we went .
for play has been a half al play for a coach.
You know what he has, Constance.
not that show though. Not that .
show show. We run that show.
I don't body really.
do you think so? Back to draft night. Does travel get drafted if you don't? If you hadn't drafted me in new minority, but the red flags that were kind .
out there around them, yeah that would have been tough if you were in the league, I still would call you, yeah yeah I would code somewhere over code you and and checked on just to make sure because i'd heard the rumors about.
yeah what do you think now having no those rumors and now having coached him for ten years .
yeah so I like I said, for like the first five years, those rumors were pretty close. Yeah, for the next five years they've been awesome. Yes, I mean, he is washing, blessing a leader and army always been a great player.
But yeah, to menus later, big heart. T mates level. You're not the .
only leader .
in the family that .
I think is behind your coaching pilsen. Hy is, everybody is to lead in their own way, and trade does a his way. I do IT mine, um I think travels a personality he always cares about. His teammates always wants to win. He just little bit Young and trying to have a bit too much fun, but caught up.
never have too much.
I and I told both guys, let your personally show he through the .
flag at the official.
That was a, that's the difference.
As an amazing good. So I don't even know if we need to ask this, but who did you yell at most? There were here before.
I was, I was worse with him. Yeah no.
what boys .
left was IT was .
everyday baby. But listen, that's how you know that that's how I knew that you saw something in me though. So you are I in the best way did I say I was always ready? Just rock and old baby, no. Yeah, Young guys don't be RAID to get yelled that .
we got to ask this was to trave is very upset that he wasn't the first time and and draw his draft here. Was he the first title on the .
two draft board here? He actually was the first one. Really, you're not making the self. no. Now we we were going to get him. So we want, yeah, john r is part of double just I was was a slave. He was going to be a chief.
I know that.
And fired over .
right now. You let's .
give you going career rewind here, coach talks some coaching stories and let's talk a little coaching in the nfl. When did you first know that you wanted to be a head coaching in the league?
So I want be the best line coach ever OK, as I want to be college. And then if the process worked out to be the prose, and then my congress said, I need to get out of the box where achieved a quarter box. Listen to him, right? We listen the quarter l bags, yeah sometimes so good.
So I jump out the box and coach a time and then he goes, you got hit further on the box and go coached the correct ags. So I coached correct ags. And then once you get in that quarter back room, then you go, you know what um there is a chance of things gna happen yeah and so just because i'm coaching red for at that time was really test score back, right? So yeah, I was very fortunate to that opportunity. And so then know I had an idea that there would be a chance.
Do you think coaching off the .
line helped to you? absolutely.
Now what you think you can.
if you can coach the office of line, coach anything, because it's an abNormal? Yes, when you come out, eventually you're gna run, right? You onna craw, you going to walk, you're onna run, but you're not going to be in a three points. That doesn't come Normal. Now, that's right.
Do you like the only room more, or the courtier t room truth?
Ly, i'd like all three positions i've coach. I coached the center, the car in the tack, no, i've got to the line, the online, the corner bags and the tight ends had a blast, an authoring, and there are different personalities for each, each position. The online is the most stable of the group.
The corbeck, the corner bags, along with the center, have to know the most right. And so you're open to that world. They have to deal with the media, the organization and how they lead the organza and then the tight and are somewhere right in the middle that and and they're Normally a bit flap ant.
Second time, second time from now fully over yeah yeah .
yeah more chicken. You just talked .
about hole gram through B Y U um missouri, all the all the college teams. And even in the Green beer, even in filly, we'd like to talk mentors outside to just him. Are there any other mentors are really made impact here?
Yeah, absolutely. I was looking at have great high school coaches, youth coaches. High school coaches want to do your college.
Have great junior college coaches. And I was, we want champion chips going all the way along the line there. And and then I go to B, Y, U. And I ve got a half college coach and level adwords, who I was like the teacher's pet with him, treated me like gold. And I love him and his family.
And, and, and then I go into the college ranks and all these different places, the head coaches actually, with the same head coach at youtube and missouri lovestone yeah and phenomena ad coach and lyrical turn. And who you met, the old guy that was that practice, ninety eight years old people. So all these guys, I just I was so lucky to to be around and they are great manners for me, know.
And you take some from everybody as a coach and as a player. The same thing. yeah. So you take a little bit of something from and then you are you that's what create .
you yeah one thing people do not know or can really for them about the life of an nl coach, you give us any nugas .
a goal there yeah so um it's you're one of thirty two people in the whole world that have a chance to do IT yeah and and so you take on a certain attitude, I would love come to work and even the bad. And here you can have good days, bad days, but the bad days aren't that bad. yes.
And I think that's part of, I think the part dealing with the media people, pri don't understand that part of IT and how that's going to be worked and work through and the relationships that you develop the earn handle that. So i'd try say that then they pride don't know the relationships between the player and and the coach and and so no, that's that's little unique to the people. You wish people had that experience.
And we take all these different people into a team. And it's a little bit a microcosm life where you you've got every race, religion, they come together and they don't really care what race, religion they are talking about. Everybody just plays and joins and and and pull in the toga war. They are all polling the rope in the same direction. I'm doing IT with the greatest .
dial season is in for swing, and that's why we need to tell you about our special hook up for toy's sponsor seek. And we have .
special discount for the nine two percenters. You can get ten percent off any ticket on seeker with the code you guessed IT new heights.
And that works for sports concerts, company shows, going to see travis and chief play you name and save yourselves some money. Open the c ky gap and add code new heights to your account to get ten percent off your next order. Doesn't matter if you've you seeking before that right IT does not .
matter once again, that's code new heights for ten percent .
off the farmers dog. We love our dogs. That's right. They complete us. And we all want piece of mind that we're doing the best we can to help ensure that they're healthy and happy.
The farm er's dog makes them delivers fresh, healthy dog food right to your door, is developed to buy vest, nutritionally baLanced, made from real meat veggies. How about that to a safety standards of human food? Ds.
traditional dry and wet dog food options are highly process, can use much lower quality ingredients than they claim to, and are extremely difficult to portion accurate.
That's right. The farmers s dog isn't just fresh food, it's higher quality food, and they also send the food proportion specifically for your dog. That's right. This makes IT easy to help maintain their ideal way.
Dogs at a healthy way can live up to two and half years longer .
than overweight dogs. IT doesn't matter if your dog is Young or old, is always the right time to begin investing in their health.
Get fifty percent off your first box of fresh, healthy food at the arm's talk, duck comes less new heights, plus you get free shipping sleeve number.
The antipho have been partnering since two thousand and eighteen to bring quality sleep to .
a lead athletes. It's for good reason as super able champions, we know how important is for recovery. Sleep in a great bed plus sleep number. Beds have great features, including the ability to adjust .
farmers sleep number. Smart beds show you your sleep quality every morning in the sleep number APP.
How did you coming up? Who doesn't love fresh new bedding or pillows? Or if you are in the market for a bed, if you haven't checked out a sleep number store, now is a great time.
Efforts unique. Do you have any advice for some are looking to getting a coaching? Yeah, I kind of ask him to say, say from I thought about coaching.
sure. Because I love, I love the game. I love the excess and knows of IT. What is the advice that you would give .
anybody out there are looking at? So I think one of things that helped me was start and low. The thegether to start at san Frances go state will work for another great guy, VC. And he was all the family doves .
was tom melbourn baby.
tom melvin. That's right. First evolution. My coaching career started with them guys out here, man, yeah, you know, you start at a lower level of the pro ranks or college ranks, and you work your, you work your way up so you get to see the whole picture, write, and then you appreciated as you go.
And you develop your ability to teach because really that's what that's what you do right as supposed be important, real high position right off the bat and expectations go way up and then you have one bad game. And in this league that's like dog here, I mean, you lose one game and is like you've on the season. So you know, you don't want .
to be put in that chair right away. Yeah, you need to be weared wethered lost. I got to actually this all coming off that is that one of the things you enjoy of where you you obviously you coach players, but you've had so many coaches go on to get his coaching jobs, often the coordinator jobs. I mean, your coaching tree is gonna I the amount of assistant you can go on is that part of what you view your job is to develop all these guys .
and guide them. So do you like to be a good here coach who have good players and good coaches? yeah. And you have good players and you can teach as a coach and Normally you're gona win games. So i've been lucky to have good you know, good coaches and a lot of them, but x players and even they be that's right, a chance to to move on.
And one of their biggest fan and less we're planning up, right? And then and then you know we get role, yeah but but you look at the higher you want good people, you want good players are good people, that what you want yeah and it's it's a people business. Matter how you look at IT.
the cheese have been a staple in chapter of games. The last five years is five or six years now six. Whatever you have a one, all of them. Do you cherish the winds more? Or among the loss?
yeah. So yeah, I think losses, they stick with you longer. A than the winds, the winds, you go, okay, this is a beautiful thing. Uh, let's move on. We're going to get onto the next one.
I think the trick to IT is if you can learn from each yeah and you can keep that baLance of that yeah or on the loss, you don't get yourself too low. Let's learn from IT make ourselves Better. We lost the champ ge of game, and I listened.
I might listen to these guys yeah. And all of them said I could do Better. I mean, now you got a chance coming back at next year.
You get a chance if everybody is taking part of IT, including the head coach. If you're all taken for the responsibility there, then you have changed to go. So those are good lessons. A to learn when you lose. When you win, you can get too high. Because if you're off a tick in the national football league, you get to talk IT right and there's just too much party yeah to be great player the bus again, best in the world yeah pretty place. And so you know you to stay right .
to tell you losing definitely into a home for me right now. But I like to tell everybody, after the game of, I was very happy, I was, I was very upset, obviously be lost.
but I was happy for you guys because it's been kicking my town all my life. Coach.
you're right though, I think and then all you do is you think about the place that could happen before the different cause you could have made if this just happens. If I just do that, and I think you're right, I think would. But he has to be focused on yourself. You get what what could I have done Better? I think that's right, largely right.
jointly. Little happened. You guys have a good team. So I mean, it's you guys good leadership, whether it's how you or neck and these are to and well, yeah, yeah, yeah appreciate.
I'm very, very similar until you persevere and then win. And then I didn't even remember losing the super ball that we were. That happened?
No, I just.
I block IT out there, either that or I just.
I choose not what you told me. So I know everybody, you lose you and I thought was a crap unl here just happened. And I can onesta understand where .
you're going from fire body.
Let's go back to your filter or a little bit. You coach and fill from ninety nine, two thousand and two thousand fourteen years, and he was your first coaching job. What were your thoughts going into that? Did you was that was fully the only option? Are you interviewing with multiple other teams? And there's a rumor that had a five inch notebook that was like your keys that running an organization.
yeah. So there are three teams that they were arrested, okay, and fully happened to me the first interview. And listen, I was probably the one that was, if I know honestly said he was probably one that I have a chance at more than the other two of the year.
I was the last of the interviews, were filling four, five guys and interview there bereave and and they were good coaches. And so I was not a ordinator. And i'm going on, I need every piece of artillery can get to go in there and try to get this thing.
And yeah, i'd studied my congress for. All years, seven years, and Green bay and try to write notes down and keep IT organized. So if something were to happen, I like enough to get an interview.
I could go in and i'd have the answers to the task. Yeah, sure. From a great coach who should be in the whole thing. So that's where the binder came from yeah, and he was a long interview and I worked out OK, but I knew what I was getting into this tough place yeah.
and you just talked about media understand how to control that. Is that the toughest media market .
you think it's I had a chance to make ourselves. We played the jets. Yeah, my first year and press and he goes like, you're in the tough is place ever, right? Is in new york at the time i'm going on right? This is the tough st place.
So I knew what was that part wasn't to be easy, but I was honest with them. And and and we have we talk about, you don't have to say everything. We tell the old story much Better. Whatever you say comes whatever comes that so was part of know Billy market .
is is tough in terms of the media but i'll tell you what might be be in a fan of Jason and being a fan of the eagles, eagles orange zone, treating me like family and their what was your biggest take away in philly coach for the eagles out there?
Yeah so i'm jeff. I am close to this day. Um he treated me great. The people there, uh, you you add you gain a badge of honor if you can make IT through there are still standing so they've been great through some tough times.
I mean, were tough times along the way, whether is on the field or off the field. And they're right there with me, but they'll let you know. I mean, they're let you know one thing I could say about as there are not let you know, they're like a coach and a player.
If you is stank, they're going to tell you a stank. And if you're good, I tell you good and there is no in between there. There's nothing in between. So it's a tough place, but it's a good place.
Would you've done anything differently in your time and filling?
No, you know, no. I think there are things you learn along the way. Yes, but I think we were able to go to five champions of games and a super bowl and and I think the the organization hadn't been doing great and then we were able kind of get them moved up, uh, the chain there and in the end of film that worked out okay. So I think things there was at least a foundation there that everybody could build on and yeah and go in the civil like you .
guys did yeah with a former player and coach of yours yeah yeah I was also you talked about like the badge of hour. Do you think that that phillip hia. Media fan base, I feel like there's a sense of urgency in that city that you ve got to come to work every day you get like have you Carried that over? Did you have that in Green bay? Or did do you think that affects the organization?
The yeah Green bay for a different reason because of the history, they are sure you feel that legacy that takes place air and and then and silly, it'll give you two strikes. No, you you're done and and so you've got to bring yeah you do you bring your a game every day? I mean, you're off attack and you can hear about IT and so you make sure that you prepare and you're organized and all .
those signs that you need to you .
let's move .
on to some cheese top there and this stocks on cubs. And when did you know that I was in a qb .
where there a couple different times. If you want to take a, to take a back to new york, there is A, I just listen. If I run the ball.
he wants he, he is the coach before he told, which is, do not travel, do not do this ball.
do not make you read that even there, or you're running, you want to see if he can beat my pump.
As IT was a good boy, he was a dar. yeah.
So now we come back and we've got this play we call a black pero. And that was a beautiful thing.
And so and .
we get to ric to toss, to kill and and patrol es in the hand zone. And although i'm more step to a bounds, he should have been deeper. The one corner plays both of, and you talk about joke. Not only that, so this is like in the first second quarter ruin of the rest of the game.
I want to be .
there. This guys get .
like the best ARM. And this was like a five years and five.
He got ta run IT in.
but but he came back the .
time to turn. Baby, there are you in the place?
We no serious ly one.
Did you know that, Patrick, my homes was the real deal was a watching an attacker kind of get them in the building.
And yeah, I give print to break the each other. Breda was a scouts at the time, and from the first time that could played, and I had taped on our test. And and you can watch this guy, you have to watch him.
And for two years, or how many every years that was, we watch this kid and each because, as this is best i've ever seen, he's just, he's that good and each at the southwest or southeast area and that's with a hot bed and you know so dorso I go, yeah this guys very now about two years later and then and then I think once he stepped into the league and he did that game at denver, where we've wrapped up our playoff spot and he got to happen and go in a game, I mean, he he did what he did and practice what he did attack. And I, O, that's that's pretty good. We had alexa that the time was also good. yes. Yeah, yeah.
We said on the show that matter, magi secretly gave pat the answers to the draft interview. Did you know that he had the answers .
and did that interview in press you if you did not?
Yes, so listen, reach. No, no. So v and egg e or teammate the so I had a couple of of turbos, just a throw. I just a couple of balls and any hand I knew.
And my homes hit the old baby, right?
right? Just couple es stuff .
what goes on and like evaluating a cub from from a coach like the gm perspective.
I think you had to get to know the guy and see what he's all about. You go to combine and and the answers are kind of package there are with answer. And I think that's easy.
You don't get a ton out of them, but you get a guy, you look him in room for eight hours and then you go over a whole install, make him speed, IT, backache and then throw questions at am on how you would held this by time you get them with that eight hour. You've got a prety good feel on what the guys about. We did six of, I believe, six of them that year.
And IT was their day in in the building here. And so by the time they left, we kind of think we're pretty accurate with that. Actually, as we went through and have looked now with history part of IT, we're pretty accurate on our evaluation takes a lot of time now yeah.
when your value in court is anything that you what makes pet my homes in your mind so much different than any other?
What is unique about them?
Not a bad safety.
I'd tell you he's just he's got a good way about he was raised in a locker so he's got that field yeah is natural leader but he's humble yeah um he's easy to coach. I think he's going to listen. You can go to hard and then at the same time, he wants everything you can throw out yeah and you know both you guys are great players.
And if there's one thing I have noticed in coaching over the years as the great players want want to give him one more thing so they can even be greater than what they are. So there they're always ask me, what do you get? What do you get? What you get, you know, you and I saw that would bread I saw was ready White, I saw, but the different guy of sterling sharp police guys, phenomenal players and brand dockers and list goes on.
So right? But they just want to give me one more thing to make you make me Better than what I am. And so it's a great driver for a coach to to do.
But he was that that's that's got that he he wanted you to load them up and chAllenge him and he's going to work and he's dedicated. And you know I mean, during the week he's not going on out. He's he's can stand and study and do his thin and all. I.
that's all rules. Well, he has a bunch of ridiculous records. One of the most ridiculous is from behind record when it's in the heat of the battle and and word come in that you, that trail position. What does IT feel like when you you see my homes out there are just take control of the game? Like, what does that feeling for you as a head .
coach was little bit like in the super ball. I'm telling you, it's not to rubbin easy, but it's right.

My shirt and everybody in the locker knew that we have the ability, if we just strained a couple things out to come back, that to me is reassure as a coach, but you got to the players to believe in. That was one thing for the coaches to believe in and said, IT, it's another thing when you're saying that to guys IT truly have that film in their heart. So ten points we know isn't a big thing. And twenty points, twenty one points is not a big thing. We've done that .
palatine has what you need to keep you on track your goals no matter what season of life you're in.
And as professional athletes, we know how chAllenging IT could be to adapt your fitness needs to your busy schedule, especially during the N. F, L. season.
Person has been a great tool to help me adept my into my busy schedule of travellers for money, night football, podcasting, parenting and everything else like I going on this year. Pellet down is great for when you're traveling between games at the gym or when you just need a .
moment to recover. Find your push, find your power with pala at one palette com.
That's right again. That's one pala 点 com。 Hey ron.
recently I S mobiles legal team, if big wireless companies are allowed to raise Prices due to inflation, they said yes. And then when I asked if raising Prices technical violates those honest to your contracts, they said, what the are you talking about you in saying hollywood?
So to recap, we're cutting the Price of men unlimited from thirty dollars a month to just fifteen dollars a month. Give you to try mt. Mobile dock, com, flash switch, five new customers on first three month plan only taxes and these extra speeds.
lower ability to give a detail. And so that's that's a good feeling from when you sit in go to see right .
yeah day where you were done than things. So art lisa, this keep talking to a super boss at these seven men. So we just want our second super table.
Second a, did the second feel Better? where? How did you compare to the first one?
I think I did feel Better. actually. No, IT wasn't because that was legal. That's not the reason IT was the first one was a war went and just everything was moving fast. And then the second one was weird because of covin and then we lost. And then the third one was just you able discuss, step back and take everything in yeah and you still know that there is a chAllenge of heady and coming up for the season, but you're able to enjoy IT for that, that moment there. And I was just i'll remember that part where the .
first one is loggy. Everyone's pretty excited, huh? Did you feel more pressure the first time for the second time, the first winter, the second way?
I'm not look at I didn't get caught up in that. Yeah, i'm not I didn't feel a pressure that way. You feel a pressure to do well.
Like if that's a pressure, it's I anx that drives you. You know you want you want you guys to to show where they bust their bad to get to this point. And let's just do that and then let the chips forward. They make if if it's not good enough, then the other teams Better. But as I go on line egg do that.
how was IT seeing guys that you drafted in, former players that you've you've coached over the years? How does that feel seeing .
them across the field? And was that was different? That was a little different? I mean, yeah, yeah. I mean, you look across in the people, I I know people across the field, there is actually one time pressure.
You said that must say IT because of you two and nobody else is going to hear IT. So so there is one point where I was backtalk a pat. My back was to the field, and I heard the cheer, and I turned around and you're tight and cut the ball.
yeah. And for a minute I went, nice. IT was weird that, but that .
was just .
a one time and the rest of time I was alred. Yeah, i'm not allowed.
There was after I think you are the first of second touchdown they scored and that dang, on fly eagles flies coming on now I got caught go like this just a little bit to the fly eagles from my IT was back IT .
was like doing dangerous man he was back and force game.
play game they got deemed the Kelsey bol IT should have have been IT are mind that should have been the andy rebow you your favor overs both organizations in such a way, I don't know. I just think it's as that ever happened in the nfl were coach has played his former team that he was with for over a decade, players that he drafted, coaches that he coach with the front office. I don't know .
those weird, I don't know if he has was IT was a great experience you I thought I was unique but when I saw your mom shoes like this is the mrs. kelson. SHE SHE was like .
a me shoes in shoes. They do those things up.
And can .
baby I coming into the league? This the office has changed so freak much. I mean, traditionally i'm the utian but for sa was the White title as a very run away in IT offence, especially demote Charles.
And I just feel like this tight and position is kind of changed throughout IT. All I just wanted to kind of see IT from your point of view, have you just created offence with four wide receivers? Or is the title musician still available on this?
Yeah, so we call IT titan. Yeah, it's still as .
the way in the playable is unique .
because of how you put your flare on IT and your ability work in space and and do all of that. So it's changed else changed. Game is given a lot of tight ends that maybe aren't that inline crusher an opportunity? And then with the rules that the league is put in for offices to floors, it's given the tight ends that opportunity for different what different?
Yeah, guess how's the we changed? I got this now and you've been called for a long time.
How is ah so I give give you an example. When I was filly Green bay went to three three walls right to an Green bay one and filling and there wasn't a snap any of the quarter backs on our the team that I was that an opportunity? Ach, 啊, that was in the shock.
We go and today, very few times as a hundred, less than fifty percent. Yes, yes. So I made, evolved that way. Technology is evolve the game, the the media, and that parity that you get by the league rules, but also by players knowing each other and what everybody y's doing yeah on every team because of know the iphone and that stuff for communication .
copies and everybody's make us all time that's right. Players go from one organization .
yeah we am my time. Your heart beats in A I mean, it's I wasn't the case back.
right? Yeah who wins a teams from today's one of O A team from one of those Green bay teams?
I still think that, but they would compete for sure yeah the talent in the size and that are similar sand for this goes doing that. There are a little bit tighter. You have a little bit more underwater.
You have few other teams are doing that type of yeah. So I think at work, I would think though that you'd have to bounce back when we lost a able to the patchy and filling. We had to get into the gun after that with all the double stuff that was going on, what they did so well.
So next year we we start popular back of the gun. You and you'd have to incorporate that in there. But other than that, I think the talent is very similar.
We did a lot of two back stuff back then. There's not a lot of that in the league emphases going to be on. The teams know the full back is kind of eased out.
The game of now teams try to do some of the full big stuff with the second title, the opposition to get to some of those runs. But it's not the same. Yeah, love IT different. Not rush. More of fast food .
burgers we got. So my grandson's been hammer me on this. Every little game we go out for cheese person. So I go to topic, which is right down the road, I go OK five guys and burger to support .
pat and we .
that I make enough money. So i'm sure I messed in one, but those are the ones that we hit, and I need to stop, hit back on topic.
S is good at any time of the day too. It's like late .
night dinner. The .
dinner Jason's give .
IT was snow globe. I like .
that one yeah but .
it's more .
around the rose.
Do you get so that was kind of fun.
yeah. What's the narrow about any read that you feel unfair or maybe accurate?
I'm really a skinny guy. Is just the cameras put a lot way on me? Two, no, I listen, I don't know, I prime that I don't have a sense of humor and what we're clearly this.
all right O. Who was funny here, you in the state, far commercial, or travis in.
isn l yeah, i'm to tell you what I meant. He's a rock.
It's me like they do in college football I yelm he's going .
leave so I got to know all of you know yeah and he gives you that brow baby yeah you you're done around how tired are you of seeing that point passing kick competition video come up on the screen every year?
Very tired.
You going to let them know right here though, IT was an age range. The kid and the kid next, he wasn't eight year old.
I was thirteen. There was a lion, two lines. So went eight, one thousand, nine, and I like thirteen and then you rote, right? So that kid was not the.
and you didn't win IT.
right? I didn't win that one. What I want to want before .
fourth goal ball on the one.
what you call .
game on .
the line. This is how IT is.
You'll never know .
