At new heights, we had a fun week on baby, let's a get two wins on the board. Jason wants to talk about what we got coming up.
Yeah, we're going to talk about both of our games. Obviously, from week one will highlight the best performance from around the league, plus will be talking about super hankos prime time games and whatever other antics we decide to talk about.
And we got another set of twelve hard heating questions that recap a week one and some of our insight and was going on around the league.
But first, we want to quickly thank everyone that tuned in and listened to the first episode.
Thank you guys, man. And if you're back.
welcome back. Yeah, did you get any good reactions from people listening to the show here?
I mean, I didn't see any like rain, a person like somebody I didn't know, talk about what I knew I have a lot of and on the team that they listened to. And absolutely, he loved IT more. So just enjoyed listening to you talk about how you cut off some balls. And in just the fact that you're getting into the farming world, there's a lot of ties because there is guys that a coaching staff that was in philadephia coached you, so they feel like they know you personally and and to hear you talk about all that stuff, they absolutely loved IT. So but nothing nothing positive feedback over here about you.
but I got most of my feedback that I saw an instagram from one of my former teammates and guys that I look up to a lake ris long give me a call was given me little bit of pointless. And I enjoyed the six I five I H talk .
ve yeah then .
you know Michael Jenkins, why George kito hit me up, one literate that he loves run blocking. So he's not going to be shared at run blocking, so he's going to continue to dominate in that room.
Hopefully my and get healthy man.
get back out on. But I did get one person who said a negative thing. Bollen said he was amateur ish. In his words, he hated IT. So hopefully you want .
to know what else's. amateur. The football .
we went to a scots.
the White world, all they bothered. Big ten bonds.
Oh my god, that's great.
What's the difference again? They .
are red and both.
No real athletes on the field.
Where do we start .
the first twelve? You want to p IT off that gonna.
Start off your game first. I chief gardens. Big game was the highly touted cardinals defense. What did you guys do differently in training here?
I think IT was more than just training catman. I'm going to tell you guys about the golden fifteen. And this isn't new. This is every every team has a certain set of place that they go into A A game with scripted set of place that either compliment the place you've rain in the past or a compliment the place you're going to run in the future. Um but if you give coach read two, three months this office of coaching staff that which time to to game plan for a team, it's gonna fall this man.
And i've i've been a product of vic year and you're out and I don't know, I think i'm gonna miss the feeling of the first game the night before the first game getting those first fifteen plays and those first fifteen players are based off of the tendencies that these coaches, these defensive coaches that were playing have on first down, second down, third down throughout the first quarter and throughout the first drive. And it's just man, it's like having the answers to the test. It's like seeing a movie.
You're really excited about seeing the previews for IT. And when you see the movie, it's like you saw the good parts in the previews. You just know exactly what's coming.
You know what what plays are going to be big hitters, which ones are going to be successful? And i'm just look at my chops the night before the game, visualizing all these plays because you just know you're gna get these certain coverage and you've bhanu m so much in Prices and in training came against different looks. So you just feel confident and how you're going to attack them depending on what they do present. And sure enough, we started off fast men. The first, I think, three drives we scored on and that was just IT was an appeal battle for the .
r ever sense men. So for those who you don't know what the first fifteen is, first fifteen is the first fifteen plays that the coach is looking to get to the orphans of play color in regular football scenario, usually first, second, downplays have a couple third downs, ys sprinkle in there.
Uh, but I can uh relate a little bit from my time with andy and with dog who also did the first fifteen where that first week it's littered with place that you haven't reached yet. You know in a game situation, you've working on them all off season. These are places you're looking forward to finally being able to see what he looks like out there on game day. So that's awesome. How the first fifteen go that .
they were flowers. I'm not going to lie. Costly, lightweight. He tricked me on one man. I thought he was going to be a big hitter for me is like the third of fourth play the game in i'm thinking, i'm thinking he's gonna dw, this thing up is a double move for me. He brought in the same personnel.
He brought in the same formation with the same y motion or title action on same max IT was the exact same everything. And I just first half of the plane just black. I was like, is it's common? I bought to be straight down the field and IT was a run play, and I showed my cards and that play didn't work well. We even so the other thing you .
going to be wary of the first fifteen, a lot of times are designed to go off of each other. So what andy was doing was actually setting travis up. But because he want to the Candy, I was expected.
He was in the store. I've been visualizing IT all day, all night, the night before. Man.
I just knew I was hit a in the whole there .
the words to speak to you, brother.
Right, right? You be a pat. Maybe the longest what you guys work on to keep evolving your relationship. As any.
you know, offence goes, you just get the rebs man. I mean, and I think I think we're very fortunate, we ve got a great offence of coaching staff that time and all the place together like we are just kind of talking about and from there is just getting reps reps talking about how he likes to see things develop, how he likes meet to run these certain rose versus certain coverage, and hearing how he talks to other guys about that.
You know me, that same scenario. It's just you just are as long as you have the mentality every day, come in and trying to figure something else out, you know you trying to take the game to the next level. Um and then on top of that, uh, just getting what the guys outside of the facility I think is huge, getting the no guys understanding genuinely we want this to be a family. We want to have your back through out throughout at all. I mean, that's everything.
Good point. So you are firm believer that like relationship is like how well you know somebody even outside of football can affect how you guys play on the field.
One hundred percent, one hundred percent. Because I have so much more fun when I genuinely and friends with the guy next to me. And I played that much harder form when I know.
and that much more. What do you do off the field to evolve the relationship? I really like playing golf.
Yes, about to say golf this any activity, pickle balls are big, went out hearing kansas city um whether it's just go into the casino or hanging and out of somebody's house, you know that matter where you're going and is anywhere you can have that conversation or or just just hanging out with a guy, I guess. So there a lot a lot of the conversations come at lunchtime in the cafeteria, you know me or the bus rides to and from a game where the plane rides and stuff like that is this nonstop comedy. For the most part, in the black room.
cafeteria might be the most underrated place in the building. I mean, that I have the best discussions next to the song of maybe but um yeah no off the field I think, do you guys drink at all? Do you guys partaken.
uh, I made the party when I was a rookie.
Brent celik, and taught her mans at a bar called eight, seven, nine. And IT was that was because Brent clic was number eighty seven, taught here in seven, seventy nine. Talk about some creative guys, eight, seven, nine. so. Anyone of the cells, baby and so so my Ricky year, we were not very good um this was anti second alasia and food of a until that bar opened up and we started having what we call third thursdays, thursday, thursday, then of a sudden four game .
wind street .
now friday practices not yeah I mean a little bit slower of that .
first fridays every friday yes to look .
you know um i'll never forget thursday thursday is vince Young. He's he's in this barn .
of leary team. I've heard .
he's in this bar four, three pee suit I think i'm in sandals, in sweats and he said, I will come over here and we go over to the bar and vince so I am sure you how we drink in the na fu and i'm like, okay, this are I don't even know what to expect and vince proceeds the order two shot to pirone and two cats on ice. We take the shot of petrol and he says, are another cattle you just going to sip IT there's no sugar in IT. You won't have a hang over. You'll be good for practice to, all right, do a couple more of these and to be early night, though he was, and within five minutes he had down the all of the cattle and was ready to do another.
Let go.
baby a listen, invents. I still, I still love you. I will go out there and play fool you any day the week one of my favorite teammates .
um you know i'm not drink and .
get to one i'm .
sir man sure how not sipping?
I'm not trying to be like brain specific, I guess but the real thing is really getting to know people getting uh to uh open yourself up outside of the game of football and who you are as a person lends itself to people connecting on a deepen the level and I firmly believe that makes a different so um you am glad you got you impact get drunk on TV and play golf together might be why you guys are so good on football film right? You will go.
Number three, my homes said in the off season, the receiver with the big game might change weak to weak. Do you guys know going into each game who is going to be? Or is that sometimes figured out um when you see what the defense is given you for the day?
yes. I mean, it's it's all based off of what that defense labor is going to be for the and just what we have in the game place. We have so many personnel that tian with all these formations. And you know every single play has at least a part play has a certain set of like progression, right? So like depending on what the defense defense of coordinator calls, whether it's cover four, cover three, cover one, whatever he calls the porter bag knows he has a certain progression that he goes through and and certain guides are supposed to get the ball.
So it's really I don't want to say it's a crap shot, but IT is all up in the air because we have a bunch of wider series that can make place and pat trust everybody right now for sure. I mean, especially after a game like that where nobody was really screwing things, everybody was just flying around. Make a place.
But but you guys definitely have place design for specific people to get the ball.
One thousand person, one know I like what I like. How does a great job giving everybody the chance to get that rock? And that only helps, you know, keep the defense on their toes or on their heels reacting to what we're because they just don't know who to key in honor, you know who who worth thinking of trying to keep the ball to on the certain play and IT changes on first, second answer down. Know you not give a good tell in that?
Yeah, guess this comes up. So this a question from somebody who plays off and alien and knows nothing about receivers and courteous CS, how often does a play that's designed for you go to somebody else? Gay, like what's a percentage one out of five.
one out of four? Now when you to read things that baby, I would say it's definitely with coach with coach and pat, I would say after time .
more .
half half time yeah and obviously you pressure certain IT just depends on what the difference is playing. You know, if you get a look that you're not familiar with, you're call in a play because it's cover three and I was they go too high shell. Of course, i'm going to trying to run my road different because it's a different coverage and you know trying get open.
Yes, i'm always available. But at the same time, it's like the play designed if it's a different coverage to go to a different guy. So it's like, yeah right you know mean so it's all based on, you know when coaches downs IT up and do we have to look that we're looking for IT?
Hi well last question for you guys from week one um you guys had your safety just and read film in the kicks other than I and kick up and kick us .
and that only just kick him off making the tackle on kick off he kicked and meet the tackle .
and made the .
tackle I think twice think was IT .
because the return like broke free and he was like the safety .
no i'm talking about twenty five outline thirty line then he's bad.
That's not his job. His job, your job is the kicker is to be the safety.
Let's give that some slack, right? He is the safety. He's the safety on the team. His first two cakes, when I think they went through the upright.
What happens if he goes to missing? what? What happens if he goes down, washed out of the play? Who is the safety?
The backside one? What you mean? Everybody's, everybody's got to have a an angle of pursuit. Jason, have you ever played defense? First of all, guys never played defence.
First of all, that's kick off. The pursuit .
is pursuit, right? When you're taking i'm not getting get in .
this does the difference of coach replace coach? Yes, actually ran down to kick off and nee braces and college.
The contain guy .
they had me is number two and number woman loops and everybody pows.
This is the first time I i'd ever seen you fat too, in the forbes uniform, which IT was beautiful is glorious.
You look, I didn't think I was fat yeah. But what you made the .
tackle they showed in slow motion, you in knee b races, you're going to look like you had like a bossu balls to sit on your waste .
you're making in this up.
And you know how my me ohio is that is my me ohio. I know exactly what I tell. I see the living room watching IT.
Yeah, but they didn't have H. D. Television back then. So that's all I know. You're like that back then.
Don't act like you're ancient mother. Fuck two thousand and seven. Mabe is slow motion, him breaking .
down the stomach.
going from side to side, bouncing around. He just make the tackle like a all american line backer. Man, he got me height .
was back when, was back when there was still a wedge unit on kick off for time. You believe that that used .
to be A I was part of IT. I do. I wish I .
would never have IT. I I think the best thing we could ever do is go back in the archives, just clipsed absolute .
media. X.
oh my god, you had to have some screws loose in order to be a good wedge block ground. Kr, and I mean, I just the reason I want to wash a clips is IT would just made him. I mean, there is a little, there is a clip in college, do you? Member callum cavity.
too. I've remember that. Why do you think I just?
He was our special teams. S, A, since I the the best one out there, nobody could touch him. And we're going over K, O, R. And we're planning, you can, in one of their guys we take, named him the beast for the west. And the beast who is shutting two, three blocks, making tackles down to the ten years this study was on.
was like little giants. IT was like.
little giant movie was ike. We shouldn't ignore them. Spice, yes. So our special teams coach gets up there.
Coach elson goes, you know what? This week we're put in. R, B, stop against their peace. For those you don't know, after the games over, you all have you have a special teams meeting with the entire team is in there, right? So this week after the game, we're all like we're about to watch what happened on this play as a team.
We're going to see the beach where about the king kong and gazella a go at IT in this .
right away the ball it's kicked off. You see collin, collin runs similar like forrest gump, just like, no, like swaying at all locked. And the beast is they make eye contact and literally thirty yeah they're like, we don't care who has the ball where it's going.
We both know what's happening. IT did not disappoint, flying everywhere. Guys knocked off their feet. Both of them. Colin gets up and is starts walking, and his nee start shaking, and then just slowly process to the ground. Well, the funny is that nobody noticed mark war on the wage marker's war was like face down.
The man, nobody, nobody.
but nobody noted that he just got up. H, but yeah, these guys were literally the wedge.
You on the beast. Yeah, the wedge unit.
this is what your job on the wedge unit was back before the nf, fl. Decided to outlaw this barberry behave all my god you would run back to you were ten yards from the reTurner lago interlock arms like a human bar and will be what guy's job to look back and you say.
And you proceed and you what job? Who came up with this, they would like a child.
That's why till you're in into obese, once you found three guys for the way the other team to find the guy back. up.
I'm told you that's going to be a future episode. We're finding clips from kickoff for return and kick off wedge busters and wedge. It's going to be highlighting the wedge unit in the wedge busters that has to be swing. And that's why we need to tell you about special hook up for today's spotters, seek c and we .
have a special discount for the nine two percent, as you can get ten percent off any ticket on seeker with the code, you guessed IT new heights.
And that works for sports concerts, comedy shows, going to see travis and chief play you name and save yourselves some money, open the seki gap and add code new heights to your account to get ten percent off your next order. Doesn't matter if you've used seeking before that right? IT does not .
matter once again, that's code new heights for ten percent off.

Moving on. The lions kept close. Brother, you guys had A A heck of a fight. Um i'm not going to lie. Have to watch the heart.
And I kind of became a fan of the lions and a lot of the characters I got. Dam, cambell would love the platform. Awesome guy.
yeah. And how was your how was the game? How was your percession of the lines after you played inversus? Maybe what you saw in H.
B, O, what they do on HBO backs up. You know, the type of team to try to identify is, I mean, there they got a coach whose a tough minded, hard nose coach and their team played that way obviously by case yeah I mean, at one point we're up seventeen and you you're close to kind of breaks in a wile of a team but not you. They fought to the end very close to to beat us. And um you know I think if we don't have jail and hurts in that game, they probably do beat us.
J ma jAiling is who .
has faced a lot of criticism this off season really his whole career yeah say his .
whole career date back to and is going .
to get you you know, I and he still, in thirty years, got a lot of foobar left in him. And this is the way the league works. It's always coming after you and say.
what they can hate on is how they do compete about the guy. That guy brings that man.
yeah well, he brings IT. But I mean, if if you look back at this way, we don't win the game without jail hurts. The protection that broke down early with blitzes and different looks at, we can either communicate a well or pick up well.
His ability to go off, beat and make something happen is saved us. Multiple third downs, multiple drives that were kept going because of the type of player he is. And then he didn't disappoint in the air. A J. Brown set a record for an eagles day but with one hundred and fifty five just um you know he was on target in all phases and we needed him to be to win that game with how the rest of the team played so didn't be more happy without jail and played to start the season off. I mean.
kind of already hit on what i'm about to ask you. But he became the only other courtelage natt named pat ma homes to throw for three hundred plus yards no turn noos s and get the dub. Um how do you see him? How does he keep progressing? I mean, is the offence evolving form? Is is IT or is IT just all tailor to his skillset? You remember .
what I mean, you both you know I think the the is an offence. If you're not evolving in this league is you're behind, right? You have to continue to try and find different ways to attack the differences, different ways to improve.
And it's obviously gearing towards jail and jailed are starting courter back. Uh, he has a skill set that unique, makes some very dynamic for a defense to defend and we utilize that. And that's one of the reasons we we are the number one and rushing team in the nfl last year and we barely ran the ball the first five weeks.
Um and the only reason that happens because the jail and hurts in his ability to keep the ball and B F thread yeah you know he keeps the number's honest for the office alii everybody is so of course, the playbook is going to be more gear towards zone and his skills said, of course, are often going to continue to evolve much like what you say with the gold and fifteen year. There are a lot of place that we wrapped yesterday that you know we've been really looking forward to running all off season. And um you know most of them worked out pretty well.
And I thought of a lot of the um a lot of the success of of the office really came down to one guy doing a very, very good job in this jail hurts as well as J J. Brown. I can't discount Brown. He's that doing good as well .
as i'm sure everybody else. You don't win a foobar game with just two guys checked and made rise, man. So you got to see that number two, pic eight and hutchinson in. Did you have any encounters with the my noise on the edge?
But what do you think? Not really. I helped out a little bit within when you run over the guards but as the center you don't see the D N very often.
But did you remind if anybody going into IT?
I don't know. I tried to the cop thing is good for fans because IT kind of gives you somebody that they know and can relate to um but he's a tough on a cap for some reason. He it's kind of like a more athletic or like a more nib.
Jared Allen kind of type player has some really, really good starter. Bow long arms gets extended, you attack you inside, outside or right down the middle and makes IT all kind of look the same speed to power. You know, they line them up a couple times in this overload set where he's clearly outside of the attack, coming down with the forehead steam. Uh, so he's going be a really, really good player. And I had, i'll tell you what you might .
not that you might not have that jared alan mullets, man, but he's got some personality watching, heart knocks and see and they do singing some Michael Jackson, that was, I was pretty good. Did you did you see that, Jason? Did you see him? Did you guys ever do the rookie, suppose or not rocky oppose him to rookie show? Yeah, the rookie show we do.
We do something similar. We do the singing and stuff like that. And he's never done IT.
We tried IT one year, and I think eric Fisher went up in song is is a college like allum nice song or whatever the school song and IT was .
that's an .
immediate IT was dead yeah yeah the fish no man.
I love the big fish listener to the to the shirt well, I don't know this in the park because they come in one of the videos, he gave a shutout to time. Melvin, Tommy mell.
yeah, he always deserves a shutout, baby. Long time tiding coach, not only kinds of city boys out there and philadephia Andrea as well, has helped light years in terms of where i've been as a tightened and a professional man yeah, he's been your only tighten coach has been the only one men just been me in him for ten years when getting the job done baby. So i'm not going to lie rather you not only are you tiktok famous now because of all the views you've got from the episode last week, um your viral right now because of your encounter with the d tackle from the lions.
what is a line backer .
of old line backer malm rud rigas gave you a good old dev D, B hip toss.
He was good. He was A, I thought I had to. I was driving him in the zone and me and nice judo hip tos did not see a common so productive play .
got matter IT was impressive nonetheless .
less IT was a quick twisted the hips that is a good player he made, he made a Better move on me on a drop play earlier in the game where you made to tackle on jail and earth. That kids got a really bright future has been a star. The hard next show seems like he's got a great mentality and it's not the first time I been viral for get my ass kick so and i'm sure won't be the last I got.
he told by von Miller, like my second year in the league and he actually hip toss me from like one knee. I fl like a rag do. I thought the play was almost over. So I kind of just, I don't want say I LED up on IT, but I definitely wasn't trying to, you know, put put any more attention towards von. And von had just a completely different idea of what was going on, knew he wasn't going to make the play, and just absolutely hipped toast me and threw me into next weekend.
I go, I think I feel like going viral, uh, forgetting your ice cake as I go right to passage in the end of file. There's everybody anyone has .
against a good player man.
for sure. You know it's a milla. I remember you will vial lane jan did this like spin move against them, which was unbelievable A A few years back um yeah so it's like your right of passage and hopefully you get more. Viral videos that did not being good than bad. We talked .
about A J Brown's day. But man, that was IT was fun to cci ve just get out there, make place for you guys. That do was an absolute ball. You could put them anywhere on the field and he just meant blaze.
Yeah I mean, he's a mismatch. No matter how you kind of song.
you've had some unbelievable receivers come through, not only come through but on the team right now. But where does he rank if you could put him? I I know you, it's hard to rank your teammates and everything like that.
I play with a lot of really, really received each one kind of has their own skills set to show on Jackson by far the best deal receiver I might i've ever seen. I mean, the guy was so good at tracking the ball down the field in making big plays. German main was like silky smooth, and his rounds in the way he moved.
Silk j, yeah. Silky, yeah. Now, shon jeffrey, I can't list everybody like, I think AJ is a very unique player. He's so big and so physical as a receiver. You just don't see guys that are that size and .
it's hard for corners to press them to stay with him when he's running, when the balls in the air to be able to be physical with him to try and get IT and he's got the advances so many .
different areas and and that's where he kind of like, I know it's not a good cop, athleticism wise, but like assha, jeffrey in his prime was a big physical received.
And IT is a one super role without .
else if and else. An used to say one of my favorite is elsewhere said was even when i'm covered, i'm not basically basically just know the ball up. I'm come down with IT, right? And that's that's the type of confidence you want to have and a guy and you know AJ is got that type of vibe, know if you're going to line up play man or man and as a quarterback to have that comfort blanket IT to go to know that you had a guy is going to win most of a lot of those fifty, fifty matches S A huge, yeah, huge.
Absolutely huge.
The other thing I want to talk about from the game, as you yeah I just wanted, just wasn't good enough. You know, I think we got a lot to improve on. Weak one is always, you're waiting to see what everything looks like and everybodys kind of try and out yeah .
but everything's new.
Everything's you know, we did not do a good enough job communicating. There are too many mistakes offensively, and that's largely my job. And my job is to be a communicator. Make sure everybody's on the same page on you guys.
We're weak on the comes, yeah.
I mean, detroit made IT difficult. There was loud. They could do to them for together a tough environment in a forest field. But you know, we got to be Better. And something that will be focused on on for next week as a solo.
So talk about the counts. So not everybody understands what type of communication uh could be lacking and stuff like that. Where could you have done Better .
the centers communication, the quarterback communication kind of sets um what everything's happening for the play, right?
Yeah kind of trackers from there everybody .
else who's the mike who's the identified a point for the play you whether the offence of line is going to be sliding IT with there would be and a man protection um you know who were going basically who are going to yeah and no, I think that communication needs to be a lot clear. And um that's on me. Yeah.
so I IT typically goes courter back at least a quarter, access to my senor tels, everybody where he's going and then the guards know where they're going, the tackles know where they're going. Everybody then knows based off where the centres go on, where they who they are working to and they can get thrown off by new looks. They can get throwing off by, you know, just stuff that you haven't seen previously. Or I can get thrown up by new bullet ses you know, things like .
that yeah I don't think that we got anything that was crazy different um but I think you know we just in the environment, we didn't handle well. We didn't do signals for the backs. So they knew I was going on was too loud for them to hear guys next to us.
I need to be louder to make sure that they're getting the call, all things that you know for an older player. Um this is what I bring value, right? I've been in this situation, so I ve got to be much Better in helping in putting us in the right situation. But IT also just comes down. I can't reiterate, you know, how much jail and hurts really made that they go in because despite all that, he was able to make multiple boys that would have been broken into a positive place for our office.
It's crazy men, both teams this year that were in the super bowl last week one. So that brings the question, is the super boy hanging over real? Did you guys, did you guys lose your first game up to the superb? I know one, our game, we actually speak the text.
I don't ick, I don't remember.
I think j and IT was the only game you guys had like a baby parade in the beginning of this. Like what do you mean you don't remember what game IT was?
We want I don't .
think this super body hand over s real. I think that if you have good leadership, all of that is taking care of in the off season. Yes, once training camp hits, if you ve got the right leaders in the right coaching staff and you know everybody's working their tail off the same, there's nothing wrong.
Yeah, I agree. I think it's a bit of a faulty. I think it's I think really the reason why it's a thing is when you win the super able, everyone's watching your tape, everyone's trying to figure out how to either take what you're doing, it's working and make IT successful within their office or they're trying to find out defensively how do we stop these place because they know everybody's going be trying to copy yeah somewhat of what you're doing that's working, right? So when your successful team everybodies study in your tape, everybody's out there looking and coming for you.
So like that feeling. I love that IT just makes my chest a little bit like going to get a baby. And I had I had my best year after I won the super board because i've had that mentality of, yeah, come to get a baby, good luck. Know, I know you. We're going to get your best shot.
You're gna get mine. You guys had a lot of success. You guys are still have success. So I think. And then also the other thing about the three hangs that no two teams are the same.
Ah yeah so I think there's a people think of like a super bow, a defending suber champion, like a defending heavy champion, right? And it's not the same. No two teams from any season are the same. Most teams, I think what's the average about thirty to forty percent of your rasta is different year.
And the turn over in the nfl sick, I think I think there's what is the thirteen hundred or forth some in terms of the entire league. There's four hundred new faces every every year.
And whenever you won a super.
I means four hundred guys lose their drive every years cry.
And whenever you want a super bull, you're losin coaches on your staff that you're going promoted to other organizations because they're trying to get that feeling. You're losing players that were key back up, special teams and players, guys that were instrumental in your success. All those guys are getting when you win, everybody is getting paid, everyone getting the benefit of success.
So um you know the teams is not the same even if you're returning the same starting quarter, bec the same starting eleven, same starting on both sides, um no two teams are the same. So and that's that's just the reality of IT. So super hanging over and real in my mind.
you got to keep you breaking. And obviously, the teams are different. The rams are still a great team that, since I bangs, are still a great team. The weak one is obviously not favorably in that aspect.
Let's give the new heights stamp of the week, which performers from weak one stood out most of you? And why?
Immediately after I got done playing, I started checking out to stats across the the league. And I saw that sick one arkley had like a hunter. Boku yards on the ground and then another, like eighty in the air head, almost like three hundred yards, are some like that in terms of office? And on top of that, the last play, the game just wild at the last play for his officers on the two point of version, just wiled his team to win.
IT was kind of like a my cafe o brought in some of the some of the office that we had out here in kinds of city and and there was a two point play that actually know actually what the coal is, but a little shovel path to to say one and two guys are in the whole ready to stuff the play. They knew IT was common and so on, just jokes. Two guys out stiff farms, one then runs to a brick wall to get the two point of version to given the lead with a minute left is just put your team on your back moment and heads off to a man. And guys had had a rough go with the injuries in his career, and to see him come out and just actually killer was cold. See a great dupe .
when he's healthy. He is just so unbelievable to watch say you talk about an unbelievably well round of back of athletics and power uh, for ness, I mean he's got such an arsenal uh, to come at you with us running back so he's a he's a special player so say the fully yeah man hopefully can stay healthy this year. Yeah N, F, C, A, the pretty well as we got side of the cowboys, all everyone wants so you've got some competition.
I don't know, see on a fc west will keep you moving. Who is your player? The world?
Um you know I don't know if we're doing this. I'd probably give josh Allen .
if we're doing this, we're doing and a brother .
right join just you know obviously as a highly anticipate a game of defending super champions thursday night.
Buffo bills.
some argue that the buffo bills might have beaten mccain's. A city chiefs had the current overtime rules bit in effect the previous year.
Some people say the same thing about when I lost the time, brady in the S. C. J. We lost to a coin flip, but we just lost the time, brady, and over time.
anyway, you know, you got ta love. The way that I plays .
me is a business man, absolute dog on the field. Man, armenia. He plays the game. How I wish I would have played cortege c, when I was a courteous C A dool thread guy, but his ARM is just so special that he could just put IT anywhere on the field. You can throw on the round. You can throw anywhere on the field on the round is just smart dude on top of that and just a fearless competitive man says, fun to watch IT, fun to play against ment kind of like.
like if erin ross was a courter back, he'd be like josh.
And I feel like, okay, I think I mean that I know exact what you mean. Hopefully justice have those as medical cushions. Shut off the eric liner eighty eight baby, my favorite hockey player growing up, this one represented that's .
exactly why that I need you bullies .
back in the nineties, baby.
Um he was, I think he was post prost police no.
but that anybody the place for .
the fires fires they're automated.
That's fair. okay. I'm not talking about the original black and White television.
Pelton has what you need to keep you on track, your goals no matter what of life you're in.
And as professional and athletes, we know how chAllenging IT could be to adapt your fitness needs to your busy schedule, especially during the nfl season.
Person has been a great tool to help me adapt my routine to my busy schedule of traveling for money, football, podcasting, parenting and everything else. If I go going on this year, pelletan is great for when you're traveling between games at the gym.
or when you just need a moment to recover. Find your push, find your power with pilon at one pilon.
I tried again. That's one pala time that come. Hey, ron, als, recently, I asme mobiles legal team. If big wireless companies are allowed to raise Prices due to inflation, they said yes.
And then when I asked if raising Prices technical violates those honest to your contracts, they said, what the are you talking about you and saying? So to recap, we're cutting the Price of men unlimited from thirty dollars a month to just fifteen dollars a month. Give you to try mid mobile dot com slash switch, forty five dollars, fifty customers, extra speed, lower before give a little before we go, let's look ahead quickly to we. Two.
yeah, let's look. Look ahead.
So have you play on thursday night this week?
Where is my football baby prime time, the only show on television.
which means this podcast we're be hearing the day before the game. What can you tell our listeners or explained to them what it's like to plan on thursday night in the N F. O.
I love you in, I absolutely love IT some guys talk about how it's a short week and IT hurts its rough on their body with, yes, everybody everybody has to deal with IT. You know I mean, the guys across from you're dealing with the same thing you're dealing with. So I still think it's a fair match and I grand and i'm going to get ready to play no matter what day of the week IT is.
I think that the thursday night games are special. I do enjoy playing in them, and I also enjoy the the kind of the relaxation of the weekend that's after IT. Um if you get to win, but it's a quite turn around and you get that you hardly are out there and practice is for the most part to walk through because of how sore the body is from the the game that you just got done playing in on sunday and IT chAllenges you mentally to understand a playbook in shorter monotype.
That's probably the biggest for me is understanding the looks that understanding the the intentions of the play call. This year, we get to have the second week, which is a whole lot easier than that being the week fourteen, twelve to fourteen or something like that were later in the year. You're trying to put together a game plan.
You know, we had the whole entire offseason to really look at our first couple games, knowing that, that thursday my game is is going to be assured when I think we did get a head start on a little bit. But at the same time, it's it's a division of arrival for us. You know the playing, the charges, a team that were familiar with, they they got a few new pieces and I definitely ups the ante in terms of you know the chAllenge at hand because there are defensive front now that kind of matched their second dad, which has always been pretty solid. Um and yeah I get to I get to go up against one of the best safety in the in the league men and my eyes is the best safety in the league in derwin James and I always love that chAllenge and he he's got me a few times and just link my chat to get out there and get after man.
I feel the same way you do others again. I love them. I think you know it's like a mini buy, right that's what everybody calls IT the mini by um you get a nice long break after the game for the next week um and the quick turnaround is all walk through.
So in some ways that week you're probably do and less damage to your body throughout the week and you are for most weeks. So yeah I think the the thursday night football being bad for players is nonsense. Personally, do you think there's any .
difference in from time this one thousand percent? I get so fired up when those lights are on men, I absolutely get fired up. It's just a whole different feeling, especially airhead with the lights on the, oh my gosh, this degree, the grass just looking so plush early on in the years. The first game at the season arrow had is going to be rock and this is going to be absolute electric sphere of man. And I can't wait to get get out there, man.
yeah.
I think part time games over a noon game any day the week.
Yeah, I like one of cloud games. Get in. Get your work done in out here.
A little afternoon delight.
Yeah, I don't know. problem. I would be talking about sit around eight o'clock.
I don't get done. Play a football till eleven thirty. Listen, I get IT.
It's great for fans. It's awesome for TV. I love watching prime time games, but I would much rather play.
I want my favorite time slot, foo clock o'clock, optimal time slot, but eight o'clock up. It's but it's good for twitter, I guess. right? Any difference? Would you make any changes to the any files prime time schedule?
No, I, I, I have nothing. I have nothing for you. What about you?
Uh, I don't know if i'd make a different I don't know if I make any change to the nfl prime time schedule. I just think the nfl should capitalize on more holiday games like advertising because I think like thanksgiving is like highly successful for the nfl. There should be like a yearly halloween game, right?
As long as it's like within that thursday to sunday yeah like this should be advertised as like I don't know what you what's some scary? The gool bow? We got to get the goal bow .
going the ghost ball tomatoes.
Where was i'm?
Unless you just sink right now. You're good right now.
Christa Christmas, you know, I kick ball. Yeah.
that's got to Christmas.
It's great.
Dressed up.
unbelievable. We got to capsize on this.
It's got to be a Christmas eve game this year.
I'm just saying it's got to be marketed more right now, just happens organically. The anaya should market IT up more and play into IT more. That's my stick on prime time events.
This is a big holiday .
guy who's not what you don't like holidays.
not this. what? no. Who exactly? Who doesn't love hoon?
who? What your favorite list?
I mean, it's got to be Christmas. I know what we yeah. I mean, Christmas, live your life.
Th is Christmas is like the prototypical answer. Everyone loves Christmas because Christmas doesn't love Christians. Now it's because its presence. Let's not cut.
cut the bullshit. All about present.
right? Presence.
about family, about present. What present? You give me questions last year.
I will give new, present years. There are million. And what I buy new presence for, I buy new presence.
Chris, about the Price.
but i'll send you was a frequent text. That's what you give a Christmas, a heart felt message from your brother. I did get yourself. What did I get? I got you that weight.
Great sky. I got you that in great sky nine, yes.
yeah, put IT up in the show and my favorite holiday, tough, got to go for the july to go fourth of july. Maybe you're .
going up or are we talking just is the party just always epic or what what I mean.
I think it's just the time of year is always like seems to be nice out. The weather is great. Everybody's excited to eat barbecue and drinking alcohol like that just sounds like A I mean, what are we talking about?
Sounds like my kind of party.
right? There's usually water involved, but you're combining like all of my favorite things in the one holiday like and not to mention like one thousand nine hundred and eighties like rocking roll and classic rock and yeah and you know whatever else thing to the boss would.
Who wear shorts on on july .
forth or what I kind of room. I I had a really good pair of George and I go commander usually and I just, I not, I just saved them. I'm a heavy thigh ripper and they just burn a hole. Them suckers.
Over here, they were a great pair, George too, and I lost some.
Rest in peace, command boy man.
The second favorite holidays, prime father's day. I think father's day is like such. That needs to be, we need to, we need to start celebrating father's day as a country. We need to commit to the celebration of father's day.
You don't think we .
no not to know when is the last time you've even heard a .
father's day every year.
Do what do you do for the other? You, we both buy flowers for mom mothers.
What do you do for this and ad a hard for tax?
Listen, i'm not trying to bash moms. Okay, i'm not trying to bash moms. Love moms. They are going a lot.
a lot. There are a lot .
of love is not saying I think the world is plentiful of great moms in this world, right? Everyone for them, not to everyone. The vast majority individuals on this planet have a great mom, therefore, because of the shortage of great dads in this world.
And i'm being serious with this, for those you had a great dad, consider yourself lucky man. Next time it's father's day, celebrate the fuck out of that old man, right? You were lucky to have a great one like travels and I were and like i'm going to beat of my children hopefully.
Um you know that's a holiday that we need to get more behind in this country, and that's a holiday we need to get more behind, not to get preach, i'm getting preachy. I do this too much. I stop everyone.
They celebrate Jason.
once you, no, I didn't say IT come on. I'm not even like a real daddy and my kids don't even do anything. They just if if you if your kids can pop in p on their own yet you're you're an infant, you know that's not you know you're not doing with real real shit.
