Yeah, like I I won five grain and I went to eighty seven and running in my foundation a choice, whoever that is a choice.

I lost my first karaoke contest after, though, was the first time I ever lost karaoke. I thought you said you were judging. Yeah, I was. Which is probably why I didn't win. I was on stage the entire time.
So did you complete already judging?
I come, I judged IT, and then they threw me on stage to have some fun. And I got to sing .
us on pop for you part of .
the competition. yeah.
And so you so did you not choose yourself?
No, jay is your judge. And I only do that on my mount rushmore. That's IT. I will never do IT ever .
again lost your first, uh, carioca.
I last cariole, but I won the long drive contest and I hit ball before urse. I've ever hit a ball straight in my life.
What what is IT about? Hit the ball really .
far maine, like feeling that home runs swing men, you just hit the ball right in the meat. The and IT just, you feel, go through your hands.
into your arms and down to the of.
And then I walked up in three, put and I to drove the Green, and I got a part.
hey, men, even, even the good one. Three.
how far you hit? I hate .
IT about IT went about.
you know, exactly. Stop now.
The ball went three eighty, but they Carried three sixty. And that was what they were judging. They were judging to Carry on IT. Yeah.
the ball street was like one ninety nine.
which was fun. But it's IT was absolutely nuked. IT was absolutely nuked. We are an elevation. We are elevation so that you get account all but I wind hurt. I'm not goni there's a little wind hurt.
Wind in the face is so who .
knows who knows how far that .
thing really what about .
you is i'm a title list, A V X guy specifically. Don't know what that even means. I just like the color of the box, the boxes, a nice force Green.
I really don't know what any of the access or anything. No, that can I get some title less proves? Yes, you want the probe.
X A prox should just be hit .
like a top, like I don't. None of this stuff is technology. You're going to make a difference in the way I eat this ball.
You be surprised. You be surprised.
You won't.
You wouldn't be surprised. No, but honestly, the funny part, the funny, fuckyou. The bridge down. So dad got to meet a few people, got to introduce him to a few people. Just missed Charles barkley.
He would love that man.
Both of them would, if I was going, keep going up to check and see my dads here. And oh, many have introduce and introduce in every single time I had the chance. I was just too drunk to two together. That's all IT is just how many beers can .
you drink in days?
Meet everybody.
But yeah, so who did he meet?
He met, came up to me. He came out to me. He was like, I just just got .
ran into by the bus.
Start crack IT up.
How log has he been holding that joke?
Oh my god.
Just wait for that dad joke to be unleashed.
Well, got me. He got me with IT. Yes, we made your own bed as I introduce him to Steve Young, obviously josh Allen.
who we played with.
I got to introduce stick now. He played in the match and he hit ten people. They is an absolute stick right now.
Every single shot takes off is like that looks like a pro hack. Mean, I guess he is smooth swing, just a big, just a big ball player. Man, just the athlete just out there just hacking away.
Men, nice, big, strong. dude. The f he he was probably the best player we played with canino elvers was cano elvers. He is pretty weet was member watching in his box in match A J place place golf. I actually won that round out all of us. So like I end up, I ended up winning the first match and I made sure that the media knew that I that I beat pat my homes for the first time in in a golf outing, one round of golf, that is. And then he creese right back at the rest of the weekend.
How big was over us?
Know he's about like a Terry hill size.
So one eighty, one eighty. IT looked like.
he looked like he was a strong dude. I'm not sure if he fights one eighty, a little heavy, eight I hope that somewhere close to wear in this of a memory um that I was as pretty hamet do you think you take him, man, you know what? He kind of, he kind of he kind of walked up on me pretty quick one time, just kind of like he had a good shot and got into IT a little bit um and I was just like, I don't even want to fuck around with this.
You can you can try know a boxing and OK elvera is one sixty eight, one sixty eight up.
So tao was awesome, came over to, came over to, made way through like this, pretty cool. And I can see the excitement on his face. He was like when we left the apple store.
That's about jazz as he get what is the strategy for fighting a perennial ua accomplished .
boxer boxer. You to go to take .
to the ground.
right? Yeah, you to take you to the ground, grab shirts, take away their ability to actually throw job.
This is my strategy. I'm grabbing something right. I'm throwing IT at them, yes, so that they have to occupy their hands nice and then i'm taking up up called i'm .
just going to bear .
him and put three hundred pounds right on top of their frame and smother to death is.
Such a decade. What about what about a guy like tyson fury who's like six.
nine time me and my fight? Tyson fury, I am. I five.
Tyson fury, i'm finding like a brick and i'm trying to through IT is nek APP to cripple maybe I don't know. I I have to figure that one out. He's got the rich.
I'm talking about the size advantage game. Somebody got the reach on you. How do you neutralize reach? You ve got to get inside of him proudly. The same strategy, get something, occupy their hair.
Better hands and but inside the case.
just as hard as you can, instead of take down right .
to the balls.
right to the eyes or balls, eyes, eyes or balls, you've got a cripple and .
right away do try, I mean, hitting type and fury, right? The eyes. That's tough, man.
He's got the he does. He's very good with the head movement stuff. I like that that's to occupy with you got to occupy the eyes so that you come in at the side.
Yes, basic because you want to fighting one of .
one or h or you do the patented our golf courses that work really well. It's very Sandy. You reached down there, get someone that sand and. Dom.
get see yeah and then .
is black .
and balls are very .
think about about you .
know how like you're not supposed to hit somebody .
in the balls in the fight like it's very cowardly move I don't give a fuck. The first thing dad ever said is I give you ever to go fight, kick straight the Price. Just link the first advice he ever gave me.
what? Don't go ninety percent at the time. The person who hits the first punch wins. That's the only advice I ever got from dad. What IT comes to fight, shoot first, asked questions later. I think about about ten years old when he told me this, I was definitely in middle school.
pretty fucking good right there.
with just one of the reasons i've never fought dead, because he is not a clean fighter. He made that very apparent. He always, what was his favorite thing, you would say, when we started to getting bigger than him was OK. You got to go to sleep sometime.
I don't know what's .
going to happen when i'm sleep. What are you going to do?
Kick in the balls.

his believable stories? I mean, who the fuck just pulls out of their back pocket milk and come everywhere? Like on a podcast i've never like? He was guns, a blazing man.
And then he called IT a still act tipe. I was, I got there. And this guy, I was like, a, well.
he gets IT everyone loved demand. He got us into the top five back into the top five of all sports podcast on apple spotify. No, what? Jules, thank you, men.
Thank you for the laughs to thank you for the stories. I was giggling, my entry the entire fin time I was laughing. I couldn't be, I couldn't keep IT together. And I felt we were all just listening to Julian talky. Just IT was his podcast for the day there.
I didn't know what I would say about my favorite bit because there were so many unbeliever parts oh, go I if i'm going football part. I loved when he was talking about human time building up such a relationship that he would didn't matter what the rat was on paper. He could just tell by jewel's body mechanics what he was about to do and wear to throw the ball if i'm going like straight story, the Randy moss talking to his mom on the phone and july in china to pluck with them and really was like that says on a beach fucking.
Classic, classic, that's a great girl. And shut out a rainy man for sudden example.
talk about and then is like a person ation of them. I mean, I thought I was talking.
guys are taliman, can I talent? So if you miss the episode, go check IT out now. It's going definitely one of my favorite, if not my favorite, gets so far most entertaining for sure. Other new news, the nfl season is almost here. So that means mad .
and ratings are out here. All right, travis, uh, is officially sixty six. Just kidding me .
on upside downs.
just kids. Chavis is officially in ninety nine. I think IT maybe the most unsurprising rating that was released when I came out. Travis, ninety nine, my homes also in the ninety nine club. I'm a ninety two, which are, this is fair.
Nine, two percent?
yeah. I mean, I you we already know I like the number eight to two. I'm in the top ten for all online ranking. Apparently I D know this because i'm reading, uh, the production sheet right now. Do you wanted know what our first met and scores were?
I remember one because I actually play the game.
You remember your first ever met in square.
and I play the game. Musician.
but you, but we both have. C, T, you remember ten, eleven years ago?
Well.
I remember something .
just this with men.
What was your first man?
Or my first man scores like seventy two or seven? three. nice. I thought my speech should have been higher. I think I was around like a eighty substance speed, as I know I needed.
That is the one thing with mad and ratings. I feel like they just give you artificial numbers when you're Young because like even though you're just as other people, if they give you more speed, you're going to be the same rating as those guys. So they ve got to find a way to level.
This guy should all be. I just found this out today. I didn't have a rating because I wanted to in the game. I guess my first.
so good. Yeah, you came into the league before updated rosters.
I think what happened is my first year in the league was a lockout year. So technically, I wasn't on the team until after matter had been released.
Ah yes, so you didn't even like sign .
the wavers or anything on or anything. I think I might have been in the new union. Either way, there was a whole like fiasco o my first year in the league, so apparently only .
only contracted after the game came out.
the team has been unable to find out what my rating was the first year, even if was in the game. But my second year, I was a seventy six, he looks like so ah my first year in the game was rated higher than you. You've first in the game.
I don't .
know that apple's apples.
but IT is, by the way, fox Jason actually started his wiki year. So the fact that he wasn't on the game is hilarious because you're old en to not have updated rosters.
I think I was on the game. I don't know who knows, but I think he was like from like the documentation, like looking back at the stuff. I wasn't one of the original releases from the game probably is what happened that make sense?
One hundred percent no .
so um either way um I think ninety two a fair number for this for this year. I feel I see a lot of people get all been out of shape about these moderators and like, oh, can you believe such as such as this or this guy is that and I see a lot of people say, like, just because is the ninety two years and one of the best centers in the game. But I think it's some more than fair number because I got my weaknesses. Listen that pull in nine and one hundred.
i'm then i'm going to do my guy in .
space is put pass book yeah I I don't know ninety two would be very generous. That just be an out. I think that was crazy about the overall rating is like everybody has their posters and legally your travis, he's ably one hundred, you put him out of receiver, but like you .
put black eight.
eighty six.
they did. I think I think i'm actually is seventy six. I think I think that's that's my black and greater.
I've always wondered how IT gets to ninety. What is the metric in there?
They they got they got unique ways to do IT. Now like there's like super and it's not just it's not just numbers on like the strength. The speed is not like those numbers. It's like the ability like oh, this guy has spectacular catch attached to him. So like in the game, he will make spectacular catches or always like double a like I forget some of the like badgers that they have on maden.
I know you talking about .
yeah like like member the spector x factor came out in cw the one year. Like that's what they .
attached to and I can have or like a impact .
locker exactly. yes. So like that's that like kind of a boost your rating too.
I'll tell you what I ignited to the fair rating.
I think it's very fitting thing is very fitting .
yeah it's very itty with the ninety two percent to say, yeah now the one thing that did pissed me off with matter, the only rating thing that came out where I was like, man, fuck that last year when the ratings came out, my toughness was like a sixty and I was like, they can fuck in shot on me for passport I want, but they will not call me fucked in a week. I am no .
way your toughness is right.
Last year he was as long as my toughest is up. This year, i'm happy with the rating. I could be a fifty, but as always, my toughness is at ninety nine. That's the only fucking thing I care about. I want to be ninety and tough.
I wanted know what that fucking rating even means. What does that rating mean? Like if you have a ninety nine toughness, what do you do in the game Better than anybody else? Just stay in the game. I want to know how does how do I get that?
I feel there are certain attributes that the only reason they're there is to make the you the right overall that they want you you know mean. So that's okay. Hey, the sky, we went to be an eighty six.
His speed is really good when we got bring the toughness down so that he's not an eighty eight. We want them to be right there because there is an eighty eight and he's about this kind of can be about that kind. Can somebody tell me my toughness rating?
I wants to know right now what my toughness rating is and if it's below anything below eighty, a boycott you've met in. We're going to get to the bottom of this. Apparently it's harder to find.
I never boy out you. Thank you for my nine and nine twenty.
I love you. I play .
you everyday. We're going to suggest this. So what makes an all Kelsey team, maybe a me and Jason in the backfield? You know, I would love to see you there.
There are people out there that would, I would love to see, put me A Q, B, maybe hand in the ball after the jays, and see if, and get nine to pop like you did in high school. Um run the option. How good with that? Tb.
well, who's your plane got a bit? Yeah because even though we both play corner bec, I would say your state are probably little bit Better. Um and I did play run back in high school so we would be a dynamic wishbone .
offence midline with jin drivers.
Kelly, i'm playing office of line and running back and travis, every everything else. I am curious about what would be because I think when you move guys to like positions that they don't Normally play, they're overall changes, right? I think so I think if you move like a corda to running back because .
you're speed is still the same speed.
no. But but you like you're rating at that position like in the debt chart. Like if you go to the deep chart and you move a guy into a spot that Normally doesn't in that position, pretty sure that the overall rating there .
wouldn't be an overall rating.
but it's overall at that position is not overall at time.
I feel like the overall rating is it's already to guy your throwing power and your throwing accuracy.
don't think so. Calculate are off on that. I think if I remember correctly, when you do go the debt.
the overall rating.
just letting you know when you go to the debt chart, when you put somebody in a position they don't Normally play like they put your receiver, you're rating would change. Well, my your probe, they put you .
at full back.
they put well, that's so this is my question. If IT does change.
I ve only increased my that increase my ratings when I put myself .
a quarter bit, i'd be curious if they moved me and you, if they went to the debt chart and they moved me to tight end, if my overall, what would that be? And if they moved you to center, what would you over already?
You public catch worth shit.
my cat, my catching rating is probably lower than my tough.
We only nine fingers, nine fingers.
Well, I don't know the man who knows that don't be .
releasing that to them. News, well, ninety two four centers. Please fuck around with matter and let us know. See you guys can come up ah oh, I just .
released the ratings.
So no here shortly. Want to actually release .
tough to ninety six they found IT. Yeah, you're tough.
Sound of a bucks, jon. I know why .
are about the rest? Fuck in my about my toughness up.
Your toughness is Better than you overall.
My toughness last year was sixty .
and i've never been more for so away. IT was sixty.
Jason speeds seventy four actually pretty, pretty accurate today he's episode is spotted .

to the show.
Let's go to keep i'm going on right .
out for this.
I know as we're talking about IT next wednesday win this drops travis. I will both officially be in training cap and let me tell you, I am looking forward to the shit show that is about to .
into the show indeed.
Yeah I mean, listen, training camp is like such the mind fuck because it's so exciting and you're so happy to be back around the guys and like be with your teammates and at the same time you like, man, this is going a fucking and suck and i'm going to love every second of.
no, it's train to camp. I do love train camp, man. This has been a fun off season and has been a fun off season.
But I have had zero structure of my life, and I am ready to just get right back to IT. I don't have to answer anybody's questions. I don't have to do anything off the field.
I can just tell everybody fucked off. The perfect excuse Julie was saying, and he was saying might to be my favorite thing he said, was I did when football over with, you do not have an excuse. You have to go to everything here.
You want to come to my dinner, my event and I are. My training cap can make.
So I got my body saw, I got to get some work done. Hey.
we're having a barbecue over the house. Want to come on my man and train? I would I would love to.
I just that time of year, you know, we've got to get back into trying to go get the gold. It's funder in. You guys don't .
travel anymore now. So we start we'll get in the years because I know you guys and andy read.
yeah, we've been in the same year.
So we started out when I first wasn't filled out. You're going to lee, which was awesome in some ways. Get away. I like getting away.
I actually like destination at a part of because we did that in college when we went to hire er ground at since. And there's something really cool about just like you can't man, you're with the guys and all you're focusing on is here, there's no distractions. You're playing cards at night because there's nothing to do. You're finding ways to have fun with guys and that creates a more of a bond when you're able to have those little breaks. So we still do have done that before, you know, now we do like to joint practices or sometimes i'll have a joint practice elsewhere.
I don't know where actually doing that this year, unfortunately, but you get like a four, five days in like in new york or something like that when you're play in the jets where you kind of get that, but we don't get that like we used to in lei, I and lei, what was cool about lei? I was completely open. So I still remember first year training camp lockout lifts and i'm hitting a crowder sled, which for those who that don't know, as I got a two man sled, this one, this crowd, so I was as a two men, and you had IT with your shoulder lifted up.
And there's like four fat dudes behind me, cheer me on drink of beers. And when I do, this is very fun. I've never I never had people practice like was IT was a different experience and yeah .
go out there I I .
saw was firing people up in the bleachers know I was like how of those an energy whenever there's people they're watching and fans.
it's a whole different world. Training camp in college was two days book. You're put on the same pads that you just got soaking wet and sweat and have a dried yet you're put on shoes that are like feel like you're walking in a swap and you're doing at all with just woods around you in college and coaches screaming at you mother fucker you up and down to try and finish.
You were in your head, all your head or just the guys around. In the nfl, we got five to ten thousand people every day screaming their their tail off to watch paddy. My homes didn't do something special, just actives. And it's it's absolutely electric. We go out to joe, missouri. Get about an hour away from town, go to missouri, western state, where they get some really nice facilities there that I believe the chips kind of pumped some bread into to make look nice and and then set up set up training cape every single year.
Obviously, the practicing is isn't necessarily the fun part being with the fans. There's some fun parts of practice, but being around the guys is the best part. And then when you get the destination, the biggest thing with the destination spot is what are the sleeping arrangements like and what is the cafeteria like? What's missi western stayed king with? What's the everybody.
the one and their own done? You put to orbit to put two twin beds together. I usually go to walmart, get a nice phone mattress, throw that thing on top.
I can sleep on the fucking floor during three came also exhausted. So I really don't care about my sleeping and arrangements. Um and then yeah, the ac is always on fifty five degrees, so you got to go get a bigger comforter, bring a big old comforter.
Coach re doesn't let and fuck the cool always to five yeah so the sleeping arrangements are smooth if you have like a sweet so you share bathroom with a guy, the cafeteria wear that you're spent in three, three meals a day. Snack at night is like a freaking nine o'clock to ten o'clock, and you just go in there and just hang out at the end of the day, and that's where you hear the stories. Is that where you get to really find out where guys are from, what they're about and their views of life?
Well, is what's the food like a missile?
Western state? I enjoy IT I joys got Better .

what is this is that I don't know what I don't know.
Is that this color far pizza delicious? No, it's not delicious. I mean, it's lucking disgusting. If I be analyst IT, i'll eat IT because it's proudly ly healthier. And you know I want to be I want to be accommodating to people's dietary restrictions. But this is not as good as do you there right now.

what do you looking forward to specifically in camp .
this year recreating the meshing? Just recreate the mode every single year you go into camp in. It's like the first day of school you ve got um you got new pieces to the team.
You know we got a very veteran team. Allow the guys from last year, super people are coming back with its you've got ta recreate IT every single year. You can't bank on, you know having the chemistry you had last year, having the have the you the players that you had last year.
I'm doing the same thing this year. You've got to attack IT like its brand new every single year. And that's that's how i've learned and that's how coach read teaches IT, you know. So i'm just excited to get after man, see what this moves about.
I could not agree more. I cannot tell you how many fans come up to me. We going going back to the superball. We're going to go back to the subway like that is so far not what I been to focus on like and i've just trying to make a new day one, a training cabin and all.
We ve got a new plays. We ve got new teammates. We got this new vibes. Like, you can do the same thing over and over again. You do the same thing over over again week to week, let alone year to year. So you got got to keep evolving in this thing, trying to find the strength of the new guys and how they mess with how everybody has evolved their game as the as the vets keep coming in. And um that's the key.
It's going to be a new year is a new team. No matter if you have ninety percent of your roster back and all your coaches back, it's never the same beauty year in the league. So I would agree, and that's what i'm looking forward.
I am just looking forward, get back out there, getting to work, talking to everybody, talking about we did this last year. What if we did this or what if we do that? Or seeing the way a Young guy has progressed his game and seeing in on tape, right, seeing the first hand, because there's guys that have made really good strides.
We're got a guy in particular. I don't want to put him out there yet, but I mean, he's stronger than i've seen him in years and i'm really happy with where he's at. And i'm excited to see what happens for a train kit type stuff.
the juices because you .
you see in the work that he's put in, right? And and there's a lot of guys that i'm excited to see how they do IT. One of the best things that happen every training camp is the one of two guys that come out of nowhere. And you're .
just like .
the man and these are the guys that .
he's a guy that I continually come .
back from. He kind of came out of nowhere. Super undersize guy, similar in summer spector dance roles. I don't want to. I mean, nobody y's famous roles now, but but boston worked his way up. Nothing shine out and camp and we ve had a number of those guys know you like you said.
there's a guy every single year that that is jumps out.
Nobody's thinking that there were me on the last year, right? Like one of those guys every year, that is just a place his way on the team. And everybody loves that guy because you realized that very tough.
There is no politics behind this. There is no, uh, gift of this guy getting a ross spot. This guy earn that shit and fucked in.
Everybody loves that. One of my god has not hasn't even come close to the the peak of his startup like he's still on that rise. And his joy forth and men been in a tighten room. He got banged up a few years ago, but I remember his first training campus, first time in the titan room uses make a place left and write, everybody's just whisper and in the we got we got a can boller over. It's really, really big athlete cking he can go get IT he can run and he's got crazy energies, explosive ness is there and everybody's just kind of like behind the scenes, like pretty good you last year, I say patio right back, you see if you again the ball of two and his energy is how he finishes the violence and room.
you don't mean he like fight the ground and the .
defense which which shows that anybody trying to go in and make a team out there yeah energy if you bust your ask every single play and show that you have a lover and excitement for this game more than the guy next you you're gone to see that on film and it's going to show and I think honestly, the foobar guys, if there are them, they find a way to should reward for that.
Stand out man. If if you're finishing above and beyond everybody else on the field.
everybody notices that .
fortune is he willing to do, the black block is he willing to go do that is the one thing that urge you more respect from the offence than, I think anything. Everybody knows what a violent place that is for the time.
especially when it's on first down in the team a, you are going against no.
this again that in training. So train watch there's will not only keen, not cut, but there's installs for every day. So after you've won wag, what the first chip run, all the other seven, eight, watch the works. And IT just turns into like i'll never forget we had a joint practice with the dolphins. Brent slc is still on the team and we installed .
work for the that we're sale.
And it's like not even like a bodied up thing because this is like the miami dolphin starting the and so can we ran that play? I don't know. Fourteen times that at least at least so was like, do this is just so ignorant. I can't do IT.
And so IT is such a violent .
collision. Every single play, oh my gosh.
that was but that's foobar is fine right there.
We've had guys it's always like a lot of times they don't make the starter do that block like they'll put IT like we got waked this one r day, but the first to get out of which you can do and we had a we had a guy.
maybe I just the one that you know that guy.
everybody is done that .
spot and well there.
So they were in the rights and not have to .
do IT again in practice or the rise.
I forget what I was a few years ago. This guy was a, he was a man, a man amongst boy. He had zero fear, and he can cost himself the first day. And he was happened.
how? how? What happens? how? What happens.
And I like what happened as such, as such that they were like, yeah, he he's out a cup.
We went face first into a brick wall so .
he didn't tell his fate.
Yeah, he just really.
The first three were unbelievable that what's the D. S. Found out, this is what's happened for the day was not good.
I guess, is here the enemy screaming at me? Like first couple years, we have to be able to run the ball when they know we're run in the ball. B like we run another play, he would just run a different place.
I don't like this one when they know it's coming. Yeah, you've been in A D read training camp. You ve been in a few different training camps. A very unique one in chip Kelly. When when andy read left, what what do you think the biggest difference from from a andy read train to care, you can remember to the .
others and these first all the long .
days yeah no coach read is get every bit of that freak the the union time sheet.
So typically, and I don't know this the way andy still does not, but you don't start with meetings, you start practice foobar, right? So the install happens the night before the morning of at ATM. You are on the eight or nine. You're on the field now.
It's used to be eighty class.
used to be eighty, so you're on the film practicing. And that and the other thing that stands out about andy is of long practices. I don't know if he's adjust that now because .
I think two two and half hours, I figure what the max is but where max and I should .
out i'm not messed with you. We would have some when he was three .
hours and I believe that I mean, it's union up now yeah you know the nfl pa came in and was like, you we ve got we got to look out for these guys.
I'm not, can you I don't know that we have any places over two hours with a neck. I get on like maybe like two fifteen on the long side, but there are most all two hours in your off of view. And I think that that doesn't sound that sounds like .
you're not put in and enough work. But at the same time, if you're work in your ass off, you don't mean for those two hours, you're still getting plays in and everything .
and you get a lot accomplishing those two hours still. Honestly, what IT makes a different service, just not being on your feet for an extra hour on the field. I think like even though you don't think you're doing IT, when you're just standing there watching like a special teams drill, you're standing around watching the three go.
Even though you're not doing anything, you're still on your feet and walking around. And I think that adds up. But actually.
you don't have the backtrack on that shit. Anybody got a fucking in question? You guess what?
The super pool last year? Number one, backtrack. I'm .
just saying .
how hard why .
andes? I think we're harder. Like even though we honest, I don't know that we did that much more with andes with the three hours we were just out there so long.
So like just being out there is a growing thing in the heat with pads on in the helmet, standing around watching all your buddies go. And then on top of that, andy has, in my opinion, the worst drill that i've done in training can, which is one gradual, oh my gosh, ood. I don't ever want to do long drive drill ever again.
We did long drive in in O T S.
Ah you know part .
on your part on no, yeah.
it's different with the heat pads, helmet like all that on IT IT is not fun for those .
of you that that don't know what long drive drill would be. It's a scripted set of place or an on script to set a place um that the coaches have for you that the ones will go against the ones um for about anywhere from sixteen and really yeah fourteen to like eighteen plays I always remembered .
like fifty to eighteen depending on the day but yeah the day .
right so you'll start on one side, the field. You literally just that it'll be set, the ball be set and they'll be scripted to be set at a certain no matter how many yard you gain on a play, you can scope touch down as a wide receiver unlike the like an eighty yard touched down and you're going to have to come back and run another play on with like seventy yards left.
You keep going every five ge down the field yeah fifteen players right?
It'll start on the twenty and I will end on the red zone .
and there's no service. So that's where like for the online, like the first five plays are pretty hard. But then after that, the deal, they're not certain issues.
A big little lean on that man and keep them hands tight. My first training .
can we did one IT was like a fifteen play drive in the high. It's humid as hell in the morning because all the dudes on the ground, it's hot.
You find out a lot about yourself. F and long dress.
we call a screen on the like twelve play.
Oh, perfect. Yeah, get up.
And with the blind didn't touch a single person in on the ground and and he had to call a time out, he said, time out, right? You are Young fly.
I don't know. I don't know that he's ever done that before. We had officially call a time out in the long drive drill. That's so much .
your first day and i'll get the eighty reach there if i'm like if I like, have a mental like laps because that's what IT is. It's making you think while you're exhausted, while you think you can't move. It's making you think about a play, think about what the other differences do with the other side.
The balls doing nap counting, huge thing. Remember, the count is not only that, but it's just making you think of the play that you they just installed for the first time in the set and like the eighth installed of the training camp and you're thin. You got like two hundred plays already in your mind and you got to think of this one off play when your dog shit tired in the middle of, you know, one hundred and ten degrees.
And IT makes you focus IT makes if you find that's what I am saying, you find a lot about yourself on how you know manage a situation of like that. And and I just IT prepares you for the game. If you ever get called in a situation word, you're not mentally weak. And because the minds always got to match what .
you do in then we had the navy seals come in one year with chip, and they talked about Operating in that state is like a big part of like their philosophy is like knowing how to Operate in adverse conditions when you're when you're tired or you know you ve been walking in or your hiking up mountains for miles and now the sudden you got to refocus in and we can be on the dot or your lives on the line, right? Like that's the ultimate stakes.
And they use the term where I think he was a nabs that was somebody in the military, but they use the term when you're in that state, you're in what they call code black. So now that's like our state, like whenever somebody so tired and they just do like this block where they just do like to turn style, like a big reason to black man, he just jumped outside. He never gave up a sack, and he just put the wrong way, isn't go black?
Becomes the sideline is to check in his head through. You even know what has happen. You remember all those.
But man, that that is so real. Operating when everything feels good is the easy part.
Be able to do .
IT while you're fatigue is so important. I honestly like, I think long drive drill is a great drill.
I really do. I need that shit. I need that shit as why I like training camp.
You need at least one or two of those in training camp. good. And if you're lucky, you get one honestly, in one of the precession games, you get like a long drive. Hopefully you score on IT and then you're done. But you get that feel for because it's a completely .
different feel. Yeah, it's different red zone too, man. You get in that red zone towards enter that long drive already everything condense, everything happens quicker and your dog should tired, trying to fuck and get the mind to match the feed and pasi man.
he, why didn't you go to break right there?
What do you look at the ten place before and running? Um yeah encountered was strategic. I I don't even know someone to says he'll strategically like chAllenge guys every long drive drive like he'll make sure that he calls like a wide .
you hope to call .
like A Y deep cross and they will call like the fake deep cross seattle and a call you know me he would like call plays like down the field for certain guys where they have to run and they have to be accountable in situations. And that, I mean is strategic, is what I said. And if you don't if you don't answer the bell, you're going to hear from and and that's how coach keeps keeps the team accountable and keeps everybody fighting even when you know it's not convenient for them. If if that makes sense for sure, you even put him my home set, a baby said, if you can get through an andy retraining can then you you're going to be able to get to the nfl season.
There's a reason why he's been so successful with a degree. Also tied up training came what is? We have the rookie camp, right? We have rookies government. For the first time, their botts .
experiences, they were just.
they were just together. Do you guys have anything that you do with rookies as veterans? Do you have Carry pads?
And that's probably is as far as IT goes, I don't .
i've never had I got I don't is like very much for being anti hazing, which I looked about IT.
There's no lucky show or anything like that I think we try to do in one year. And IT wasn't exciting and coach readers like that when I do when I ever again. So you know, IT is what IT is, code as as deals. And we keep in move. You guys do anything.
Rookie was, we've never been big hazing. This been a few guys that come from other teams, and they have guys cut their hair. We do the bigger thing that we do that we started doing, a dug was like a rookie singing parts like every year. The rook, rook, based on where they were drafted or on drafted, will get up in front of the team meeting and know either single song.
Big body from georgia last year.
Oh yeah. Jordan Davis.
David had a banger.
Yeah, he can saying now he can say, you find out some guys actually can Carry you too, which is fun. I don't it's turned into just singing though.
be a talent show like almost you go to the comedy egg.
You can do whatever you want. And that's what I was when doug was first we had a full back line backer who uh did the best joke I had ever heard when the Peterson was a coach. What should we do? IT, please?
I steal IT one thousand percent. Still the thunder. I mean.
he still, he didn't create the jokes, all just do. So he gets up there in the middle of team meeting and his a guy, there's these three guys and they sit around a table and the first guy comes up and he's thinking to themselves, as you know what very fast. I I think i'm so fast.
I think i'm the fastest man in the world. So he goes out the time him in the forty or dash, and he sends this time in to the gin's book of world records. Second guy says, you know what, i'm tall.
I'm so tall. I think i'm the tall lest man in the world. So they get the measuring time up, they measure them, they take a picture and they send IT off to, they give us book world records.
The third guy says, you know what? I got a small dig. It's so small.
I had think you might be the smallest dick in the world. So they take out a ruler, measured IT, take a picture, send off. They give us booger role records.
They're around a few weeks later, and the results come back. The first guy opens the letter. He's excited.
I did IT. I'm the fastest man in the world according to the ginnis bugger world records. Second guy ripped up in life here I on the chillest in the world. Third guy getting excited, opens his letter and he says, who the fuck is doug? Peter said.
Brought the entire house. Down.
brought the entire house down.
He was probably going in. Then he got cut right up to train a kid. But he was a funny as you. I think we actually kept them on like practice squad.
Yeah, move room storm, right.
man. Yeah, that's that's the crazy we get as we have the talent show. I don't do the s thing that I do really.
The one thing I really do with the rookies that I think is important is you're going to hold bags. And one, you're going to hold bags because when you get older, you've on the right not to hold the bag. But more importantly, holding the bag is actually an important thing. And you need to learn how to hold the bag properly, especially would you like like we're hit mate locks if we want you to hold the bag this way.
Need to do that. You have to because we need that. We need to feel that we need .
ah you really get so many report season. So you're going to not only in training cable, you going to try and make the team and learn the guard or tackle or center position, you're going to learn how to hold this bag to prepare the starters for the season. That's about this big place.
yeah. And there are guys that will literally be signed on practice ad solely because we like the way they hope looks. Yeah, we need this. This is more important right now for the team. Then what you can do in the game, because the chances you play and honest sly are pretty small, the chances of getting the .
chances are there, but you, more .
importantly, get land and digson ready. Done a lot already, getting the entire unit honed in that is a vital role that we do not overlook. But in the other thing that I like the work is do in filled up, if we got the read water rice, wait and right after practice, and there's nothing Better right after a hot growling training can practice in some readers, mango water rice goes down just right.
We ve got that water alone, sit there net is delicious White watermelon you put .
like salt on IT.
No, not doing that shit like that. Should juicy assault go drive out? You got rookie Michael Victories.
The big good thing I remember from Michael just .
been so an all struck too. It's the fucking .
it's human highlight, real baby. I mean.
do I was like, remember I saw picture I didn't even see at your training camp. I saw a picture of you snapping the table to .
be different but he's like a living legend icon and like the football world and to be snap in the water. A guy like that was unbelievable um you know I still remember the ball that I guess the biggest thing that would turn out to me besides the fact that he was left ten so the him under center felt a bit different the first time he threw the ball over my head. He had like such a whip, like just like this end, like little snap that he would put on the ball that IT was just i've never to this day seen anybody have that it's and the ball .
would be rotating .
so fast would just could make this like this like like I was like a zing right past your ear and i'm my man i'm glad I didn't hit me in the here but that thing chicken like and I would just watch that because I was like is like a trick you know mike um was super welcoming to a rookie who you know was coming in out of nowhere to play with them and he was more than willing to meet with me and help me out offer guidance. He was just the best and I remember my obviously everybody talks about my shockin stamped and you know, is like, that's going back there now, that's going back. There are quick.
Now he did tell you a slow that shut down and just let you know that things come back pretty fast. And I I understand that is doing that.
We were understand a lot more back then in the office, but he was still when when I was a gun, IT was was a heater. The other counter back, I remember, was my man, vin chang, my man and vince ang was a riot. So between both of those guys back there, IT was so fun.
My worker year snap in and playing with both of vents made you feel like you just playing backyard. Foobar, mike was like this, larger than life, a person. So I was the very convinced. One time we went out after thursday, thursday, thursday, a Michael search of Venus playing, and we're in on a friday, one to print expose to be a perfect practice friday, like all died in and he's just float the ball and knows .
that on IT one of the house .
through an interception as my .
favorite one, IT was a Price and there were was in game.
I think he was in the game. Maybe you might have been pressed, and I can't remember to be also, I just remember on the sideline through the universe, somebody asked me, even invinted, what do you do not do in that ball? Is like, man, that's just one of them. Honey throws, you know, you just freak. You don't even know why you did IT.
He is agree with .
one of my favorite guys.
Eat your rooky year. Come out visiting you, man.
I ve saw him in texas two years ago, and I was only with him for a year. Um but obviously those guys were so influential for me that I remember all of them. But i'm at the club after the suburb .
and super yeah .
and I am and I like, man, I haven't seen vince in forever. I gotta go up to him and I got to talk. And this is, keep mind, this like the after after. Look like, this is like three in the morning. Like, this is like, this is after a long time.
yes.
And i'm like, there's no chance remembers me, but I I got to go up to him and I I must stop the courage. And I like vents. What's that man? I know you don't remember me, but I play with you and filled out. He had just say, I love playing with and says, you know 为什么? He said, selling, you know, I remember my center, I get some point to and more of me and bread .
salla and is .
a first IT is an animal man, that's that's close enough.
I going to .
x IT IT.
That's a bang, man.
IT was a world in my Ricky year between the lock out and playing with this a dream that was literally called the dream team. All these players and um you know high profile stars. Good times you have any Ricky, you're looking forward to seeing and came.
I mean, rushy rice is i'm excited to work with wide receiver at sm u, excited to work with him. Her's already good after IT looks like he's more fluent and a more more precise with how is run and rout and how is thinking those step rookie e proceeds are rookie OTA and all that. I mean, I could be a cluster fuck for for a guy to come in.
So IT looks like he a little more comfortable going into training camp in. I'm excited to work with a man. I decided to see everybody first from i'm excited to see how nine nine goes out there balls men, he was a study case state the work .
is i'm looking forward to most see what the online where you look like. I always look forward to seeing what the new guys to the room bring. Ah we have the draft pack and Tyler stein and some unstrapped guys that have come in and i'm excited to see what all these guys do. And um the other guys are obviously, we got a lot of Young defends of players, not even just workers that are going to be getting a shot in uh to to make names for themselves and build a nfl career. We got the two uh Young delima outside line backer with everyone to call non's Smith but none Smith in jane Carter from georgia get a chance to see what they look like.
You have the entire georgia defense of line for the past two years.
Yeah we ve got a lot of George players. There's going to be a some battles at line backer looking forward to see how that shapes out. You know yeah I mean, i'm like you said, i'm looking forward watching all these guys, sydney Brown, all the rockies that we have across the board um in Young guys in general, like you know, the things you look forward to most the guys in your room, the new guys that have been out to the team and what the position battles that are truly up for grabs.

We used to do sixteen of them.
Now we have we do six of the six year shuttle. But now it's like sixty. It's like six, twenty years. It's not even six, forty years anymore. yours.

Favorite moments? I mean, the live show was, I will remember that thing for every man. That was, that was a fun, eventful, obviously being there. But the bear pole, that things only just begin in, man, I could feel how much fun that was in in the excitement that that we could possibly bring to the next year, and how we can already make a Better both years.
I mean, there has been so many problem. I mean, the two life shows that we did the one in the city, the bear bowl life show know the interviews that we do jail and and hurts and pattern a homes and season know Charles but I mean you know that we have to talk etl men killed at last week. I just it's all been so good. Um you know I think that um IT would be hard to pick just one out. IT really was a magical year and hopefully this season too can somewhat match the magic that happened last season.
Let's put IT all together.
